Otis is looking for talented frontend engineers to bring our vision of democratizing wealth to life. We're not looking for rockstars or ninjas; we're simply looking for smart people who are always willing to learn, enjoy collaborating, and never shy away from a challenge.\n \nYou'll be joining a lean engineering team working to build a consumer facing app at the intersection of culture and fintech, poised to scale in the coming year.\n\nNote that we are open to a range of commitment levels (full-time, part-time, and contract work) and are happy to work with team members to find the best work structure for their lives.\n\n**What you'll do:**\n* As a frontend engineer, you will play a key role building our mobile app in React Native and Redux.\n* This includes building new features, maintaining and improving our codebase, and providing feedback on APIs and architecture.\n* Our team is highly collaborative, and you’ll also have the chance to provide feedback on everything from culture to architecture, as well as team operations and the overall product.\n\n**Who you are:**\n* You have 2+ years experience with React or Vue.\n* You are obsessed with clean code. You take pride in great class design and choosing the right level of abstraction. Tests are your best friend.\n* You love keeping up with the latest developments in the mobile world. Last year, you were mad that Hooks for React hadn't been released yet.\n* You're familiar with REST APIs. You immediately wrinkle your nose when you see POST /update_name.\n* We prefer generalists over specialists and look for candidates with a history of pushing past their comfort zone and learning new things.\n* You understand—and are excited to join—an early stage company and have the opportunity to play a critical part in building the app and new features.\n* U.S. work authorization with no visa sponsorship required.\n\n**Want to learn more?**\nTake a look at our culture docs (here: [https://www.notion.so/otiswealth/Curious-about-Otis-46df28b7e37c4b1fa5e4681a0efda4e4](http://)), including details on compensation, potential projects, and more.\n\n**About Otis**\nAt Otis, we turn aficionados into shareholders. We believe in transparency, liquidity, and trusting your own gut. We're democratizing an otherwise closed market and making alternative assets accessible. Invest in the things that you value, and whose value you understand, for as little as $25 and build a portfolio better suited to a museum than a stock ticker.\n\n**Our Culture**\nWe have a saying here: “we design our culture like we design the product.” Culture is the most important foundation for a successful company. A great culture provides the context for people to deliver their best work. Our goal is to find the fastest way to win. Our culture is designed to allow us to achieve this (read more here: [https://www.notion.so/otiswealth/Culture-cf25a1c921b142b2a67ae993493bae13](http://)).\n\n**Transparent Compensation**\nWe don’t believe that better negotiators necessarily make better employees. Every employee can see their current salary, the salary levels for their team, and what each level’s salary increase would amount to in the future. This allows us to offer equal pay to all employees.\n\nOtis is an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to building a culture where diverse thoughts are welcomed and rewarded. \n\n#Salary\n$125,000 — $200,000\n\n\n#Location\n🇺🇸 US-only

Among our most notable investments are Mendix, Sendcloud, Mews, Zivver, Orderchamp and Stravito. We are currently investing from our 4th fund, which is €80M in size. \n\nOur mission is to be the first VC any European B2B software company meets. We get excited by (very) early-stage businesses, where the business mainly consists of the Founders and a handful employees. We invest in companies that have a sellable product and - in some cases but not necessarily - some initial revenues. \n\n**About The Role & Your Responsibilities**\n\nhenQ is hiring an Analyst / Associate to help us further improve our deal sourcing and analysis abilities, as well as the depth of our portfolio support. More specifically:\n* Sourcing leads (e.g. finding interesting B2B software startups to reach out to);\n* Taking first meetings with founders of sourced companies to assess their potential;\n* Doing research in the follow-up trajectories for the deals your sourced;\n* Supporting board members before / during / after board meetings with henQ portfolio companies;\n* Improve henQ’s sourcing methods, helping us find even more great B2B software startups even quicker.\n\n**Your Skills & Character**\n* You love learning and improving yourself;\n* You understand what makes people tick and care about that;\n* You are aware of both your own strengths & weaknesses, and love to help others to improve theirs;\n* You tend to make well-grounded decisions quickly;\n* VC is your passion, not something you do to fill week days;\n* You tend to say what you think and do what you say;\n* People love working with you(!).\n\n**Our Ambition for You**\n\nIn the long-term, we expect you to become a key member in the henQ of the future. To become that, we want to invest in at least one future B2B software leader (a company with annual revenues of >€100M & >1,000 employees in >10 countries) each year. We want to be able to attribute at least one of those to your personal sourcing & selecting abilities in the next four years.\n\n**What you can expect from us**\n* Join one of the fastest rising B2B Software VC’s in Europe;\n* Be part of the next Mendix, Adyen, Backbase, Zivver, UIpath, Mews, Celonis, Sendcloud;\n* Play a substantial role in our success rather than being a cog in the wheel;\n* Be productive in your own way and on your own time schedule;\n* A never ending stream of two-way feedback to improve both yourself as well as everyone you work with;\n* Work with and learn from VC’s who have been successful at venture investing for 15 years;\n* Get more carried interest much earlier than at any other fund, if you prove stellar performance in the first 18 months;\n* Unlimited vacation days. \n\n#Salary\n$45,000 — $67,500\n\n\n#Location\n🇪🇺 EU-only

**Full-time. Fully remote within CET±2. Still hiring post-Covid!**\n\nJust is a FinTech company building SaaS products for corporate treasury. We help CFOs and finance teams in large multinational companies forecast and manage their financial risk. \n\nWe launched our first foreign exchange analytics solution in 2019 and already serve 19 major corporate customers and 2 non-profits. \n\nWe’re currently developing a “liquidity forecasting” tool which lets companies forecast how much money they’ll have in the bank in the future, and stress test this forecast against various global events.\n\nWe are looking for someone to lead our product direction, from high-level strategy to detailed feature design. The product manager will work closely with our engineers to prioritize features and technical debt, and ensure they have a clear understanding of what should be built and why. \n\n\n**What we offer:**\n* Join a FinTech startup at the sweet spot - early enough that you can still help shape the company, but established enough to offer good job stability and growth prospects.\n* 100% remote working, unless you’d like to live in Oslo (it’s nice!) - and we’ll buy you some decent home office equipment.\n* Regular opportunities to get together with the whole company somewhere fun\n* €70-80k salary, wherever you are - we won’t low-ball you for being in a country with a lower cost of living.\n* Stock options, because we want it to be your company as well as ours!\n\n# Responsibilities\n * You’ll spend most of your time in the first months working on our liquidity management product - we have customers pre-committed to this, so we’re eager to launch as soon as we can.\n* You’ll be responsible for defining and prioritizing product features, working closely with our engineering team to make sure they fully understand your vision.\n* You’ll also need to understand technical debt and work with our engineers to facilitate decisions about priority and tradeoffs.\n* You’ll undertake customer research, engaging directly with our pilot customers to understand problems, requirements, and evaluate product concepts.\n* You’ll work with our sales team to develop go-to-market plans for new product features.\n* We’ll also ask you to develop a long-term product roadmap for the company, so we have a clear understanding of what we’ll be launching in the future. This will require quite a bit of research into problems and trends in the corporate treasury space. \n\n# Requirements\n* You need to have previous experience leading development of a financial product from the beginning.\n* You should have worked in a SaaS startup environment, and have a good understanding of how to validate product/market fit and of what makes a startup commercially successful.\n* You need experience working with financial products and data. A successful product manager will need to build a deep understanding of the mathematics underpinning our solutions.\n* You should have good understanding of UX research and design.\n* You should be highly data-driven, and enable to formulate and test hypotheses to ensure you make the right product decisions.\n* You need to be within ±2 hours of the CET timezone, because we think remote collaboration is really important.\n* We want you to be a fun person to work with! We believe that working together as a team is the most important thing for success.\n\n\n**Also good if:**\n* You have worked previously as a UX Designer or Product Designer, and can create mockups & prototypes to test with customers.\n* You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mathematics, engineering, finance, or a similar field.\n* You have some hands-on coding experience. \n\n#Salary\n$80,000\n\n\n#Location\nEurope (CET+-2)

Do we even need to mention it? It’s critical that our Accounting Assistant is ethical in all accounting practices.\n\nYou must love numbers and have eyes like a hawk. We’ve said it before, but it’s worth repeating: It will be your task to make sure you understand our processes and spot any numerical discrepancies. A high degree of accuracy in quality control is key to the long-term success of our business.\n\nYou have experience in QB Online and QB Desktop software. It’s important that our buyers and sellers know that we care. You will be responsible to help customers with financial questions and give priority service.\n\nYou have a dry sense of humor. To make this work, please be able to laugh. The work is serious enough. There are days you will find it challenging and often tedious. It’s okay to want to find the meaning of life through processing seemingly meaningless transactions and balancing numbers. Self-deprecating humor is an added PLUS.\n\nYou love problem solving. Finally, are you someone who enjoys playing Sudoku and is good at it? Do you love solving logic problems, brain teasers too? Then please apply! You might just be the fit we need! \n\n#Salary\n$40,000 - $55,000\n\n\n#Location\n🌏 Worldwide

*Build the infrastructure powering economic growth *\n\nStripe’s infrastructure powers businesses all over the world. We process payments, run marketplaces, detect fraud, help entrepreneurs start an internet business from anywhere in the world, build world-class developer-friendly APIs, and more. If you’re an infrastructure engineer here, you’ll get to build the systems that power our products.\nStripe doesn’t process quite as many requests as Twitter or Facebook, but we do care a very great deal about reliability. Every request we process is very important to everyone involved! We can’t go down because our users’ businesses depend on us.\n\nYou’ll be on a team that maintains a product we provide to the rest of engineering, like storage or message queueing. You’ll make decisions with a significant impact on Stripe. There is a lot of work to do to make Stripe engineers’ work easier and our platform even more reliable than it is today, and we’d love for you to be part of it. We’re close to the people using our systems, so we constantly get feedback that we can use to make them better.\n\nWe have a few dozen infrastructure engineers today spread across several different teams, and you’ll work with other infrastructure engineers as well as product engineers who use the systems you’re building.\n\nWe’re looking for people with a strong background (or interest!) in systems. We’d love to hear from you whether you’re a seasoned systems developer, or whether you’ve just learned you might like working with databases. Many of our infrastructure engineers work remotely, and we’d be happy to talk to you about the possibility of working remote.\n\n\n\n# Responsibilities\n **You will:**\n* Design, build, and maintain the core infrastructure used by all of Stripe’s engineering teams\n* Debug production issues across services and levels of the stack\n* Plan for the growth of Stripe’s infrastructure\n* Build a great customer experience for people using your infrastructure\n* To get a concrete idea of what projects you might work on here, see the “Projects you could work on” section.\n\n \n\n# Requirements\n**We’re looking for someone who has:**\n* Think about systems — their edge cases, failure modes, and lifecycles\n* Know your way around a Unix shell\n* Can debug complex problems across the whole stack\n* Focus on the needs of our users, both internal and external\n* Hold yourself and others to a high bar when working with production\n* Are able to write high quality code in a programming language (e.g. Ruby, Scala, Go).\n* It’s not expected that any single candidate would have expertise across all of these areas. For instance, we have wonderful team members who are really focused on their customers’ needs and building amazing user experiences, but didn’t come in with as much systems knowledge.\n\n**Projects you could work on:**\nWe have a ton of important work to do, which is why we’re hiring! Our projects are of course changing all the time, but here are a few projects either that we’ve done in the past, so you can get an idea of the types of work we do. Technologies we use include: haproxy, nginx, consul, jenkins, datadog, statsd, kafka, rabbitmq, storm, and others.\n\n* Plan and implement multi-region availability for our distributed job queuing infrastructure! All of our systems can sustain losing machines, and making our systems even more resistant to failure is a big theme for us. If you like thinking about distributed systems, you might find a good home here!\n* Write easy-to-use and reliable client libraries for our Kafka or database systems. You’ll write abstractions and provide reasonable defaults around timeouts and error handling for a complex system.\n* Move us to a region with no downtime. Last year, we needed to migrate AWS regions, and we pulled it off with no negative effects on our users and no downtime.\n* Request tracing! Your mission: make it easier for any Stripe engineer, when debugging, to trace a request from its source down to every service it touched.\n* Build fantastic code review tools! If you love helping developers be more effective at their jobs, we have a ton of interesting projects in this area. Related projects: you could help us have better reproducible builds with Bazel and build great developer environments.\n* We have a bunch of projects around deploying and running code: help us instantly roll back bad deploys so that we can recover quickly, and build infrastructure that lets us scale up our API workers in seconds in response to high API load.\n* We need to scale our databases to handle 10x the load they can today. You could help us shard them more effectively, upgrade our database engines, and build great tools for developers so they can understand their slow queries more easily. A lot of our database projects are open source.\n* \n\n#Location\nNorth America

*Support Products builds the user interfaces and backend infrastructure that lets Stripe users talk to Stripe teams thousands of times every day. \n*\nBusinesses that run on Stripe, from fledgling upstarts to household names, place significant trust in Stripe to accelerate their success. This makes our user-facing teams, and the software layer that connects them with users, mission-critical: users need fast, accurate, contextualized answers to their questions, 24/7, over phone, chat, and email.\n\nThe Support Products engineering team builds and improves Stripe’s support experience including paid support offerings, from end to end: how users get help within our products, how they get in touch with us when they have questions, and how our teams use internal tools to answer those questions. We’re accountable for the quality and reliability of this support stack and we use data and firsthand user research to continuously improve it. We’re a small, distributed team of capable, friendly, user-oriented engineers and we partner closely with Stripe’s world-class design, product, infrastructure, and operational teams. Providing great support to users of all sizes is culturally important to everyone at Stripe.\n\n\n\n# Responsibilities\n **You will:**\n* Build, operate, and improve support products for all of Stripe’s users from one-person startups to Premium Support users and large enterprises.\n* Work side-by-side with user-facing teams to understand their needs, develop short-term and long-term solutions, and deploy those solutions across our global 24/7 support operation.\n* Own problems from end to end, managing complexity and engaging directly with stakeholders to think through everything from business impact, to reliability and operability, to the pixel-perfection of individual support interactions.\n* Uphold Stripe’s high standards for engineering and product quality and mentor newer team members to do the same.\n\n**You might work on:**\n* Building engaging, responsive user interfaces that make it truly enjoyable to get help from Stripe. For example, we used React to build a chat UI from the ground up so that it would feel truly at home in the Stripe Dashboard.\n* Scaling the contact platform that connects Stripe users with the teams that are best equipped to help them. This might involve implementing new API endpoints for use across multiple products, iterating on data pipelines to maximize visibility into our support operations, or adding to our billing pipeline so that we can offer paid support plans in new regions.\n* Improving the internal tools that empower our user-facing teams to build new case-solving workflows, publish dynamic, localized content to our user-facing support site, and answer every support request with the right context for any user.\n \n\n# Requirements\n**You may be fit for this role if you:**\n* Enjoy being a generalist, working on frontend, backend, infrastructure, data pipelines, or billing pipelines as needed to solve problems and delight our users. (You don’t need to be an expert in all of these but it helps to be interested in learning about them.)\n* Contribute high-quality code to create trustworthy and engaging user interfaces and resilient and operable backend systems. We build on top of storage and queueing systems, UI component libraries, and other foundations maintained by Stripe’s infrastructure teams and work mostly with Ruby, JavaScript (React), AWS, Terraform, Puppet, SQL, HTML, and CSS. (None of us are experts in all of these either.)\n* Seek out feedback from your users and empathetically advocate for them throughout the product development process.\n* Take pride in shepherding projects from ideation to completion, where completion often involves partnering with operational teams to carefully roll out changes that affect their workflows.\n* Thrive in a collaborative environment involving different functions, stakeholders, and subject matter experts.\n\n#Location\nNorth America

*Build the core of Stripe products, services and APIs in spectacularly robust fashion.*\n\nPayouts is crucial in helping Stripe to globalize and help build the banking platform which allows users as well as internal Stripe teams to move money.\nAs a platform company powering businesses all over the world, Stripe processes payments, runs marketplaces, detects fraud, helps entrepreneurs start an internet business from anywhere in the world, builds world-class developer-friendly APIs, and more. Stripe’s backend engineers work on the business logic for all of that. As a backend engineer on the Payouts team, you will build and expand APIs and services and work with our partners to launch new markets and capabilities.\n\nThe Payouts team works to ensure money gets to its destinations safely, reliably and in a cost effective manner. As Stripe expands globally, we realize that we haven’t won yet, and know that successfully being able to take pay out to different countries is crucial to our progress in economic globalization. We’re investing in the Payouts team to run the infrastructure that supports a wide variety of bank payouts and payment methods. You’ll help abstract the rails for money and movement while rigorously understanding properties such as speed, cutoff, currency and fees.\n\nWe’re looking for people with strong background or interest in building successful products or systems; you’re comfortable in dealing with lots of moving pieces; you have exquisite attention to detail; and you’re comfortable learning new technologies and systems.\n\n# Responsibilities\n **You will:**\n* Design, build, and maintain APIs, services, and systems across Stripe’s engineering teams\n* Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack\n* Work with engineers across the company to build new features at large-scale\n* Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes \n\n# Requirements\n**You may be fit for this role if you:**\n* Enjoy and have experience building backend infrastructure\n* Think about systems and services and write high quality code. **Backend engineers build the core of Stripe products, services and APIs in spectacularly robust fashion.**\n\nAlternative Payment Methods is the driver behind integrating new payment methods which is a key component to Stripe’s global strategy.\nAs a platform company powering businesses all over the world, Stripe processes payments, runs marketplaces, detects fraud, helps entrepreneurs start an internet business from anywhere in the world, builds world-class developer-friendly APIs, and more. Stripe’s backend engineers work on the business logic for all of that. As a backend engineer on the Alternative Payment Methods (APM) team, you will build and expand APIs and services and work with our partners to launch new markets, payment methods, and capabilities.\n\nThe Alternative Payment Methods team enables customers to buy from Stripe merchants using a variety of payment systems including Alipay, ACH and Klarna. We are taking on that challenge through significant investment in our platform and coordinating efforts with our growing global engineering teams. The APMs team in the US focuses on architecture and platform capabilities, plus extensive collaboration with other product and engineering teams.\n\nWe’re looking for people with strong background or interest in building successful products or systems; you’re comfortable in dealing with lots of moving pieces; you have exquisite attention to detail; and you’re comfortable learning new technologies and systems.\n\n# Responsibilities\n You will:\n* Design, build, and maintain APIs, services, and systems across Stripe’s engineering teams\n* Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack\n* Work with engineers across the company to build new features at large-scale\n* Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes \n\n# Requirements\nYou may be fit for this role if you:\n* Enjoy and have experience building APIs\n* Think about systems and services and write high quality code. We work mostly in Ruby, with some Scala and Go. However, languages can be learned: we care much more about your general engineering skill than knowledge of a particular language or framework.\n* Hold yourself and others to a high bar when working with production systems\n* Take pride in working on projects to successful completion involving a wide variety of technologies and systems.\n* Thrive in a collaborative environment involving different stakeholders and subject matter experts\n* Enjoy working with a diverse group of people with different expertise (for example, ¼ of Stripes work in a country that’s different from the one they grew up in). Almost every role at Stripe collaborates with some engineers, from Sales and Support in sharing feedback from our customers; to Legal and Accounting in supporting our systems for tracking money movement and reporting around the world.\n\nIt’s not expected that any single candidate would have expertise across all of these areas. For instance, we have wonderful team members who are really focused on their customers’ needs and building amazing user experiences, but didn’t work on APIs before joining Stripe.\n\nYou might work on:\n* Building a new API for our users, or iterate on existing APIs\n* Launching a new market or payment method\n* Working with our Analytics and Fraud teams to reduce chargebacks and declines\n* Building new tools for our business teams\n* Building new systems to securely store sensitive data\n\n**What’s it like to work at Stripe?**\nStripe is helping the internet fulfill its potential as a platform for economic progress by building software tools that accelerate global economic access and technological development. Stripe makes it easy to start, run and scale an internet business from anywhere in the world.\n\nStripe is, at its heart, an engineering company. To provide a missing pillar of core internet infrastructure, we hire people with a broad set of technical skills (and from a wide variety of backgrounds) who are ready to take on some of the most challenging problems in the industry – from reliably handling 100M API requests per day, to building adaptive machine learning as a result of years of data science and infrastructure work, and enabling entrepreneurs worldwide to start a global internet business.\n\nWe look at Stripe as a constant work in progress and the same is true of our people; for all of us, we believe the best is yet to come. We’re here to support each other in our curiosity and creativity – which we pursue through thoughtful discussion and knowledge-sharing among a diverse set of peers and colleagues.\n\nWe encourage all engineers to transition teams once every year and a half and also take on short-term projects with other teams across Stripe. This enables engineers to learn how different parts of Stripe work while also establishing stronger ties and cross-pollination between groups.\n\nWe contribute to existing open-source projects and the people working on them, and we release several tools as open-source.\n\nWe want to work in a company of warm, inclusive people who treat their colleagues exceptionally well. The kind of people who are committed to going out of their way to help other Stripes in the short-term and pushing them to improve over the long-term (by helping them to get better at what they do).\n\nWe’re a highly cross-functional organization and view that as part of the fun: we design our space to encourage as much collaboration as possible. We have long tables in the kitchen for a reason (to enable everyone to meet new people and learn from them). We also have a culture of transparency that we carry through to email communication, ensuring that Stripes all around the world have the information they need to make good local decisions.\n\nIn both our products and our people, we aim to reflect, represent and advocate for all of our users, globally. Our users transcend geography, culture and language; what we share, collectively, is a drive to create a fairer, more economically interconnected world.\n\n#Location\nNorth America

Hello there!\n\n\n\nYou should start out by watching this video I made JUST for this job-post:\n\nhttps://www.loom.com/share/670650aba7194718a3e3b4c8bcdb314a\n\n\n\nHere I explain what we are doing in detail :)\n\n\n\n**Here is the text-version**:\n\n\n\nThis is not your typical job-post, because guess what, we’re not a typical company. You see, at Likvido, we’re about to face some VERY interesting challenges, and we need you on our team to absolutely smash those challenges.\n\n\n\nSince we launched Likvido in April 2018, we’ve absolutely killed it. Not only do we now have 500+ customers - among many of the hottest startups and scaleups in Denmark - we also managed to get very serious funding, have very good unit economics and built a really cool technical platform. However, we’re just getting started.\n\n\n\n**So what are we doing?**\n\nWe are solving the biggest reason for companies going bankrupt in Europe. You see, 19 % of all invoices are paid late, and roughly half of all bankruptcies are caused by lack of cash. \n\n\n\nLikvido is defining a new category we’re calling a “customer payment system”. Today you integrate Likvido with your accounting system, and then we automate sending out invoices, send our reminders, start debt collection and post back to the accounting system. Looking ahead, we will add financial products, give the whole organization access to our system and much more. In brief, we help companies get paid - on time - and forecast their cash flow.\n\n# Responsibilities\n The platform is ~12 months old. We have a big monolith ASP.NET MVC application, combined with 3 solid ASP.NET Core microservices. Everything is hosted in Azure and Github, and we use many of the Azure products, including Azure DevOps. Yeah, we’re a startup, but we do have hundreds and hundreds of tests.\n\n\n\nThe platform is built by me, the author (you thought it was an HR person writing all along, didn’t you?). I’ve studied at the Technical University of Denmark, and I have built this kind of stuff before - and trust me - the platform is solid and not burning.\n\n\n\nWe're a remote development team (2 people in Russia, 1 in Ukraine and then a bunch of freelancers). \n\n\n\nThe job:\n\nWe need to be a part of the full-time development team, and develop a lot of features. Some example features:\n\n\n\n- We need to launch internationally\n\n- Split our frontend and backend apartment, so we have a “real API”\n\n- We need to support ie multiple payment methods, data-providers, letter-senders, accounting systems\n\n- We need to professionalize our operations team (ie. full CD/CI, dashboards, application insights, logging)\n\n- Lots and lots of specific features our clients are screaming us for\n\n\n\nWe are in the situation that if we had out full 2019 roadmap ready, we could 10x our size because clients would use our product so much more. We have definetely hit product-market fit and just need great code. \n\n# Requirements\nWe’re a quite realistic bunch at Likvido: you don’t need 8 years of experience in some JavaScript framework that was invented in 2015...\n\n\n\nInstead, we’re looking for someone who:\n\n\n\n- Has 2-4+ years of experience as a developer in .NET technologies\n\n- Experience with building web-based platforms (ie MVC frontend and .NET in back)\n\n- You're a mature developer that tests your own code\n\n- Have a strong sense of scaleable architecture\n\n\n\nSo if you consider yourself a top .NET developer, please apply!

Wonder (askwonder.com) is a fast-growing Internet company committed to making online research more accessible to those who need it. We want to employ confident, seasoned researchers who can efficiently track down the highest quality resources across the Web and explain the results to our users in a personable, human way.\n\nThe best researchers will have a wide breadth of knowledge and specific expertise in several subjects, with an equal penchant for diving into uncharted territory and swiftly becoming an authority. Because many of our users depend on hard data to make decisions, quantitative proficiency is preferred. You not only know how to extract and validate hard stats, but can calculate some of your own on the fly if need be. Previous experience working in a research-intensive role is a definite plus, though not required. Most of all, our researchers are all problem solvers with a sense of imagination that helps them dig deep and find meaningful intelligence. \n\nHere are some example questions our clients ask us:\n+ ”Who is currently deeply pursuing the consumer internet of things and who is primed to lead Industrial Revolution 4.0?”\n+ “What impact will self-driving car technology have on global economies?"\n+ “How fragmented (or consolidated) are companies in the used OEM auto parts industry?”\n+ “What did the French colonial troops do when they were sent to China during the Boxer Rebellion - were they engaged in combat? Did they serve as a peacekeeping force?“\n\nFor each search you claim, you'll be tasked with finding 5+ links to high-quality sources, and writing a rich summary directly answering the user’s query while adding any insights you gleaned along the way. \n\nWe pay up to $24 for each completed research task, rate variable depending upon the difficulty of the question. \n\n### PERKS\n+ Global community of researchers\n+ Work from anywhere\n+ No fixed hours\n+ Be as active as you’d like\n\n### QUALIFICATIONS\n+ A discerning eye for quality content \n+ Strong general knowledge paired with several areas of expertise \n+ Command of the English language and strong/grammatical writing a must\n+ Ability to create lean, high-level, often quantitative summaries directly answering users’ questions\n+ Critical analysis, logical reasoning skills \n+ Keen attention to details\n+ Understanding of basic economics (knowledge of markets a huge plus) \n+ Bonus: those with a narrow, deep understanding of a STEM field/prior study in a technical subject are also encouraged to apply\n\nExtra tags: researcher, analyst, market research, virtual assistant, business, finance, analytics, data mining, research, marketing, consulting

\nAre you ready to dive into a new challenge with a team of committed, motivated, talented individuals seeking to build the biggest global point-of-sale financing solution?\n\nViaBill was founded in 2009 with the goal of disrupting the traditional e-commerce payment methods of Europe. We believe that online merchants should have an easy-to-implement solution that offers customers an alternative to instant payment, hence giving customers a chance to evaluate the purchase before actual payment. The last 4 years, ViaBill has grown from our first office in an art gallery to multiple offices throughout the world and from a handful of customers to handling transactions worth more than $150M per year. \n\nAt ViaBill, we know that becoming the best at something is not easy. It takes skill, hard work, and an unmatched level of ambition. We believe in these ideals and offer a job with great potential for career development, freedom to unfold skills and competencies, and an environment that values different perspectives. Continuous improvement, learning, and growth are encouraged and even rewarded. From engineers to sales, we’re on the hunt for exceptional talent to help us scale our business and get ViaBill into the hands of millions of people.\n\nThe developer team consists of highly-motivated individuals who work remotely. We collaborate much like open source projects with core maintainers for our services. Each developer has a high level of freedom working in a flat hierarchy with a streamlined process where the domain experts are easily available.\n\nWe are constantly developing and striving to not only scale, but to improve our software solutions through automating processes and removing inefficiencies wherever possible. This allows us to experiment and adopt new trends/frameworks quickly. This also makes it very easy for a developer to see their effect on business\n\nJob description\n\nAs we take our business to the next level, ViaBill is seeking motivated frontend developers located within +/- 2-3 hours of CEST time zone to scale our tech, processes, and client applications. \n\nYour work will consist of:\n\n\n* Being part of a highly skilled engineering team\n\n* Building quality products in close collaboration with the business\n\n* Making an impact on ViaBill customers with your code\n\n* Influencing the direction of the product and technical solutions\n\n* Working remotely - this is a fully remote position\n\n* Working both independently and as part of a team of talented, friendly colleagues from around the world\n\n\n\n\nYour background includes:\n\n\n* Experience developing in: JavaScript, Typescript, Angular, ngrx\n\n* ES5/6/2016/next proficiency, Unit testing (Jest, Mocha, Jasmine) proficiency\n\n* GitLab, JIRA or similar solutions\n\n* Experience with highly automated systems\n\n* Experience with AWS and/or developing in Node.js would be considered an asset\n\n* Contributing beautiful, clean code\n\n* B.Sc/M.Sc equivalent experience in computer science or a related field\n\n\n\n\n You are: \n\n\n* Motivated in coding fast and modern-looking user interfaces, striving for perfection\n\n* Highly proficient in English, as this is the primary language of communication in the company\n\n* Ultra-focused on the end user to provide the best possible experience\n\n* Motivated in a fast-paced, changing environment\n\n* Able to keep calm, focused, and prioritize under pressure\n\n* Independent and take initiative\n\n\n

This job post is closed and the position is probably filled. Please do not apply.
\n[Note: we are open to remote work but only if you can spend a minimum of one day per week in our Belfast office.]\n\nTHE ROLE\nYou’ll be the person responsible for building the front-ends to Opal, a cloud platform to create and manage Structured Documents: documents represented as data, created and managed programatically.\n\nYou'll be using JavaScript, React, HTML, and CSS to make the user experience sing. We don’t want your typical ugly enterprise app: it has to be elegant, delightful to use, and enticing during a demo.\n\nAs well as a magnificent web front-end, you’ll be working with Microsoft’s Office 365 JS API & Office Fabric to build document editing services right into the Word app.\n\nOur clients will generally be financial firms in the world’s leading financial centers, primarily New York City and London. You may need to travel occasionally, but not often.\n\nWe don’t care about prior experience in our industry (fintech); frankly we’d love it if you came from a design agency or other non-enterprise background. We want someone to build a wonderful user experience, and you can learn about the business domain while doing so.\n\nYOUR RESPONSIBILITIES\nYou’ll be doing some or all of the following:\n\n\n* working with our product manager to refine the UI/UX requirements\n\n* coding the front-end for the web and Office apps\n\n* writing some basic test packs. We won’t go overboard but we aren’t flying by the seat of our pants, either\n\n* in partnership with the CTO, the technical lead, and the rest of your team, defining and implementing standards for how we work: our agile methodology, coding standards, development tools, deployment practices, and more. This is a green field development and we want to use tomorrow’s best practices today.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWHO WE WANT \nWe are looking for a smart person with initiative and good judgment, who works well with others, and who will always look to balance the urgent needs of clients with the long-term technical architecture for our product.\n\nYou need to have:\n\n\n* excellent verbal and written communication skills\n\n* an eye for good design. You won’t be getting detailed wireframes, so your role will be at least partly that of a designer\n\n* a minimum of three years’ experience using client-side web technologies with a solid knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3, preferably gained from working at a design agency or product company\n\n* experience with ReactJS and knowledge of Node JS and webpack, as well as a unit testing framework such as Jest\n\n* prior experience working in agile \n\n* a pragmatic, get-it-done approach to things developers often don’t like e.g. writing tests, updating documentation, and talking to clients\n\n* a desire to learn new things. For example, we have a Ruby on Rails API, so there is an opportunity for someone who has good front end skills to become a full stack developer.\n\n\n\n\nA degree in Comp Sci or equivalent is great, but it’s not essential. It’s most important that you have good coding & design skills.\n\nAny of these things will help you stand out:\n\n\n* opinions – preferably grounded in knowledge and experience \n\n* experience on a team that has implemented a good continuous integration strategy (or if not, an awareness of the benefits of these strategies so you can champion them within the role)\n\n* Office 365 JS API experience would be wonderful (we know it’s a bit niche)\n\n* experience with Bootstrap or similar – we’ll be using Office Fabric, a similar library from Microsoft\n\n* working with RESTful API back-end components\n\n* development of a SaaS web product \n\n* experience working within a distributed development model i.e. with people in other locations and time zones. We’ll mostly be Belfast-based, but we may use specialists in other places such as sales engineers in London and New York. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nWHAT WE OFFER\n\nSalary is dependent on your experience and skillset. As well as the basics - competitive pay and benefits – we offer work on a greenfield product, in a small startup-like team. We’ll invest so you have good tools to work with and we’ll keep your skills up-to-date with a budget for technical books, training, and the like.

\nCore Data has an opening for three (3) experienced senior-level C++ programmers to add to our existing team.  This work-from-home contract style position offers a full time opportunity to each developer selected for the position.\n\nThis advertisement is intended for senior-level applicants with demonstrable experience in a professional work environment.  While financial experience is not required, applicants with experience in financial-related software development or in quantitative development will receive priority over developers that do not have this type of previous experience.  Applicants will be expected to have the requisite knowledge and experience needed to create professional-quality, bug-free production quality applications.  The range of projects is split between two separate product lines currently maintained by the company.  The first collection of projects relates to a sports wagering software that produces statistics, betting odds, and supporting structures.  The second and newest collection of projects relates to the banking and finance realms.  Examples include integration with exchanges, development of buy/sell algorithms, and creation of various web services to facilitate online banking.  Many of the projects we take on are of advanced level and require analysis and planning on an individual basis in addition to code writing.\n\nFor this position, emphasis is placed on the applicant's ability to produce solutions with minimal outside help.  As this is a senior-level position, all applicants are expected to be able to write the required applications from start to finish, including design of any database queries or tables.  Design specifications will be provided for each project prior to commencement.  While actual programming ability is one of the key requirements of this position, applicants for this senior-level posting are expected to show initiative and take a practical approach towards solving real-world problems.\n\nThe projects are challenging and quite exciting, and even the most experienced of candidates are certain to learn new skills and techniques while working with our company.\n\n\nSkills & requirements\n\n\n* Advanced C++ background\n\n* Past experience working in a senior-level posting\n\n* Ability to write fully-debugged, real-world applications from start to finish with minimal supervisory intervention\n\n* Knowledge of web services, such as REST, JSON APIs\n\n* Working knowledge of how web documents are structured (HTML and XML)\n\n* Strong investigative skills, such as ability to "figure out" an acceptable algorithm to buy/sell commodities;\n\n* Diverse background in customer-facing as well as B2B software;\n\n* Ability to design tables, indexes, and SQL queries to support the data layer of applications.  Specific experience with MySQL preferred.\n\n* Optional:  Working knowledge of the Qt5 C++ framework\n\n\n

\nIBS has built and maintains an Accounting Management module as an integrated part of our Suite of Applications for golf and country clubs. This module allows clubs to manage their Payables, Banking, and General Ledger.\n\nAs part of this module, we have dozens of standard reports which our customers can use. However, in our experience, club reporting needs vary widely, leading to the business need for a custom financial report designer which would allow for customers to create their own financial statements and other reports.\n\nThe end product is a financial report designer with an Excel-like interface which allows club users to define for a given report what information will be shown, cell by cell. It will also have a formula wizard to help users with custom formulas to pull in the desired data. Data to be displayed on the reports is stored in a Microsoft SQL Server database.\n\nExample financial reports include Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Profit and Loss, Statement of Cash Flows, etc. The reports will pull account dollar figures, or budget figures.

\nYou’ve been developing Azure-based applications using C# and love elegant design. The problem-solving aspect of software development excites you every day. You’ve been wanting to join a FinTech startup, but have been put off by the restrictions of location and working practices. You long to apply your hard-won skills to one of the most cutting edge and fast-growing areas of tech in the UK. You just haven’t found the right company - yet.\n\nYou have been developing cloud-based applications for long enough that you no longer think in terms of racks and conserving resources. You are comfortable with the complete cloud-based ADLC and have experience in utilising many of Azure’s PaaS and IaaS features.\n\nYou’ve worked on complex, unfamiliar domains in cross-functional teams. You are comfortable communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.\n\nWHY WORK WITH US?\n\nYou’ll be joining a hand-picked team, all brilliant in their respective fields.\n\nYou’ll be stretched and tested within a supportive team environment.\n\nYou can create a genuine work/life balance. You will be required to get together regularly with other team members, but you won’t have a daily commute. We’re a modern company with modern working practices. You just need to take pride in and ownership of your work and deliver what's needed.\n\nFinTech is booming and we will be at the forefront.\n\nWHAT YOU'LL DO\n\nYou’ll be working in a small team with our CTO building the back-end of our FinTech services. This will be cloud-based and capable of supporting thousands of customers and millions of transactions. To do this, you’ll have access to the latest software and hardware.\n\nYou’ll have mutual responsibility for all aspects of the development lifecycle from spec through to build, test and deploy. You’ll meet regularly with both technical and non-technical co-workers, but you’ll mostly get to choose from where you work.\n\nThe code you produce will be fast, efficient and robust and readable.

\nIntegration Engineer\nCome help us lead the infrastructure-as-code revolution\nNSONE is based in New York City with offices in San Francisco and Singapore. Were a world class team of internet infrastructure experts, working on deep solutions to real world traffic management problems, and operating a large global delivery infrastructure powered by bleeding edge technology.\nTight-knit, customer focused, driven by innovation\nNSONE is not a sprawling, hierarchy addled behemoth. We are lean and fast, and theres a tight loop among our entire team. Were all about automation, intelligent distributed systems, and quick iteration.\nThe role\nWere looking to add a new member to our small but fast growing engineering team: an Integration Engineer who can draw on their passion for infrastructure-as-code along with their broad community knowledge and connections to craft all manner of integrations for our cutting edge DNS platform. This dynamic position will involve writing and maintaining code in various languages - much of it open source - centered around getting data into and out of our platform. Youll work on in-house repos as well as contribute to various well known community infrastructure projects. Youll also work in our REST API and other internal systems to create and maintain integrations with other SaaS platforms.\nNo matter which language, you will be expected to write clean, maintainable, and fully tested code along with top notch documentation. You should be familiar with the package distribution systems of various programming languages such as pip, gem, npm, etc and ideally have some experience contributing to them.  \nYou should have good general knowledge of the modern internet infrastructure landscape, especially well known and up-and-coming infrastructure-as-code projects and various IaaS and SaaS providers in the space.\nYoull need to be able to quickly digest and understand diverse technical documentation and APIs of varying quality. Communication skills are equally important as youll be expected to maintain relationships with the project leaders, providers and services that youll be integrating with. Youll take ownership of all the integrations and work autonomously towards aggressive development goals.\nSome stuff youll work on:\n* REST API clients (to our service), in various languages (open source)\n* Integrations with other SaaS platforms related to both ingesting data into our platform as well as pushing notifications externally. Examples include Pingdom, New Relic, Datadog, Catchpoint, Pagerduty\n* Create and maintain NSONE DNS modules for various configuration management systems such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet\n* Create and maintain NSONE DNS modules in infrastructure projects such as Terraform, libcloud, fog.io, Netflix denominator\n* Maintain developer relationships with all of these providers and projects\n\n\nWorking @ NSONE\nWere a small, well funded startup with a casual work environment and strong work ethic.
