A typical day of a Frontend Developer will go from build component oriented and responsive web applications and, as a team member, work with designers and software engineers to ship highly visual products. The technical skills are important, but he should also value the soft skills. Present a proof of concept, discuss requirements with the team, set priorities and appropriate delivery time, being able to share knowledge with the team and produce quality documentation are skills we expect but we will also help to develop.

Hi! We are TidTilForsikring (TimeForInsurance); a Danish startup looking to change the way, people look at insurances. Most people think it's quite a boring (and complex) subject, and a lot of people actually end up having the wrong insurance coverage.
Our goal is to change this. We have developed our first prototype, but now we're looking for more ressources to finish up the product for release.
We want to achieve this goal, by building a tool which uses 'questions' to analyse the situation, that our users are in, and using their answers to generate an insurance package that'll fit perfectly into their lives.
The first prototype has already been built, and is working really well. But to take the prototype to the next level and getting ready for release, we need an extra pair of hands.

Lasse is our online marketing specialist, and he's previously worked as an OM consultant at one of the largest Danish web bureaus. He's also been an integral part of the business development part, and is in charge of both marketing and on-site optimization.
Lars is the technical lead. He manages the development team consisting of two freelancers, while also participating in the actual development and architecture of the platform.
Other than the three people mentioned above, we have another investor who also has extensive knowledge of the insurance market in Denmark, and acts as an advisor as well as an investor.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for a full-time remote backend developer who takes pride in high-quality, maintainable and pretty code.
Your main tasks will be to further develop the algorithms used to generate the insurance and coverage suggestions.

Well, it's not that different, but people working at Codeable are.
We're a bunch of proud nerds - be it tech, design or business wise - we have good sense of humor and also manage to get work done.
What do you even do?
We're a startup (we'll be 3 years old on 7th of January 2016) but we're profitable. We have been called a leading outsourcing platform in the WordPress market.
So what we are is a premium outsourcing platform for all your WordPress needs. Think UpWork, Elance or oDesk but as a Mercedes-Benz (great quality and very reliable). We actually interview people (freelancers) who want to work for us because we actually care about quality.
Codeable is all about quality and we're well known for our awesome customer support. Just in case you don't believe us, here is a quote from one of our customers: "Great job by another very talented Codeable tech! I'll definitely be back.".
We currently have around 8 permanently involved people (programmers, marketing, ...) and a few working for us part time (UX, Design). That said, we are currently lacking power in the backend "department".
What am I going to do?
The thing you do best. We believe that we can get the best out of our people if we focus on the things they do best.
If chosen, you will have a month (or two) long testing period where we see how you fit in the team and how you perform at your work.
Proactive approach is most wanted since we're not a big company and we don't have a development/programming department. Meaning if you see something that should be fixed or made better and you can do it, then you do it.
If you know you can improve something, just do it.
Now to the real business...
Our backend code needs a bit of a face-lift and some speed optimizations and at the same time we decided to rethink a bit how we are building our application.
We are very keen on approaches that would allow us to extract some (if not most) of the code from Rails so we could manage it better and at the same time speed up our tests.
We're not aiming for the "big rewrite". What we have in mind is a gradual approach to improving our code.
So if terms like DDD, Hexagonal, Rails engines, Test driven and OO don't scare you or even better, they get you excited, you might be the chosen one!
Follow the white rabbit (or just scroll down, whatever is easier).
What do I need?
Solid knowledge or Ruby
Solid knowledge or Rails
Solid knowledge of CI and continuous deployment
Solid understanding of REST
Solid experience in designing APIs
Solid knowledge of GIT (we use feature branches)
Solid knowledge of refactoring code
Curious gene (you have to love testing new stuff and doubting and improving old)
Love & hate relationship with Rails
Openness to other platforms and approaches/methodologies. Rails is not a religion for us.
Your responsibilities a bit more detailed
Developing new and maintaining old features
Designing and shaping the new version of API (v1 is getting old and with new frontend app coming we need v2)
Designing, shaping and integrating services in good OO manner
Collaborating with frontend developers to find the best solution for improvements or new features
Some manual (DB, console, ...) number crunching work to satisfy our spreadsheet gods
Helping us all develop a good programming/development culture (freedom of choice and sense of responsibilities/ownership )
Participation on dailies (every working day at 10AM (GMT+1)
What am I going to get?
An option to work remotely (duh!).
Freedom of choice => right tool for the job (but own it - if it breaks it's your responsibility).
Flexible working hours => only 10am daily is mandatory - can be skipped on occasions if requested.
Competitive salary => If you are that good, then you deserve it!
Team building/meetings => Since we're all working remotely we have the need for human touch once in a while, this is when we meet together, eat some nice food, do some cool activities (last time we went sky diving!), talk and work together.
Working environment where people care about what they do
Attractive bonus/reward program (we are currently working on it)
We are transforming the way local goods move around a city by enabling anyone to get any product delivered in under one hour.
Our urban logistics & on-demand delivery platform connects people with local runners, who pickup and deliver goods from any restaurant, bakery, store or business in the city Quickli.

Do you have experience pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with Drupal? Do you take pride in putting your PHP skills to the test while building enterprise site? Do you enjoy collaborating with a talented team of individuals who speak Drupal?
The Pathfinder Group, Ltd. is seeking a full time software developer who will design, develop, maintain, and support software, primarily in Scala, with other JVM languages as needed. A passionate and hard-working software craftsman, the desired candidate will be a highly responsible, self-motivated individual who possesses excellent time management and communication skills, and is able to handle multiple responsibilities and projects at once.
This is not your average job posting - we're looking for a talented individual, someone to work with part-time / full-time (for a fixed term) or on contractual bases - whatever gets the job done and keeps you motivated. You can work remotely from the comfort of your home, once the project is initiated. We are, however, looking for an individual that resides locally in or around the London / Greater London area; so it's easy to commute to Slough as and when necessary. In any case, applicants living outside the UK should not apply, unless you're willing to commute to Slough at least a few times throughout the course of this assignment OR your experience, expertise and enthusiasm is so relevant to this job that you just have to apply even if you're in another part of the world.
We’re looking for an experienced front-end developer who also has a knack for design to help us build, maintain, and improve our websites. Wheelhouse is growing fast and needs help as soon as possible. We work with some amazing clients and have an awesome atmosphere. This is a full-time work-from-home or office position, but we keep regular hours relative to your time zone.
ABOUT YOU
You’re a confident coder who knows a thing or two about design. When we talk about CSS/HTML/JS, you think "Duh" or something less rude. You know how to work with an existing brand identity, but also how to make that identity stronger by creating and launching gorgeous and functional web pages. Git and SASS are like second nature to you. Working knowledge of content management systems along with any knowledge of Ruby would be a plus.
ABOUT US
You can check out http://wheelhou.se/ to learn more about us, but here is a snippet: We’re a small team of 6 people, all working in office/remotely mainly across Oklahoma. We do a lot of collaborating on Slack, along with virtual team meetings and futuristic video calls.

The Zotero team is looking for a full-time, contract developer to work on the Zotero website, joining a major redesign of zotero.org and helping to shape the Zotero ecosystem going forward. You’ll work with both front- and back-end technologies, including the latest standards and tools for building rich client-side web applications, which you’ll help choose. (Think we should use ES6 via Babel or build something with React? Let’s do it.) While you’ll be primarily responsible for the Zotero website, you might also pitch in with other parts of the project, helping to extend the Zotero web API, optimize the AWS infrastructure, or build back-end services to power new features. As part of a small team, you’ll have responsibility over core components of the project and the freedom to experiment and find creative solutions to tough problems. Most importantly, you’ll participate in a vibrant global open-source community with amazing community developers and passionate users.
The core Zotero development team meets periodically in person (conference room in Virginia, falafel joint in Paris, cafe in New York City), but you’ll primarily be working remotely, communicating with Zotero developers and users via chat rooms, forums, mailing lists, and GitHub. We have a highly collaborative but asynchronous workflow, and you’ll be in control of your own schedule. Our hours are flexible and variable: we might be debating a new feature at 1 p.m. or deploying a major upgrade at 1 a.m.

Experience building rich client-side web applications
Comfort using command-line Linux/Unix systems and services
Strong attention to privacy and security issues
A love of free and open-source software
Strong communication skills — we discuss and debate nearly everything we do, so it’s critical that you can (and want to!) take part in that

The way legal transactions are done is filled with inefficiencies, which leads to ridiculously high legal fees. We're fixing this by building software that automates and streamlines the process.
We're profitable and growing sustainably. We're one of the most popular ways for high-growth technology startups to incorporate. Y Combinator and 500 Startups both use our software to handle their investment paperwork. Our product is used by tons of top tier startups and investors.
We're a quiet leader in the legal technology space - we're working on a ton of really innovative software (far beyond what we've released publicly). If you are interested in changing the legal industry, this is arguably the best place to be.
Notes on our stack and processes:
Our front-end is mostly in Backbone, but we're moving to Ember.
We love OOCSS.
We only support modern browsers.
We use CI extensively for linting, tests, visual diffs, and deployment.
Our backend is mostly in Ruby on Rails, with some Scala and Go as well.
We're not religious about any particular technology - we believe in using the right tool for a given problem.
This is a great fit if you want to work:
... at a product-driven company bringing an old-fashioned industry into the future
... on a complex product, with a ton of engineering challenges
... on a well-loved product with a lot of usage and visibility in the startup community
... in a company that strongly values good software development practices
... at a financially sound company
... with bright people who are extremely passionate about their work
... where you'll be a key early software engineer
This position can be either co-located or remote (completely up to you). If you're co-located, you can have your office (if you want). We're located in Burlingame, California - within walking / biking distance of Millbrae Caltrain / BART.
We are only looking directly for full-time employees - we are absolutely not interested in agencies, contractors, or recruiters.

A DREAM JOB FOR THE RIGHT PERSON
This is an amazing opportunity for someone who is smart, ambitious, and incredibly organized. Join a fun and dynamic company, work from nearly anywhere in the world, and live and breathe travel.
Know someone that’s perfect for the job? Please share this post with them!
WHO ARE WE?
We are a fast growing travel company that specializes in crafting bespoke journeys for savvy travelers from around the world.
Apart from the unique experiences we offer our clients, it is our extreme attention to detail that helps us ensure that each of our travelers has an amazing trip.
As part of your job, you’ll be working closely with one of our founders on our core company (and possibly on a new venture we are launching), as well as with our lovely travelers and suppliers.
We love what we do, and get to work with fascinating people from around the world.
We’d love for you to join us!
WHO ARE YOU?
We are hiring an Operations Ninja to join our team and help us “level up” our operational and support sophistication.
Travel industry operations experience is a plus, but not a requirement.
Your primary mission – should you choose to accept it – is to provide our travelers with a seamless, worry-free and wonderful experience, from the moment a trip is booked, until after our clients have returned home from their trip.
You’ll be responsible for communicating with our travelers and suppliers throughout this process, and for all the behind-the-scenes work that ensures they have an amazing trip.
Superlative speaking and writing skills (including spelling and grammar) are essential. Expertise in over-the-top Zappos-style customer service is a huge plus.
The position requires an obsessive attention to the smallest details, and the ability to think well outside the box. It is painstaking work that requires a ninja-like, almost superhuman ability to focus on tiny details.
WHAT TO EXPECT
You’ll spend the first few weeks with us learning about our business, beginning to master all of your tasks and responsibilities, and providing our customers and suppliers with amazing service.
After you have mastered these skills you will embark on the greater mission: finding and developing ways to improve our systems and processes, so they are more efficient, easier to execute, and – most importantly – increasingly better for our clients.
A huge part of your job will be to continually discover and fix operational weaknesses, and you must have a proven track record of being able to manage yourself.
Even if you have no travel industry experience at all, if you have relevant experience and can convince us that you are perfect for this job, we want to hear from you.
Know someone that’s perfect for the job? Please share this post with them!
TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Here is a sampling of the types of tasks and responsibilities you’ll be in charge of. If these tasks don’t make sense to you yet, don’t worry. After joining our team, you’ll be trained in a broad range of skills, including the following and more:
Preparing, revising and proofreading detailed trip itineraries (in our business, the details are everything)
Helping our clients enjoy memorable and stress-free travels by arming them with important trip details, essential pre-departure information, and answering pre-trip questions
Communicating extensively with suppliers (e.g., hotels, guides, etc.) to coordinate services
Staying on top of continually evolving client support tasks, and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks
Following detailed SOPs (standard operating procedures) to complete tasks with total accuracy – and, most importantly, updating SOPs as processes evolve
Identifying and fixing operational weaknesses so that our systems and processes continually evolve to be more efficient, easier to execute, and increasingly better for our clients
Expertise in the following is a plus but not required:
Asana and/or Trello
Google Apps
SOPs
Spreadsheets
Zapier
There is a lot of room for growth in this position, and depending on your skills and the circumstances, you will probably also have the opportunity to work in other areas of our business – one of the many pluses of joining a small and dynamic team.
IMPORTANT DETAILS
This is not an easy job, and you will be working full time. But you won’t be working from a cubicle (unless cubicles are your thing), because the position is remote, i.e., location-independent.
YOUR LOCATION
With a headquarters in California, our company is US-based but location-independent, which means that you can work from almost anywhere in the world you please – provided you have infallible Internet.
Don’t think this means you’ll be on vacation: whether you’re working from Tokyo, Perth, Barcelona or elsewhere, you will be working hard and tackling difficult but invigorating challenges.
It will be up to you where to set up base.
As a close-knit team, we will speak often by Skype, Slack and email – and meet in person when possible. But if you have a feeling that working remotely might not work for you, you may be right. Many people prefer the structure and interaction of in-person office positions, and remote work can be lonely and challenging – it’s definitely not for everyone.
YOUR SCHEDULE
This is a full-time job with a fairly flexible schedule.
We are extremely results oriented, and while we will provide a lot of guidance and support (we want you to succeed!), you must have a proven track record of being able to successfully manage yourself.
While we are generally not as concerned about which hours you work (you won’t be clocking in and out), you will have daily, weekly and other regular deliverables that must be completed on time.
You will also need to coordinate your schedule to speak in real time with the rest of the team (via Skype and Slack), which – depending on your location – may require flexible time zone coordination on your part. Particularly at the beginning, we will speak in real time several days a week and often daily.
Know someone that’s perfect for the job? Please share this post with them!
COMPENSATION
Pay will be dependent on experience and skills.
Working hard and thinking outside the box pays off here, and there is a lot of room for growth. For the right person there will be many opportunities to increase your level of responsibility and compensation.
I’M READY TO APPLY! WHAT ARE THE NEXT STEPS?
This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the right person.
Applications are due by September 15th – however, we are looking to fill the position as soon as possible, so don’t wait until the due date to apply.
To get the process started please begin by sending us the requested application info.
If you’re thinking about applying but worried you might not have enough ____ (insert random excuse here) – don’t worry. You’re probably better than you think.
Even if you’re not applying, if you think this sounds like an amazing opportunity please share it through email, Facebook, Twitter and/or Instagram!
