As we grow our team, we are seeking those individuals who are passionate about our mission, and who want to make an impact on our growth and success, and that of the financial services industry, improving the quality of consumer loan commerce for all participants. \nAbout the position \nThis position is responsible for the analysis, design, development, and implementation of automations in the firm's document processing platform (IDEA) utilizing Java, open source, and commercial OCR and automated document classification engines.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities \n Development of workflow automations in the firm's Java/JBoss/JBPM document processing platform\n Development of document recognition automation and OCR utilizing commercial OCR and classification engines\n Advise on architectural strategies and best practice approaches.\n Provide regular updates of project progress and outstanding issues.\n Participate in the design and planning of projects in conjunction with the external partners, other IT, and business users.\n Refactor existing code\nTechnical Skills\n Java Developer (7+ years) with document and/or content management system experience\n Spring Framework\n JBoss Framework\n MySQL and SQL experience in general\n Hibernate\n OCR engine experience (desired, but not required)\n XML , Flat Files (CSV, Fixed-Width)\n MongoDB experience (desired, but not required)\n JSON/BSON\n Web Services (REST)\n XSLT\n Deep experience with best practices in development and architectural styles such as Micro Services, cloud based architecture\n Experience with AWS a big plus, but not essential\nBusiness Experience\n Insurance, Financial, Retail, and/or Logistics industries\n Working with a Team of Skilled Developers\n Experience with Multiple Departments\n Offshore development\n Agile / Scrum\nOther Considerations\n Bachelor's Degree or Java Certification\nPersonal Characteristics\n You must be a team player and able to give and take suggestions\n You must be able to work successfully with overseas developers and developers in other locations\n You must be flexible about hours worked recognizing that some of the work will be done in the evening or weekends\nWORKING CONDITIONS\nFast paced entrepreneurial work environment. \nThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
