Action Verb | Devops/sysadmin Engineer (linux, AWS, Chef, ELK, & More) for Holacracy-powered 10-person All-remote Engineer-founded Iaas Company
Action Verb
devops3>admin3>engineer3>linux3> | devops3>admin3>engineer3>linux3> | | 16d
Hi! We’re Action Verb.
We build two Infrastructure-as-a-Service Platforms that Engineering and Marketing professionals use to power their products and services.
Our products include BrickFTP, a hosted file sharing service for business, and Vae Platform, a unique web hosting platform with an integrated CMS system.
Our company consists of 10 full time USA-based Engineers, as well as sales and support outposts in Germany, and Latin America. We’re looking to grow our family by adding a new DevOps/SysAdmin Engineer to our team.
Our infrastructure platforms are used by over 2,000 enterprises and SMBs, including Mozilla, Canonical, UPS, DirecTV, GoPro, Marriott, and more.
Here are some statistics about our network:
- ~100 servers, mostly hosted on AWS
- 8 AWS regions, as well as multiple colocated hosting providers
- Hundreds of public IP addresses
- 300+ HTTPS requests per second
- 25+ FTP/SFTP/FTPS logins per second
- 100+ file transfers per second
- 4,000 log entries per second
- 150,000+ metrics
- 99.9% uptime record
We’ve been able to achieve the rare combination of high double-digit annual growth and industry leading profitability.
We do it by aggressively recruiting the absolute best and brightest engineers and structuring our company in a way that makes them want to work here forever.
It’s easy to say, but exceptionally hard to execute. Here’s how we do it.
We are one of the early adopters of Holacracy, a new style of running an organization in a self-organizing manner that draws inspiration from agile software development and lean manufacturing processes.
Rather than hiring people for exactly one job description, we instead look to find well rounded team members with skills in software engineering, design, marketing, sales, and our other needs who are interested in filling multiple roles within the organization.
As a self-organizing team, our people have multiple roles and our role descriptions are regularly updated via small iterations. As their interests change and our needs change, the roles people fill change dynamically over time.
'Most startups believe in iteration of their products. Now they need to apply the same thinking to their organizations.' – Adam Pisoni, Yammer co-founder & CTO
Holacracy is not unstructured: you’ll have a clear understanding of your current roles and responsibilities, as well as a set of rules and processes for changing those roles and responsibilities in real time.
Even though Holacracy is a lot to learn, we have a great onboarding process and the rest of our team will guide you through your first few months. You’ll also have the opportunity to attend a weeklong official Holacracy training event at our expense.
We also practice Open Book Management, meaning that we share the exact details of our Balance Sheet and P&L Statement with our entire team in real-time, ensuring that our staff has the data they need to treat the business as if it were their own.
Our team members work from home and choose their own hours, allowing them to make time for family, recreation, vacations, or anything that is important to them.
Every team member gets 10 company-wide holidays per year as well as 20 paid time off days intended to be used for vacations. Go have fun. Don’t work all the time.
Our team members also work hard, are constantly learning, and accomplish a ton for the company in the time that they are working.
Our team spends at least 12 days together face-to-face per year at four quarterly meetings that are hosted all over the country. We try to do these meetings in cities that are fun to visit. In the last few years, we’ve been to Austin, Orlando, Minneapolis, San Diego, Las Vegas, New York City, and Detroit.
As you might expect from a company that is so open, we also post our salary information right here in the job post. We will pay you $100,000 in your first year, plus a great benefits package, and a $2,500 signing bonus to purchase a new computer.
After your first year with Action Verb, we will update your salary based on the value that you have been able to demonstrate for the company. We continue to update salary levels every year. It is possible to reach a pay level of double the starting salary if you come in and absolutely crush it.
We fully pay for your health insurance (exact plan details depend on your state of residence), and we’ll pick up the tab for 50% of your spouse or family if they wish to also join the healthcare plan. We want your family to be healthy.
We recognize that other companies may offer higher initial salary offers or signing bonuses, but at Action Verb, we know that for our ideal candidate, the exact level of pay is just one criteria by which they choose where to work. Our goal is to offer the greatest work environment possible and pay people well enough to make it possible for them to join the team. Come learn our way of working, take on as many roles as you can, and establish yourself as a valuable asset to us. Then after your first year, we’ll re-evaluate your salary and make sure it’s more than fair, given the value you’ve been able to generate for the company.
We are looking for candidates who bring the following skills to the table:
- Significant experience working with GNU/Linux servers, including a complete understanding of the command line, /proc, services, etc.
- Comprehensive understanding of networking concepts, including layers, firewalls, DNS, VPN, etc.
- Proficiency with configuration management tools, such as Chef or Puppet, and fluency with at least one major scripting language.
- Experience building distributed, failure-resistant architecture, including disaster recovery, backups, failover, etc.
- Experience with the advanced featured of public cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure (we use AWS).
- Familarity with large scale monitoring and analysis systems, such as ELK or Splunk (we use ELK).
- Complete understanding of how to build secure infrastructure and an awareness of common server security vulnerabilities.
- Ability to manage a large database at scale (we use MySQL).
- History developing and supporting actual infrastructure that has seen production usage at equal to or greater than our scale. (We talk about our size earlier in the post.)
Most of our best applicants have Computer Science (or similar) degrees from a well-regarded university. Our best applicants also tend to have at least 3-5 years experience in a position with direct responsibility for supporting large production deployments.
We believe that everyone in the company should have programming skills. Our customers are primarily engineers, and in order to relate to them and support our products at the highest possible level, we should all be engineers too. As a Sysadmin/DevOps engineer, you will spend a lot of time writing code here.
We believe that the best Engineers tend to be polyglots with a wide variety of programming language experience. We don’t care whether you specifically know Puppet or Chef, but we look for engineers who are fluent in several programming languages. We want our staff to be adaptable and ready to evolve to what’s next.
We believe that allowing and supporting 100% remote work gives us access to great people we wouldn’t otherwise be able to hire. We tend to hire folks who are later in their careers, which means they usually have their family established somewhere. By offering remote work, we can hire the best people, no matter where they’re located.
We believe that the best way we can acquire top talent is by being an amazing place to work. Work from home, travel with the team, and surround yourself with top tier people at Action Verb. Read about everything we’ve done to make working at Action Verb great.
We believe that building great infrastructure and platform products requires a great internal infrastructure. We have over 150,000 metrics, real-time service monitoring, fully searchable logs, and full configuration management via Chef. We built our own application deployment system.
We believe in using the right tool for the job. Our core DevOps stack includes AWS, Chef, ELK, Grafana, Statsd, Asterisk, Capistrano, MySQL, Redis, Memcached, Zeromq, Jenkins, Github, Honeybadger, and many other exciting open source systems. We don’t want to get stuck in the trap of using a language or a tool just because “that’s how it’s done around here.”
We believe that our DevOps Engineers are the first line of defense when something bad happens. You will be on call 24/7 (except for your 20 days per year of vacation) in case there are performance problems in production. Fortunately, afterhours callouts are rare for us.
We believe in building products that we actually use ourselves. We are our own toughest critics and we put all of our products through their paces every day.
Tell us about what you believe. We only read cover letters in our first screening round, so make sure yours counts. In your cover letter, we’d like you to address the following topics:
- Why does this opportunity specifically appeal to you?
- How well do you align with Our Core Beliefs? Is there anything you would add or change?
- Why would working remotely for Action Verb change your life for the better?
- Are you familiar with Holacracy? Any questions or concerns?
- What’s lacking in your current work arrangement that we could improve?
- What are your philosophies on devops and operations?
- What does building a great network and server infrastructure look like?
- How does “the Cloud” fall short and what typically needs to be improved?

We Also Walk Dogs | AWS Devops Engineer
We Also Walk Dogs
devops3>engineer3> | devops3>engineer3> | | 23d
We Also Walk Dogs needs you to help our clients win fights to make the world a better place.
ActionKit (actionkit.com), is used by dozens of major progressive groups and not-for-profits to activate and organize tens of millions of online supporters. Our clients -- the ACLU, MoveOn.org and others -- use ActionKit to protect immigrant rights, fight climate change and more.
ActionKit is built by We Also Walk Dogs. Named after a Robert Heinlein story about a company that specialized in solving impossible problems, We Also Walk Dogs has spent over a decade serving online progressive organizations and charities. We're a small, friendly, and clever company. And we all work remotely.
Our infrastructure is AWS-based and we need a DevOps smartie to help manage and improve the infrastructure that powers our product. If you'd like to work at the intersection of cool cloud tech and making a better world, read on.
Is this the job for you?
- Do you keep production systems running? According to our external monitoring, we've kept 99.98% uptime this past year, and gone three months without downtime, while very actively working on the product. We need someone with the expertise and discipline to help us keep that going.
- Do you think in the cloud? We're serving millions of end-users from AWS. But we know that intelligently deploying new tools and cloud capabilities can help us do things we could never do with just a rack of servers, and we need a DevOps engineer who can take us there.
- Can you can wear a lot of hats? We're a small company and not much for bureaucratic divisions. The boss codes; the project manager gives sales demos; most everyone, including you, does a shift of at least a few hours each week answering our clients' support tickets.
If this sounds like you, please apply!
Must haves:
- You need to care about maintaining a high-quality deployment. We've kept our uptime record with solid automation and monitoring, jumping on oddities before they become problems, and digging into root causes when things go wrong. We need you to be able to continue that tradition.
- You need vision as well as execution. We need you to not only keep things running smoothly, but also help lead us where we need to go next. You need expertise in modern tools and AWS capabilities, and a strategic sense of how we can use them for efficiency, manageability, performance, and reliability.
- You need to be in touch with others' needs. We're a small, tight-knit crew where everyone pitches in. Empathy with clients and end-users is also core to our business. Everyone on the team works directly with clients.
Nice to haves:
- Experience working with all-remote teams.
- Experience with Linux, Django, MySQL, and Ansible.
- Experience with AWS features and patterns like VPCs, ELBs, SQS, auto-scaling groups, multi-zone deployments, and so on.
- That said, experience with our stack is maybe the least important factor here; Even if you've used Rails instead of Django, Postgres instead of MySQL, or Azure instead of AWS, we want to hear from you.
Why work for us?
- Competitive salary. We are a self-funded, for-profit company.
- Remote work. Hours and location are flexible as long as you get the work done. In this day and age you shouldn't have to relocate to San Francisco for awesome work.
- Four weeks paid time off. We encourage you to take vacation; we are not the sort of workplace that pressures anyone into 60-hour weeks.
- A free, great health insurance policy and 401(k)
- Work with an awesome team for awesome causes.
To apply: Send a resume to jobs@wawd.com and let us know why you'd be great for the job! |

Heap | Infrastructure Devops Engineer
Heap
devops3>engineer3> | devops3>engineer3> | | 2mo
Our revenue has increased more than 5x in the last year, and we’re scaling Heap to meet the demand. Our backend supports an expressive set of queries that need to come back with sub-second latencies and reflect up-to-the-minute data. To make this possible, we’re working on a new distributed infrastructure.
We’re looking to bring on our first Infrastructure Engineer to lead the DevOps side of this challenge. Help us de-risk our stack, add more 9s to our availability, and incorporate open source tooling.
You’ll own the design and development of our DevOps toolchain.` You’ll build a deploy pipeline and manage configurations. You’ll set up performance metrics and act on them to scale a complex distributed system.
We’re looking for stronger software engineering skills than a typical DevOps role requires. You’ll need to be able to understand our codebase and debug issues as they come up. Some example projects:
- Select a service discovery tool and incorporate it into a codebase that assumes static locations for services.
- Set up centralized logging and tools like Kibana for making use of the data.
- Standardize our VPC configuration, which has a number of bad warts.
- Set up Terraform or CloudFormation and use it to manage the complicated aspects of our AWS configuration.
- Determine how we’ll monitor, backup, and otherwise operate our ZooKeeper cluster.
- Much, much more.
We’d like to get to know you if:
- You communicate with clarity and precision. We care about this almost as much as your technical ability.
- You’re self-directed with a strong sense for relative priority. There is low-hanging fruit everywhere. We need someone who has a good sense for which projects will have the most impact.
- You have experience with AWS, especially EC2, VPC, and ELB.
- (Bonus) You have experience with our stack. Heap runs on Kafka, ZooKeeper, PostgreSQL, Redis, and Node.js.
Heap has raised $13M in funding from NEA, Y Combinator, Menlo Ventures, SVAngel, Sam Altman, Garry Tan, Alexis Ohanian, Harj Taggar, Ram Shriram, and others.
Our office is in San Francisco, but we have engineers around the world and are absolutely open to more remote engineers. We'd love to hear from you!

Zapier | Infrastructure Engineer
Zapier
devops3>engineer3> | devops3>engineer3> | | 7mo
About You
- You are a hybrid software engineer. You can cross systems, DevOps, and application software boundaries. You have a history of shipping high-quality production code in Python. You are skilled working directly on the command line. You embrace automation and take pride in building internal tools to help your team be more efficient. You are not afraid to jump into application code to ship a new feature or infrastructure code to help scale a system.
- You solve challenges involving scaling, reliability, high availability, data pipelines, micro-services, and more in your day-to-day work. You are comfortable building and scaling applications on one or more technologies that make up our AWS stack, including Python, Django, RabbitMQ, Zookeeper, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, Redis, Memcache, Postgres, MySQL, Elasticsearch, Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible and more.
- You have experience working with databases. You are comfortable modeling database schemas and writing queries across a variety of data sources. You are able to work with data scientists to help understand what's happening in a production system and how to use it intelligently.
- You have worked with teams before scaling large projects. You understand that automation plays a critical role in scaling. You have designed and implemented systems in a distributed manner and are comfortable scaling these systems across hundreds (and even thousands) of servers. You have no problem keeping systems like these running even while you sleep…because you've automated it.
- You love doing things efficiently. At Zapier, the work you do will have a disproportionate impact on the business. We believe in systems and processes that let us scale our impact to be larger than ourselves.
- You love learning. Engineering is an ever-evolving world. You enjoy playing with new tech and exploring areas that you might not have experience with yet.
- You love to set your own direction. At Zapier, we have one team meeting each week and one-on-one meetings every month. Between those we chat in Slack and then go make things happen.
- You are friendly and patient, welcoming, considerate, and respectful.
Things You Might Do
Zapier is a startup, so you'll likely get an opportunity to be involved in a little bit of everything. That said, here are some things you'll get to lead:
- Solve and implement scalability improvements to keep tasks running efficiently for millions of users
- Implement systems to improve developer efficiency
- Automate disaster recovery efforts, including introducing random "chaos" into the system to test and improve overall resiliency to failures
- Build tooling to increase visibility into our running production systems, measure performance continuously, and act upon changes
- Give back to the community via open source and blog posts
- Experiment: this is a startup so everything can change as we experiment with doing more custom partnership work
About Zapier
For the past five years, Zapier has been helping people across the world automate the boring and tedious parts of their job. We do that by helping everyone connect the web applications they already use.
We believe that there are jobs that a computer is best at doing and that there are jobs that a human is best at doing. We want to empower businesses everywhere to create processes and systems that let computers do what they are best at doing and let humans do what they are best at doing.
We believe that with the right tools, you can have 10X the impact with less work.
We believe in small teams. Small teams are fast and nimble. Small teams mean less bureaucracy and less management and more getting things done.
We believe that customer service is what makes great products. Everyone does support at Zapier because when everyone does support, everyone puts the customer at the center of their role.
We believe in simplicity in code.
The Whole Package
Location: Anywhere you want.
If you want to work remote, that's cool. If you want to work near others, that's cool too. The current Infrastructure team is in Illinois, Missouri, California, and India.
Compensation:
- Based on experience
- Great healthcare + dental + vision coverage
- 401k retirement plan with 4% company match
- Profit sharing
- 2-3 annual company retreats to awesome places
- 14 weeks paid leave for new parents
- Pick your own equipment. We'll set you up with whatever laptop + monitor combo you want plus any software you need.
- Unlimited vacation policy (plus we insist you take at least 2 weeks off each year - this isn't a vague policy where unlimited vacation means no vacation).
Work with awesome companies around the world. We partner with the best software companies in the world and you'll constantly get to interact with people from these great companies.
Set your own destiny.

Security and DevOps Ninja in Training If you need to be making an impact instead of just keeping the lights on, if you thrive on being constantly challenged, and if you soak up tech knowledge and certifications like a sponge, then read on… At Cloud Quarterback we provide devops and security services and the security part of the business is expanding. As part of the company growth, we need someone who in the next year can do this:
- Quickly learn and adapt to client systems and processes
- Provide backend / 2nd level application and devops support to clients across the country
- Write slick back end and automation code
- Make servers and applications dance using configuration management and automation tools
- Provide a friendly, outstanding client experience
- Interface directly with clients in a co-operative and constructive way
- Solve problems every day
- Get involved in implementing security controls
- Get involved in writing technical and security policy documents
- Contribute ideas and feedback on new products and services
- Be certified to at least one industry security certification
- Implement technical solutions
While you could be anyone, we realistically need someone with a systems or programming / devops background who has a keen interest in all things relating to security and privacy. You’ll have to be able to do a few of those things day one, but not all of them. As an example this might be you:
- Bachelor's degree
- Proven success in a client facing role such as sales, support, or customer service experience
- Previously described as something similar to a “Tech Swiss Army Knife” by awestruck co-workers or friends
- Excellent Google-Fu
- Passion for security
- You could be a bit of an introvert but still like to be sociable, you're definitely not a misanthrope, and you're positive and friendly by default.
- You have the ability to work on projects with others and complete tasks solo when required
- You like learning and getting things done way more than you like reading Reddit or watching cats dance
- Highly flexible and adaptable
- Comfortable with thinking laterally and prefer to either jump right in or read the barest amount of documentation to get started.
- Working in consulting means chaos, you can adapt, respond, and negotiate with everyone - clients and coworkers alike - with a clear head
- You probably know at least one programming or scripting language really well (eg. Powershell / Ruby / Python)
- You wonder why most programmers can’t understand systems and why so many sysadmins can’t code
- You’re operating system agnostic
We’re 100% remote workers and catch up in person twice a year (once at BlackHat), and encourage access to a local co-working environment in order to maximize your success. We also offer health insurance and retirement savings You can be anywhere as long as you’re in the USA, although it would be preferable if you were on the West Coast or able to work a similar timezone to PST. |

Compose | Support Engineer
Compose
devops3>engineer3> | devops3>engineer3> | | 10mo
Our customer base is growing quickly, and we want your combination of tech and people skills to help our customers solve problems and get the most out of their databases at Compose. We operate a fleet of various databases, so there’s something for everyone: MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, Elasticsearch, RethinkDB, and likely many more!
If you are a developer, DevOps/SRE magician, or database junkie and know how to help developers with technical questions, we want to talk to you. You will be most effective if you have an inquisitive nature, love to learn, and can read and tweak source code written in a variety of languages. We’re not just looking to fight fires, we’re looking to prevent them. We pride ourselves in providing top-notch support and guidance, so being able to communicate effectively with empathy and compassion is a must.
This is the perfect position for a smart hacker who wants to gain experience within a great team focused on building a powerful and customer-focused database-as-a-service product. Spending time with our customers and product will let you improve your tech chops vastly, and should be solid preparation for a high-end distributed systems engineering position (we need those too, so if you start on support and do a great job, there is a huge amount of room for growth).
We're a distributed team and we work across many different time zones. If you're a night owl, an early riser, or somewhere in between, we're happy to accommodate untraditional work schedules -- our worldwide customers often need help at odd hours!
Technical bits we hope you're good at (or can become good at):
- Databases: We provide production-grade databases to our customers. Hopefully you've navigated a few, even if it was Visual FoxPro.
- Linux: You'll want to know vmstat from sysstat and iftop from iotop. You should be comfortable with a text editor (vi, emacs, nano, makes no difference) and be able to grep | sed | awk your way through a mess of log files.
- A language: They're not just for humans anymore! Ruby, Go, Python, JavaScript, Haskell... chicken!? Whatever works. We interface with developers every day, and the support team itself is a team of devops, system engineer, and developers. You'll be happiest if you can poke through someone else's code, and maybe hack out a little bit of your own.
- Communication: You should like to communicate with people. Human-focused communication of technical things - it's a delicate balance!
- Creative Problem-Solving: You'll face a wide range of weird, wild problems.
We're excited to see what sort of character will wind up in this role... a few helpful traits include:
- Patience: You'll deal with many crisis-like situations. Being able to stay cool under fire is essential.
- Comfortability Working with a Remote Team: At Compose, everyone is remote from someone. Engineers, designers, support, developers... the vast majority of us work from home. You'll be engaging with your entire team in Slack, email, ScreenHero, BlueJeans, and whatever else works (including correspondence chess on postcards).
- Self Starter: We're an organization filled with people who self-manage. You get the respect and responsibility to operate with minimal supervision and management.
- Accepting: Freedom to fail! Things won't always work out how you plan them to. This is a fun role and should feel that way.

- You Love Work, Growth and Learning: You dream of working in a culture that values hard work, continued learning and innovation with a commitment to building amazing products for clients and their end users. Can you help us automate our infrastructure and help us build our first SaaS product? We like to build stuff… sometimes complicated stuff… for Non Profits, Charities and Art Galleries. We’re on the lookout for a confident and ambitious Devops / Sysadmin to join our fast growing startup to help us automate our development processes and build our first SaaS product. We do things a little differently, basing all our solutions on open source products offer a great work-life balance with flexible working hours and a real team mentality. Our work covers web design, app development and branding for Charities and non-profit organisations across the country. Our clients include Charities such as Wikimedia and Farm Africa, art galleries such as the Photographers Gallery and Craft Central but also companies, trade associations and government bodies. We mainly work on the Drupal platform, but someone with a wide range of interests would be favourable. We are looking for someone to join the team with the vision to help us automate our infrastructure so that everything runs like clockwork. That will involve: - Automating tasks such as security and deployment releases, site updates and server maintenance using tools such as Jenkins, Chef, Puppet, Ansible etc - Be the key architect in helping us to develop a robust SaaS platform for a really significant Drupal project for the not for profit sector that we are currently working on. - Integrating with Hipchat and developing an inhouse Hubot (or similar). - Develop command line tools to simplify developer tasks such as cloning client sites to local environments. - There will also be the opportunity to get involved with data migration, data integration, database tuning and management and the ideal candidate would have existing MySQL (or similar) experience. If you live and breath Linux and love reconfiguring Web servers for the LEMP/LAMP stack until they are as secure as a rock but would also enjoy the challenge of developing a new SaaS platform on AWS then we would love to hear from you. To apply please send your CV through to us with a short covering letter explaining what got you interested and why you think you will fit in. |

About Us
We are an online education startup that works with universities and institutions from around the globe to provide a world-class education in the fields of art and creative technology to anyone, anywhere in the world. - https://www.class-central.com/report/kadenze/
What we’re looking for
We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our small but talented web team in order to build up and scale out the infrastructure for our application. We are flexible on location and are open to a remote developer as long as you are a strong communicator and have proven experience working remotely. The definition of “DevOps” is somewhat controversial, but we prefer the one from http://theagileadmin.com/what-is-devops/: System administrators participating in the product development process alongside developers and using a many of the same techniques for their systems work.
Our ideal candidate is an savvy sysadmin with experience working in an agile environment. You’d be coming in near the ground floor so this also has strong potential to evolve into a leadership position as the company and infrastructure continue to grow.
Of course, we’ll want you to have some experience with our current technology stack:
- Amazon AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, AutoScaling, Cloudfront, Transcoder, IAM, etc)
- Ubuntu Linux
- PostgreSQL
- Nginx
- Fusion Passenger
- Chef
- Capistrano
- Ruby on Rails 4
And we’ll need you to be good at some or all of the following:
- Frequent and clear communication
- Quickly identifying and responding to infrastructure failures.
- Analyzing hardware requirements based on app performance and estimated user load scenarios
- Automating setup and deployment of application infrastructure
- Configuring and tweaking web and application servers
- Database clustering and replication setup
- Server monitoring and threshold alerts
- Common security concerns and mitigation strategies
Bonus points for any of these items:
- Ruby on Rails development experience
- Experience with automated load and performance testing
- Experience setting up a continuous integration style deployment process
What you’ll be doing
You will be the primary person responsible for deployment and management of the application infrastructure for a startup with potential for rapid growth. As the resident expert on best practices and trends, you will have a very strong input on infrastructure related decisions across our product line. Primarily, you will be responsible for estimating, provisioning, automating, and monitoring the infrastructure for our applications. As part of this process, you will need to develop potential load and failure scenarios along with mitigation and response strategies. You will also be asked to deliver periodic performance and usage reports.
Why you should join us
We enjoy working hard in a laid back, politics and drama free atmosphere in an office where you’ll find frequent discussions about topics from digital music generation and analysis to visual processing and machine learning. Almost everybody at the company has music, artistic, or hobby projects that they work on on the side, so we all value our time away from the office. We want you to be passionate and believe in what we are doing, but we also know that life is too full to spend it all at work. That said, we don’t fear the occasional late night or hard push to get ready for a demo, but strive to hone in our planning to prevent such occurrences from happening frequently.
