At Olo we develop an online food ordering platform used by many of the country’s largest restaurant chains, reaching millions of consumers. Chances are if you’ve ordered directly from a restaurant brand’s app or website, we’ve made that happen. Mobile ordering and payments is an exciting and active industry full of interesting players and yet still a relatively untapped market ripe for disruption. We’re quite up-front about the technical challenges our business faces. Running a platform with multiple white-labeled front-ends, that maintains real-time connections into thousands of restaurants’ POS systems, and coordinates complex transactions between these and other third parties (such as payment gateways and gift card providers) is not for the faint of heart!
We take pride in a neat codebase with automated tests and continuous integration, and encourage constant refactoring. We encourage new ideas and experimentation. No part of the code base is off limits.
Olo is revolutionizing the customer experience with restaurant chains, and we're looking for talented engineers to join our team and help achieve this vision. As part of the team you will play a significant and visible role in helping us scale one of the most advanced food ordering platforms in the market. You will design, develop, scale, and monitor solutions, improvements, and services in our core ordering platform. While primarily focused on our back-end, the position requires contributions throughout our stack.
You'll work with a smart, passionate team dedicated to delivering amazing products using modern tools and technologies such as .NET 4.6, ASP.NET MVC 5, TeamCity, GitHub, Octopus Deploy, and heavy use of OSS.
Any engineer may work at Olo’s headquarters in New York City’s Financial District or remotely from anywhere in the U.S. In fact, more than half of our engineering team (and Olo) is remote!
Requirements
* A passion for computing that extends beyond work
* At least 3 years on-the-job development experience at a senior technical level
* A drive to automate anything that has to be done more than once
* Excellent knowledge of C#, .NET and object oriented concepts
* Adept at writing unit tests and testable code, and working under distributed version control (preferably Git)
* In-depth understanding of Windows, SQL Server and networking concepts
* Hands-on experience instrumenting, deploying and monitoring production code
* Excellent English writing and communication skills
* Legal right to work in the U.S.
Beneficial
* B.S degree or equivalent education
* Experience developing for highly available and horizontally scalable platforms
* Hands on experience developing projects in F#.
* Experience with any of: Redis, distributed messaging systems, Amazon Web Services
* A background in restaurant or e-commerce technology, including point of sale systems, payment gateways, and CRM and loyalty platforms
* Working knowledge of ASP.NET MVC, JavaScript, HTML5/CSS

Demonstrated technical impact is a requirement, but management experience is not. We know that great products are built by collaborative individuals, not by managers. Do you think it's cool to jailbreak iPhones, control them via Python and SSH, download apps, extract headers and compare them to a dictionary of 10,000 SDK fingerprints, and parse and push to a Redshift store with over a billion records?
Well cool. That's just the start.
MightySignal is venture-backed and sells $25K+/yr contracts to serve SDK installation data to sales and marketing teams in the mobile app development market. We're a very healthy business with some amazing technology. Revenue has doubled in the past year and customer upgrades are currently offsetting cancellations (aka "negative churn" -- most companies never see this).
We work in and around San Francisco. Our hardware lab is in Las Vegas and that's where we'll do quarterly meetups. You can be anywhere.
Our job is to keep this business highly profitable without disrupting the growth trajectory. Sound fun?
# Responsibilities
Maintain a complex suite of microservices, datastores, and web architecture.
Manage other remote engineering teammates as they consolidate services or run other projects.
Continue to find ways to streamline and cut costs as needed.
Maybe even fit in some R&D.
# Requirements
Be good about managing email and other communication.
Standard full-stack knowledge. Rails and AWS (S3, EC2, Redshift, SQS) are most important, followed by Python and iOS/Android architecture.
Can be part-time or full-time. We're flexible for the right people.

Software is broken, and we're working hard to fix it. While the goal may seem audacious, it’s what drives us. We believe that the current state of software development is not good enough and we’re looking for others to help join our cause and improve the lives of software developers, business owners, and users who are saddled with hard-to-maintain code, cost overruns, and buggy apps.
Developers at Test Double are primarily focused on writing high quality software to solve our customer’s problems. Focus should be paid towards implementing solutions that are well-tested, easily maintained, and built with empathy for its users' needs. Many of our engagements allow us to work alongside our clients' development staff as well. Building software in close collaboration with our clients' people gives us the opportunity to learn from one another as we share our knowledge and experience as a broader team.
Knowledge sharing and continuous improvement are among our core values, so we encourage our people to share what they're learning with others. We're proud to support our Double Agents when they speak at meet ups & conferences, blog, screencast, contribute to open source, and organize in their local software community. These activities are one way we can have an impact on the world beyond our day-to-day client service, so our team members support one another with encouragement, mentorship, and feedback.
Test Double is still a small and adaptable agency so we are actively enlisting the help of all of our developers to guide and improve our business. Those opportunities may entail participating in our candidate evaluation process, improving our candidate outreach, helping with account management and sales, or even improving upon our ability to keep other employees engaged and fulfilled within their careers. * Share experience and knowledge with client developers so that they are well-positioned to succeed, even long after we're gone
* Quickly and efficiently learn our client’s business domain, existing systems, and strategy
* Learn new frameworks, technologies, languages, and techniques so that you are able to adapt to the changing needs of our clients
* Identify technology, process, and communication issues facing our clients and propose ideas to help them improve
* Communicate openly and honestly with everyone, even when we know the news will not be positively received
* Leverage slack time for personal career growth
Are encouraged to:
* Share with the broader community (e.g. speaking, blogging, mentoring, organizing events)
* Assist in the outreach programs aimed at bringing in more Double Agents
* Contribute to the candidate evaluation process
* Collaborate with other agents on internal processes and initiatives to help the company accomplish its mission

About Us
Vorstella is an AI platform that automatically manages large scale distributed systems like Cassandra, Hadoop, Spark and Kafka for large companies. Founded by ex-DataStax engineers, weve designed some of the largest distributed system deployments in the world and we wanted to make this technology accessible to everyone. You shouldnt need 3 years of experience to feel comfortable running a new system at scale. We take the guesswork out of using new technology and let you focus on building your applications.
Who we're looking forWere looking for someone that is probably 60% engineer, 40% machine learning. A little more street fighter, a little less ivory tower. Someone that can write production quality code, solve engineering problems, and knows enough ML to find good-enough solutions. Someone thats creative and can solve problems without always reaching for the ML hammer. Sometimes we use rules, sometime we use ML, sometimes we need to ask the user better questions.
What youll be working on
Youll be working on the machine learning pipeline and models. Weve got multiple signals both synthesized and raw being fed into root-cause analysis, database tuning algorithms and cost optimization. These models feed data to the UI/API which presents next best action to the end user. Were always looking for a solution that gets us to good outcomes as quickly as possible. Sometimes its basic, sometimes were pushing beyond the boundaries of whats published.
Our stack
Our deployment target is Docker and Kubernetes. On the frontend we use React/Redux. Back-end services are written in Go, with the machine learning code written in Python. Our continuous integration system is CircleCI, and we use GitHub for all our code. Were multi-cloud with deployments currently in Google and AWS.
Benefits
* Writing code that manages some of the largest distributed systems in the world. We work with customers that have hundreds of thousands of servers.
* Youll be a senior member of the team, youll have strong input over large swathes of infrastructure as well as product ownership for core products and features.
* Writing code and working with a team thats pushing the cutting edge of whats possible. Youll be working with some of the worlds experts in optimization and distributed systems.
* The ability to publish and contribute to multiple popular open source projects.

Cryptocurrency Software Engineer
Your opportunity to work with a team of brilliant engineers developing world-changing technology is here—seize it!
Are you tired of boring corporate awareness trainings, pointless meetings, bloviating managers, and political games? At Pyrofex, we do things differently: we hire great engineers, give them the tools to do great things, and expect them to do so. We are invested in each team members growth and foster a workplace that celebrates accomplishments and hard work.
Pyrofex is hiring. Show us your best work.
About Us
Pyrofex Corporation is changing the blockchain game and quickly growing a world-class team to do it. As Utah Valley’s first cryptocurrency startup, founded in 2016 by ex-Googlers Mike Stay and Nash Foster, Pyrofex is busy creating next-generation blockchain platforms that are simple, secure, and always reliable. We take pride in our work. We set high expectations for everyone, from our founders to each team member, and as a result we deliver extraordinary products and services.
At Pyrofex, we hire for strength, not for lack of weakness. We hire for capability and talent. We hire people who have a passion for quality and innovation. Each team member achieves great things in an environment supporting both independence and collaboration.
About You
You collaborate well with others to design and architect our complex systems. You take the amorphous sets of needs and use cases and distill these into written designs and specifications. You demonstrate a fastidious attention to detail, knowledge of your programming tools, and the ability to regularly produce working, correct code.
Pyrofex hires engineers at all levels of experience—from current students to engineers with decades of experience. After all, one of our founders has a Ph.D., and the other dropped out of college, twice! The path we've taken to get this far is unique and we suspect the same will be true of our best employees.
We are most interested in hiring programmers with knowledge of functional programming, a background in computer science, and can program in Scala. However, if you think this job is for you, we'll take a look.
About the Job
Our Software Engineers will help us deliver various products and platforms, which are written in Scala, C/C++, Python, Rust, and JavaScript. The engineers on this team will design, implement, test, deploy, and manage a large-scale global software system using Linux and the JVM. Pyrofex builds cryptocurrency systems and large-scale distributed and decentralized applications.
Five years ago, we thought things like SRE and DevOps would make it clear what "deploy and manage" meant for the future, but now we know we were wrong. The future is changing too fast and our job is to keep up. That said, from time to time, we all have to get out of bed at 2AM to deal with something broken.
If this sounds good to you, then e-mail us at jobs@pyrofex.net with the subject line, “SIGN ME UP!” and your resume or linkedin profile. We would also enjoy a cover letter telling us about your work ethic and your favorite project. If you can send us examples of your code, that would be most excellent.

Hi there!
We're looking for someone to join our Engineering team at Zapier as an Application Security Engineer Are you interested in helping build and secure a powerful automation tool? Then read on…
We know applying for and taking on a new job at any company requires a leap of faith. We want you to feel comfortable and excited to apply at Zapier. To help share a bit more about life at Zapier, here are a few resources in addition to the job description that can give you an inside look at what life is like at Zapier. We hope you'll take the leap of faith and apply.
* Our Commitment to Applicants
* Culture and Values at Zapier
* Zapier Guide to Remote Work
* Zapier Code of Conduct
* Diversity and Inclusivity at Zapier
Zapier is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace dedicated to pursuing and hiring a diverse workforce.
Even though our job description may seem like we're looking for a specific candidate, the role inevitably ends up tailored to the person who applies and joins. Regardless of how well you feel you fit our description, we encourage you to apply if you meet these criteria:
You care deeply about building secure products in secure ways that simplify the lives of millions of people through automation.
About You
You have web application and infrastructure security experience. Keeping the core Zapier web application secure is at the heart of this role. Zapier is a SaaS product, so experience building software and managing infrastructure under a similar model is a big plus.
You know what makes browsers and sites secure. The web browser is practically the operating system of the internet; these days nearly everything that happens online, happens in a browser. You’ll help us continue to keep customer data safe by ensuring the “first mile” is trouble-free.
You love writing software and building infrastructure. Most of what you’ll do each day is guiding, building and maintaining Zapier's infrastructure and product. You'll focus on high value, high risk portions of Zapier. You'll use code to automate and improve the more mundane parts of auditing and monitoring of internal processes, as well as in the product.
You have worked with teams before on large Python, AWS, & Kubernetes projects. You’re also familiar with some common frameworks for languages like Django, Flask, or Rails as well as React/Backbone.js. You've also worked extensively in cloud providers like AWS, GCE, or Azure
You love doing things efficiently. At Zapier, the work you do will have a disproportionate impact on the business. We believe in systems and processes that let us scale our impact to be larger than ourselves. You'll be in a unique position to find and eliminate "insecure and painful" experiences and replace them with "secure and joyful" experiences.
You love learning. Engineering is an ever-evolving world. You enjoy playing with new tech and exploring areas that you might not have experience with yet.
You love to set your own direction. At Zapier, we have one team meeting each week and one-on-one meetings every month. Between those we chat in Slack and then go make things happen.
You are friendly and patient, welcoming, considerate, and respectful. Learn more about these attributes in our code of conduct.
Things You Might Do
Zapier is a small, fast-growing, and remote-first company, so you'll likely get experience on many different projects across the organization. That said, here are some things you'll probably do:
* Write some Python!
* Identify where we can add more layers of defense in depth and implement them.
* Periodically embed with product teams with to help with security sensitive projects.
* Build internal tooling to ensure safe data access patterns for Zapier employees.
* Review code across Zapier's product and infrastructure.
* Locating weak points across Zapier and strengthening them.
* Ship code to millions of users every week.
* Experiment: this is a startup so everything can change
As part of our All Hands Support initiative, help customers have the best experience with Zapier as possible.
How To Apply
We have a non-standard application process. To jump-start the process we ask a few questions we normally would ask at the start of an interview. This helps speed up the process and lets us get to know you a bit better right out of the gate.
After you apply, you are going to hear back from us, even if we don't seem like a good fit. In fact, throughout the process, we strive to make sure you never go more than seven days without hearing from us.

Why Thanx?
Americans spend more than $5 trillion on restaurants, retail, and services each year. Nearly 90% of those transactions happen in a real-world store. Data is king and online it powers personalized customer experiences and product recommendations. Offline, however, it’s still 1999. Brands are blind to their customers, causing them to spend more and more money on “megaphone” marketing with the same message to everyone. The result is an ever-increasing wave of generic spam that makes it hard for consumers to build deeper, data-driven relationships with their favorite brands. No wonder brick-and-mortar stores are being left behind.
Thanx is fundamentally changing that. As the CRM for offline merchants, Thanx personalizes every interaction between a merchant and their best customers, resulting in measurable increases in revenue for merchants and far greater personalization for consumers. How?
* Through proprietary partnerships with credit card networks (e.g. Visa), Thanx can reward consumers for their purchases and deliver highly-customized promotions to get them to return
* Through our interactive dashboard, Thanx makes even the smallest marketing team a data-science driven expert in personalization, delivering the right message to the right customer at the right time through the right channel.
* And by measuring our success based on revenue generated (not opens and clicks of emails) Thanx is committed to proving that we are actually making an impact for the brands we work with.
Think of us as Salesforce meets Google Adwords for offline retail. Thanx is backed by some of the best investors in the world — Sequoia Capital, Icon Ventures, and Andy Rachleff (CEO Wealthfront, cofounder Benchmark Capital), to name a few.
Thanx Engineering
Yes, we have an app you can download. But that represents no more than 3% of our codebase. The power of Thanx is in the data-driven marketing intelligence that powers merchant-to-consumer interactions — we don’t show that stuff off publicly, but here’s what it looks like:
* Team: early engineers at AWS, Cloudera, Climate, Zenefits, Okta. Experience from successful product companies like Disney, Google, and Facebook. A small but elite team that is ready to grow.
* Growth: 10x YOY data growth; $200M+ delivered to merchants; 200% team growth; modern, rapidly-evolving platform -— adopted Golang, Elasticsearch, NLP, React, React Native, GraphQL, and added 5+ new microservices, all in the last 12 months.
* Culture: data-driven decision-making, risk-taking, no hierarchy, collaboration & shared responsibility, testing and continuous improvement. As a remote-friendly team, we have flexible work hours. We take time off as needed. We work and play hard — be warned when it comes to Mario Kart, we are super competitive!
Opportunity
* You could be our 8th engineer (or 9th-16th too — yeah, we’re really scaling now)
* We build the team as a team — once you join, you have equal say in how we evolve.
* Connect millions of offline merchants with billions of customers worldwide
* It’s still early. Growth opportunities include leading teams, being involved in product ideation, design, architecting systems, helping shape engineering, and company culture. And top-notch equity.
Technologies We Use
* Ruby on Rails, React, React Native, Swift, Objective-C, Java, Kotlin, Golang, Elasticsearch, MySQL, Postgres, AWS, Heroku, Terraform, Docker

More about WalletHub
WalletHub is a high-growth fintech company based in Washington, D.C. that is looking for talented, hard-working individuals to help us reshape personal finance. More specifically, we are harnessing the power of data analytics and artificial intelligence to build the brain of a smart financial advisor, whose services we’re offering to everyone for free. The WalletHub brain enables users to make better financial decisions in a fraction of the time with three unique features:
1) Customized Credit-Improvement Tips: WalletHub identifies improvement opportunities and guides you through the necessary corrections.
2) Personalized Money-Saving Advice: WalletHub’s savings brain constantly scours the market for load-lightening opportunities, bringing you only the best deals.

Litify's Professional Services team is looking to hire an engineer to oversee data migrations. You would own the tooling (bash scripts, ruby, kiba-etl) and swoop in to help get our customers live. This position is quite varied - there's always different customers with different needs. And there's always interesting challenges to overcome - often things that someone was going to do by hand over 3 days so when you swoop and and do it via awk in 5 min they're immensely grateful!

We are looking for an experienced UI/UX practitioner to help us scope and design our next generation contract drafting platform. This role would be primarily to design interfaces for product features that enable lawyers to draft contracts faster.
Essentially the perfect candidate is someone who can take a concept and turn it into a functional and beautiful working mock up, using consultation with customers, consideration of the broad vision, and artistic license to achieve the goal.
This role is perfect for someone who has a technical streak - the applicant will use QML (which is based on JavaScript) to build an interactive interface. The finished mockup will be tested with customers, and if fitting, will go to the developers who will put the real backend behind it and it will make its way into our main product, Prose (tryprose.com).

You are a passionate, which is the most important, software engineer with several years of experience crafting software, it is better :), but if you feel that you have the potential, don't hesitate, and with:
- broad experience in back-end development, HTTP and APIs
- preferably, some experiences with Go, knowledge of distributed systems and simplicity, familiar with the UNIX philosophy, database such as MySQL, swagger ...
- A big + would be that you understand or you have worked as a DevOps as we build a DevOps platform.
What is also important is that we are looking for more than just a developer. We are looking for a person who can build with us new features, can bring some new ideas to what could be a great DevOps platform to build a bridge between Dev & Ops & tools.
We work on empowering people so we don't have a full-time product manager due to our culture.
You are of course a team player and know how to work in remote even if you can work at Cycloid office in Paris if you live in IDF. You can decide to work on remote or co-working place if you are located in Europe, we only hire people located in Europe to avoid timezone issue and we don't accept relocation. All the organisation are in an asynchronous manner. We donโt use emails, only Github, Slack, Trello and Hangout.
You have excellent written and oral communication skills in English, another language would be a plus.
Cycloid is committed to having equality between women and men. In that way, we strongly encourage women's application.

We just launched a new product (https://mixedinkey.com/captain-plugins) and got hundreds of feature requests. We want you to build the next generations of this software with us. Watch the video to see what it does
Get to know us:
1. Our team is global, and everyone works remotely
Our team lives all over the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Russia, Netherlands, and Serbia. We have 12 permanent team members, and another 12 people who help out with smaller tasks. You can work remotely from anywhere in the world as long as you're available during the day (EST time) for collaboration over Slack
2. We hire great developers and have a long track record of success
* The company was started by a developer, so he can read your code and help you solve problems
* The first Mac developer who joined the team 12 years ago is still on the team, working on new products every day
* We never outsourced our software development to other companies. We own and maintain 100% of our source code, so we know it inside out and can help you learn it faster
* We've written 30+ codebases with just 2-3 developers on each one. We work in small teams (1-3 developers, 1 QA, 1 designer on each task)
* You will have a healthy live-work balance. We don't use crunch time
* Our team is kind and talented. Our developers always collaborate well with each other
* We prioritize quality because we're in it for the long term
3. You'll learn a lot from this job
Our software is more complex than most products. You'll learn a lot from working on it.
Your teammates are friendly, talented and polite. If you're looking for collaborators and mentors, you'll find them.
4. Our goal is to teach our fans how to compose great music
We launched our new product called Captain Plugins. Magazine press and our fans loved it, so we have a wish list of hundreds of feature requests and ideas on what to build next. That is why we're hiring -- we have a lot of interesting work
Here's the YouTube promo showing how the plugin works.
One of the best testimonials we've gotten is that "These plugins close the door on the past." They are a brand-new way to write music and create songs from scratch.
5. Skills & requirements
1) A very solid understanding of Objective-C
2) Some knowledge of Swift
3) Optional, but nice to have: C++ knowledge, so you can integrate audio engines with new front-ends written in Obj-C
4) Any experience in CoreAudio and/or AVFoundation would be a big plus
5) Doing something hard - like 3D rendering, or OS-level stuff, or anything else that goes beyond making basic iOS apps
6) Knowledge of music and music theory is helpful but not required
7) Natural curiosity for how things work
8) Taking a lot of initiative. This is part of the job requirement - we hire people who take initiative
9) Desire to work from home. You can work 4 days a week (Tuesday-Friday, or Monday-Thursday), or 5 days a week depending on your preference. We don't hire for less than 32 hours per week
Send us an email
We're not a big anonymous corporation, we're a small team of developers who love making music tools. If you want to join us, send us an email at the address below. Show us your work.

We're looking for an engineer with React Native and React experience to join Overloop. There may be some international travel. We are a close-knit, small team, committed to quality code, processes that work, honesty and seeing things through to completion. A typical working day will involve a 20 minute catch up call to kick off the day, reviewing screen mock-ups and/or bug reports, coding, discussing over Slack and Google Hangout, creating a github PR, getting the PR reviewed and seeing your code get to production to make a difference for our clients.
When we meet up a typical day is pretty similar, but in great locations (previously Milan, Budapest, Barcelona) and with the addition of breakfast, lunch and dinner in cafes and restaurants and face time instead of slack and Hangouts.
We mostly use react, node.js and python but are always open to new ideas.
Must have:
React and/or React Native
Nice to have:
Node.js, Python, MySQL, Computer Science degree

And as the frontend team grows, this person should be capable of managing them.
For This Role, We Want To See This Track Record of Results:
* Experience building and delivering React.js applications that have seen actual production usage.
* At least 5 years of applicable experience.
* Strong understanding of the Javascript language itself, including changes in ES8, ES6, as well as recent updates to CSS.
* Understanding of how to write secure frontend code and an awareness of common web application security vulnerabilities.
* Testing and the ability to write unit tests/specs (we use popular JavaScript testing frameworks).
Bonus points for making contributions to major open source projects. If you want to keep making open source contributions, we would support that!

Junior Data Analyst
Ideally located in Eastern Canada or USA (e.g. New York, Boston, Toronto or Montreal)
At Snowplow we are on a mission to empower people to use data to differentiate: by providing technology that gives them control of their data, and services that enable them to do amazing things with that control. As part of that effort, we're changing the way that people do digital analytics: moving companies away from having one-size-fits-all vendors like Google Analytics and Adobe dictate what should be done with their data, and enabling them to collect and own their data themselves, so they can decide:
* What data they want to collect.
* What questions they want to ask of that data.
* How they want to answer those question. (What analyses techniques to employ, what tools to use to execute those analyses.)
* How they want to action the insight developed.
We're looking for curiously brilliant individuals to join our Sales & Implementation Engineering team.
What the role entails:
The Sales & Implementation Engineering team at Snowplow helps companies take control of their data, enabling them to solve problems that previously were intractable and identify opportunities that previously were not visible.
As a member of the Sales & Implementation Engineering team, you will:
* help our clients understand what data needs to be captured, advise them on how to best structure it, and help them implement the tracking;
* work with our clients to take their Snowplow data and use it to build insights and design and build data driven products;
* train our clients in our methodology and approach, including how to best use the different tools in the Snowplow arsenal;
* write blog posts and guides to help the broader Snowplow and Digital Analytics communities;
You'll learn how to:
* set up and run event data pipelines;
* best structure data so it can easily be used for analysis and real-time decisioning;
* architect data models (both relational and non-relational) and implement them in SQL and Spark;
* access the data in databases (Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery, neo4J, ...) and real-time (Elasticsearch, Kinesis, Lambda, ...);
* use modern data analysis tools (Python, Spark, ...)
* set up and use BI tools (Redash, Metabase, Superset, Looker, Tableau, ...);
* use data to solve actual business problems;
* and much more...
You'll get an on-the-job training in digital analytics and an opportunity to work with some of the most data-sophisticated companies in the world. Snowplow is at the cutting edge of how digital analytics and this role is opportunity help us shape how the industry is changing
What we are looking for in a candidate:
* You love working with data and are excited to learn new tools and technologies.
* You're self-motivated and prefer to learn by doing, failing, and trying again (often with minimal direction).
* You're a clear thinker who is comfortable explaining her or his thinking, discussing and challenging different approaches, and working collaboratively and creatively to identify new approaches.
* You're a good communicator. You need to be able to work directly with data analysts, data scientists, engineers, product managers, marketers, and management–both at the client and internally at Snowplow. Being able to communicate with clarity and precision, and being responsive to feedback, is as important as your technical ability.
* You have a strong analytical background (BSc or MSc in Maths, Engineering, Economics, Philosophy, ...).
* You have strong technical skills. You need to be proficient at performing data analysis in spreadsheets or any kind of programmatic analysis tool. Prior experience with SQL or any programming language is valuable but not necessary.
* You're interested in how businesses operate. You'll be working with data to solve actual business problems our clients have.
* You have a mature attitude to security, documentation and process. Our clients trust us with their data. This is a huge responsibility and informs everything we do.
* You are able and willing to travel for work (up to 25% of the time).
What you’ll get in return:
* A competitive package based on experience, including share options
* 23 days of holiday a year (plus bank holidays)
* Freedom to work wherever suits you best (long-term residency will need to be discussed with the team)
* Two fantastic company Away-Weeks in a different European city each year (next one is Madrid in November 2018)
* Work alongside a supportive and talented team with the opportunity to work on cutting edge technology and challenging problems
* Grow and develop in a fast-moving, collaborative organisation
* Improve your coding skills with our Software Development Guild
If you come and visit us in London:
* Convenient location in central London (Shoreditch)
* Continuous supply of Pact coffee
* Enjoy fun events in and around London organised by our Cultural Work Committee

About the role
Are you the QA engineer to help us implement a robust QA process for our open source platforms developed for non-profit organisations? We like to build stuff… sometimes complicated stuff… and sometimes it breaks! So we’re looking for a confident and ambitious Senior QA Test Engineer to join our distributed team.
We do things a little differently, basing all our solutions on open source products, having flexible working hours and real team mentality. Our work covers web design, CRM, app development and branding for Charities and non-profit organisations across the country. Our clients include Charities such as Wikimedia and Farm Africa, galleries such as the Photographers Gallery and Craft Central but also companies, trade associations and government bodies. We are also developing several open source products that are used by non-profit organisations worldwide and the role will be uniquely rewarding as you will have the opportunity to influence and support these valuable projects. The ideal candidate will be an experienced QA engineer who has worked on many complex web applications in the past.
The role will involve a mixture of writing and executing manual test scripts, feeding back to developers on bugs or issues noted. There may also be some future work on automation testing although the primary focus for this role will be manual testing. The ideal candidate would have some existing CRM and CMS experience (ideally Drupal), be an expert in developing comprehensive test plans and submitting bug reports. SQL knowledge and the ability to setup a basic development environment with Git would be a major advantage but are not essential for the role. What we're looking for is someone who can grasp concepts quickly, has great attention to detail, and loves picking holes in (other people’s!) logic. In short, we’re a team of self confessed geeks who love tinkering and tweaking until something is just right, and we’re looking for someone who thinks and acts like us to join our growing team.
Please note that this is a remote contractor position.
The ideal candidate will have:
* 5+ years experience developing test plans for complex web applications
* Experience with implementing solid testing methodologies and processes within an existing organisation
* SQL skills a plus
* Basic git skills and an understanding of git workflows a plus
* A keen interest in developing open source technologies for non-profit organisations

About the role
We like to build stuff… sometimes complicated stuff… for Art Galleries, Non-Profits and Charities.
We’re an innovative bootstrapped startup based in London in the UK. We've grown to over 30 staff in the past 2 years based solely on the quality of the work we’ve been producing for our clients and we’re on the lookout for a talented Senior Drupal/PHP Engineer to join our team.
We do things a little differently, basing all our solutions on open source products, our work covers web design, app development and branding for Charities and non-profit organisations across the country. Our clients include Charities such as Wikimedia and Farm Africa, galleries such as the Photographers Gallery and Craft Central but we've got a long client list that includes other companies, trade associations and government bodies making us a rich and rewarding place to work.
We are an established and growing Drupal agency, working on many exciting and challenging projects. Most of our solutions are based on Drupal and a widely used CRM module known as CiviCRM that integrates well to the CMS. The combination of the two platforms adds an extra layer of complexity to our work and will give you exposure to other technologies then standard Drupal and a chance to further develop your skills.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 4+ Years Drupal experience
- Expert knowledge of configuring and building Drupal 7 sites
- Demonstrable experience of having contributed to the Drupal community
- Strong Git experience (you know your submodules from your subtrees!) and knowledge of working with Drupal in a team environment (i.e. using features).
- Applicable Acquia certification a bonus
- Experience writing PHP unit tests for Drupal
- Object oriented PHP skills (and/or experience with Drupal 8)
- Experience with CiviCRM or working with CRM's in general
What were looking for is someone who can grasp concepts quickly, has great attention to detail, and most importantly loves a tech challenge. In short, we’re a young team of self confessed geeks who love tinkering and tweaking until something is just right and are looking for someone who thinks and acts like us. If you're interested in the role, please send your CV through to us with a short covering letter explaining what got you interested and why you think you will fit in.

About the role
We like to build stuff… sometimes complicated stuff… for Non-Profits, Charities and Art Galleries.
We are on the lookout for a confident and ambitious Junior Devops / SysAdmin to join our fast growing startup to help us automate our development processes and build out our SaaS product. We do things a little differently, basing all our solutions on open source products. We offer a great work-life balance with flexible working hours and a real team mentality. Our work covers web design, app development and branding for charities and non-profit organisations across the UK. Our clients include charities such as Wikimedia and Farm Africa, art galleries such as the Photographers Gallery and Craft Central as well as companies, trade associations and government bodies. Our primary focus is the Drupal and CiviCRM platforms, but someone with a wide range of interests would be favourable.
We are looking for someone to join the team as we work towards automation of our infrastructure, helping everything to run like clockwork. You’ll be:
* Deploying, managing and maintaining fault-tolerant systems on AWS.
* Monitoring and troubleshooting a multitude of Drupal/CiviCRM sites.
* Taking ownership of issues, including collaboration with the rest of the team.
* Monitoring alerts for OS, storage, application and infrastructure issues to keep track of problems proactively.
* Actively mentoring and assisting in the technical development of non-technical staff and developers.
* Writing scripts to simplify developer tasks such as cloning client sites to local environments.
* Keeping technical documentation up to date.
Skills and requirements
Key skills we are looking for:
* Excellent Linux administration skills.
* PHP web server experience (NGINX preferable, but Apache useful).
* Some database administration experience (Mysql or equivalent).
* Experience with cloud technologies, AWS.
* Good Git skills (eg., comfortable preparing release branches).
* Previous PHP deployment automation is desirable.
* Strong collaboration, written and verbal skills.
* Must love creating awesome documentation!
Nice to have:
* Previous experience with CI/DevOps tools and platforms (i.e., Ansible, Jenkins, Chef, Puppet,) is considered an advantage.
* Some experience/knowledge in monitoring tools is considered an advantage.
What we are looking for is someone who can grasp concepts quickly, has great attention to detail and, most importantly, loves a tech challenge. In short, we are a team of self-confessed geeks who love tinkering and tweaking until something is just right and we are looking for someone who thinks and acts like us.
Location
At Compucorp we are a distributed team and we welcome people to join us from all around the world. However, as a UK-based company, some overlap with UK hours will be required. By default, you should assume that your working hours would be +/- 3h max from GMT start times of 9.00AM UK start time. There is some flexibility in this but please be aware that staff members starting outside of these hours are rare and, as such, if you would expect these hours to be an issue for you then we would not suggest that you apply. Due to EU data protection requirements, DevOps/SysAdmin team members must be from either an EEA country or a country that the EU considers to have an adequate level of data protection. The list can be found at the link below:

About the role
We like to build stuff… sometimes complicated stuff… for Art Galleries, Non-Profits and Charities.
We’re an innovative bootstrapped startup based in London in the UK. We've grown to over 30 staff in the past 2 years based solely on the quality of the work we’ve been producing for our clients and we’re on the lookout for a talented CSS Styling Specialist and Drupal Themer to join our team.
We do things a little differently, basing all our solutions on open source products, having flexible working hours and a real team mentality. Our work covers web design, app development and branding for Charities, Art Galleries and Non-profit organisations across the country. Our clients include Charities such as Wikimedia, Amnesty and Farm Africa, galleries such as the Photographers Gallery and Craft Central but we’ve got a long client list that includes other companies, trade associations and government bodies.
The role will expose you to a really wide range of projects and you can expect to be developing all sorts of web applications, sites and apps for a range of clients. Your principle focus will be in converting complex and challenging designs into responsive pixel perfect themes for the Drupal platform but we also develop other stand alone sites and platforms which will also require your styling expertise. There is also the opportunity to contribute to the design and UX process on a number of fronts and the ideal candidate will help us to achieve the best user experience solutions for our clients.
The ideal candidate will have:
– Excellent HTML and CSS skills including working knowledge of LESS or SASS, Bootstrap or Zurb Foundation and other frameworks etc
– Excellent experience with Drupal themeing (both Drupal 7 and 8 experience a positive)
– Git experience
– Confidence in a PHP based environment
As part a small (but growing) team of 30 you’ll have instant responsibility and an opportunity to learn new skills and explore new technologies.
What were looking for is someone who can grasp concepts quickly, has great attention to detail, and most importantly loves a tech challenge. In short, we’re a team of self confessed geeks who love tinkering and tweaking until something is just right and are looking for someone who thinks and acts like us.
Please note that this is a remote position.

Benefits
* Competitive salary.
