\nWe like to build stuff… sometimes complicated stuff… for Art Galleries, Non-Profits and Charities.\n\nWe’re an innovative bootstrapped startup based in London in the UK. We've grown to over 30 staff in the past 2 years based solely on the quality of the work we’ve been producing for our clients and we’re on the lookout for a talented Senior/Lead PHP Engineer to join our team.\n\nWe do things a little differently, basing all our solutions on open source products, having flexible working hours and a real team mentality. Our work covers web design, app development and branding for Charities, Art Galleries and Non-profit organisations across the country. Our clients include Charities such as Wikimedia, Amnesty and Farm Africa, galleries such as the Photographers Gallery and Craft Central but we’ve got a long client list that includes other companies, trade associations and government bodies.\n\nYour principle focus will be on developing functionality as part of the CiviCRM and Drupal frameworks for the CiviCRM and CiviHR projects (https://civicrm.org/ and https://civihr.org) but there's a lot going on at Compucorp so expect to be exposed to other technologies too!\n\nWe're looking for someone who can join a great team in mid-flight, have instant results and can help us to create great products for Charities around the world.\n\nWhat we are looking for:\n\nThe ideal candidate will have:\n\n- Expert PHP experience (5 years+)\n- Expert SQL knowledge (5 years+)\n- Comfortable writing PHP unit tests (3 years+)\n- Strong Linux knowledge (3 years+)\n- Strong Git experience (You know your submodules from your subtrees!)\n- Exposure to Symfony a positive\n- Exposure to business applications such as CRM or HR systems a plus\n- Previous exposure to Drupal (especially Drupal 7) a plus\n- Some basic Javascript experience a plus\n\nWhat were looking for is someone who can grasp concepts quickly, has great attention to detail, and most importantly loves a tech challenge. In short, we’re a team of self-confessed geeks who love tinkering and tweaking until something is just right and are looking for someone who thinks and acts like us. \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
