Remote Senior Analytics Engineer

In this role, youโll be responsible for maintaining and improving our current data stack (Fivetran, Snowflake, dbt, and of courseโฆ Hightouch) as well as driving insights to key stakeholders across our team. \n\nWe anticipate that in this role youโll spend 60% of your time building and maintaining models and reports and 40% of the time interfacing with stakeholders to deeply understand their needs and surface insights. \n\nHow to know this role is for you? If your first question when reading the newest dbt release notes is โwhat business problem could this solve?โ then you might be a great fit.\nHow you'll spend your time \n\n\nBe responsible for the uptime, quality/integrity, and cost of our data stack (which currently includes Fivetran, dbt, Snowflake, Looker, Hex, and Hightouch - and could include whatever you think is best!)\n\nBuild strong relationships with stakeholders across Hightouch to ensure that: 1. weโre tracking the right information in our product and operational systems to best understand our business, 2. weโre delivering analysis that drives clear visibility into our KPIs, and 3. our data is driving actionable business results, all with the urgency that our rapidly-growing startup deserves\n\nDefine and maintain our data team coding standards/style guide - what should our code look like, what are best practices, and why?\n\nHelp us become a Data team that inspires other Data teams - give feedback to our Product organization on Hightouch itself, and provide guidance/mentorship to customer teams about their use of Hightouch and potentially other technical topics via consulting sessions and blogposts\n\n\n\nAbout you\n\n\n2+ years of experience with Fivetran, Snowflake, and dbt \n\nDemonstrated ability to understand business stakeholdersโ needs and translate those into additional data visibility and/or improved reporting \n\nA drive to find the right tool for the right job - while youโre passionate about being up-to-date with the latest technologies, business needs come before having the slickest technology stack\n\nSpecial note: if your title doesnโt have โengineerโ in it today - please donโt hesitate to apply! Weโd especially love to speak to folks who have transitioned into the data world from another analytical field (e.g., finance, revenue operations, or performance marketing)\n\n\n\nCompensation\n\nHightouchโs salary range for this position is $165,000 - $200,000 USD per year.\n\nAt Hightouch, we value impact over years of experience when it comes to your role and compensation.
