\nSweetRush is looking for a DevOps rock star to play an important role in building, maintaining, and evolving the software, infrastructure, and technologies that drive our products and services.\n\nNOTE: Expertise in Ruby on Rails and Linux Server IT is required. A strong background is essential for this position.\n\nSweetRush has been operating for 14 years and continues to grow. Our IT has been handled by our amazing IT director, and now we need a second, motivated engineer to join this small but critically important team. Our IT team ensures the stability, integrity, and efficiency of our operations and our IT infrastructure.\n\nBut wait! There’s more! Not only will you be working on IT, but you’ll also be creating innovative software to support and optimize our development and production environments.\n\nThis is a remote position and is open to candidates within two or three hours of the U.S.Central time zone (UTC/GMT -6 hours) or who are willing to work during the business hours of these time zones. This is a remote position, meaning you will not be commuting to an office, and so you must have your own office setup.\n\nResponsibilities include: \n\n\n* Participate in the design, implementation, and maintenance of the Ruby on Rails applications that support our products and services (for example: helping to create customized automation and productivity tools for internal applications).\n\n* Provide installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems’ serverside software and related infrastructure.\n\n* Perform daily system monitoring, server resources, systems, and key processes. \n\n* Resolve day-to-day operational issues, ensuring effective and timely resolution.\n\n* Protect and ensure the stability of operational systems, as well as maintain the integrity of the data they contain.
