\nWe're looking for a cross platform/Android developer to help us bring our open source geospatial platform to mobile users. \n\n\nThe world is seeing an explosion in the amount and variety of location-based information. At the same time, open source software is making better analytical tools more widely available.\n\n\nBoundless is at the intersection: we develop open source platforms that make it easier to manage and share geospatial data.\n\n\nThis is a great opportunity to join a growing business, solve interesting technical problems, and wear the mantle of Android ambassador in our fantastic team.\n\n\nResponsibilities\n\n\n\n* Develop mobile components and applications that leverage the OpenGeo Suite\n\n* Work with customers to gather requirements and propose solutions\n\n* Participate in robust open source communities that reward great engineering\n\n* Create documentation and provide technical support, helping users get more out of Boundless software\n\n\n\n\n\nYou Offer\n\n\n\n* Outstanding engineering talent proven by great results and significant open source contributions\n\n* 3+ years of Android development experience, and in-depth understanding of the Android SDK and its apps development ecosystem, including subtle differences between OS versions and manufacturer implementations.\n\n* Ability to contribute in multiple languages. \n\n* A working knowledge of SQLite\n\n* Hands-on experience developing and supporting reusable Android components. You write well-abstracted, reusable and efficient code.\n\n* Interest in teaching and training others on technical topics.\n\n\n\n\n\nNice to Have\n\n\n\n* Knowledge of GIS/geospatial software, particularly PostGIS, GeoServer, and/or OpenLayers\n\n* A familiarity with React/React Native\n\n* A knowledge of functional reactive programming (RxJS, RxJava, Reactive Cocoa)\n\n* Building low latency real time systems\n\n* A knowledge Objective-C, Swift, Java, Javascript with ES6, Clojure\n\n\n\n\n\nWe Offer\n\n\nCompetitive salaries, top-notch benefits (stock options, 3 weeks of vacation, medical/dental/vision, 401k with match), and fantastic colleagues.
