Our greatest challenges are on the horizon, and we'll need experienced, intelligent, hard-working and creative minds to solve foundational infrastructure challenges to further establish Hatch as the leading B2C messaging platform.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nYou value collaboration, autonomy, moving fast and getting lots done. We have no time or interest for bureaucracy and micromanagement — we're moving fast and you'll be required to take responsibility for delivering end to end to product.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nYou want to make a huge impact, and share in the success of a company you've helped build.\nYou may be a fit for this role if you\n\n\n* Have a strong technical background, including 8+ years of experience building impactful products or systems\n\n* Have 2+ years of expert-level Go experience\n\n* Have incredible communication skills and are a joy to work with\n\n* Enjoy doing anything it takes to solve problems and see projects through to completion\n\n* Take pride in designing, building, and maintaining APIs, services, and systems at scale\n\n* Find improving engineering standards, tooling, and processes rewarding\n\n* Uphold best practices in engineering, security and design\n\n* Hold yourself and others to a high level of accountability when working with production\n\n* Can effectively debug complex problems across the whole stack\n\n* Enjoy doing whatever it takes to solve problems and delight users\n\n* Have experience with AWS\n\n* Have experience with real-time web - WebSockets / WebRTC\n\n* Have experience with CI/CD\n\n\n\nWhat you will do\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThrive in a collaborative environment developing and executing against immediate and long term roadmaps and making effective tradeoffs considering business priorities, but always with the user experience in mind\nWrite high quality, performant code that sees tons of exposure and user feedback in a growing, fast-pace, startup environment\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAdvise Hatch’s leadership team on key technical considerations related to the future of our technology stack and product roadmap\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTeach and mentor junior ICs to become the next generation of top-tier engineers at Hatch\nInform critical decisions with consideration for software best practices, Hatch’s system design, and product roadmap\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nScrutinize and reason clearly about the technology and architecture choices we make in building platforms or products/services at Hatch\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nServe as a role model for software design and scalable systems architecture by developing, sharing, and setting the bar for engineering quality\n\n\n#Location\n / Remote
