We’re looking for someone who’s confident in bringing solutions to the table.\n\n* But you’re also eager to explore the pros and cons of your ideas through team discussion.\n\n* You may already be familiar with some of the technologies we use and you’re willing to dive into ones that you haven’t used before.\n\n* You may already have experience working on a fully distributed team.\n\n* You’re willing to work collaboratively to come up with incremental approaches to upgrading legacy applications.\n\n\n\n\nYOUR RESPONSIBILITIES\n\n\n* Design and maintain systems that ensure maximum reliability of our suite of applications.\n\n* Work with engineering team to standardize tools and increase efficiency of software development pipeline.\n\n* Work with engineering team to maintain continuity between staging, demo and production applications.\n\n* Insure that our services are being hosted with security in mind.\n\n* Develop plans to migrate existing hosting infrastructure to AWS or similar hosting providers.\n\n\n\n\nANY OR ALL OF THE FOLLOWING ARE INCLUDED IN OUR DEFINITION OF DEVOPS:\n\n\n* Working to improve the collaboration between developers and their tools through automation.\n\n* Working to improve the collaboration between distributed systems that communicate via API and/or Pub/Sub.\n\n\n\n\nWHAT WE VALUE IN SOFTWARE\n\n\n* Simple solutions and determination to implement and see those solutions through.\n\n* Testing - we aim to use Behavior Driven Development starting with the business expectations for the tools we build.\n\n* Writing code for our future selves and colleagues. We’re constantly talking about how to make our code more readable and approachable. We do this using automated code quality tools as well as collaborating on informal reviews of pull requests before work is merged into our master branches.\n\n\n\n\nREMOTE\n\nYou can live anywhere you want (as long as it’s in the U.S. and you have solid English language skills). Fractured Atlas’s headquarters is in midtown Manhattan, so if you happen to be NYC-based and want to work from here, we’ll happily make room for you.
