We are looking for an engineer that prides themselves on the code they write and is capable of breaking up big problems into bite sized portions of work. We care about the maintainability of our platform while still maintaining a very productive engineering velocity.\n\nOur platform is built using Elixir & Phoenix for API development and Vue.js for frontend development. This engineer will work alongside other engineers to continue to build on the core platform and verticalize specific functionality.\n\nWe are looking for a remote candidate in European timezones. The role will be fully remote but may require some travel to the company headquarters in Malta (~ 1 week) a couple of times a year. \n\n# Responsibilities\n * Deliver well thought out code on a regular basis\n\n* Take part in and lead code design discussions\n\n* Assist and mentor junior and intermediate level engineers\n\n* Employ TDD to unit tests to ensure delivered features work as expected indefinitely\n\n* Troubleshoot issues and bugs and improve application performance.\n\n* Explore, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency. \n\n# Requirements\n**Requirements**\n\n\n* 3+ years experience working with frontend and backend technologies to build APIs or web apps\n* Deployed at least one service / platform as the lead or senior engineer\n* Firm understanding of TDD and unit tests\n* Experience with HTML, CSS, jQeury\n* Experience with a front end framework (e.g. Vue.js, Angular, React, etc.)\n* 2+ years of Ruby on Rails or Elixir and Phoenix experience\n* Good knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies\n* Experience with functional programming\n\n**Nice to Haves:**\n\n* Experience with Elixir\n* Experience with distributed systems\n* Dev-ops chops\n* Experience with Vue.js \n\n#Salary\n€30000 - €40000\n \n\n#Location\n- 🇪🇺EU-only
