Our Product Development organization nurtures an agile work environment where people with a variety of thoughts, ideas and backgrounds, guided by our shared values, come together to deliver great products and make Paylocity an exciting place to work.\n\nThe QA Engineer Lead has one of the critical roles within each agile team in our Product Development organization. This person is responsible for driving continuous integration & automated testing efforts and instilling ownership of quality across the whole product team.\n\n\nHe/she will work side by side with the entire team to improve overall software quality and provide recommendations for improvement opportunities. The QA Engineer Lead also trains and mentors other QA engineers, assists in QA management activities and influences process improvements across other product teams.\n\n\nResponsibilities and accountabilities:\n\n\n\n* Champion continuous integration & drive the team's automated testing processes to follow best practices.\n\n* Build deep business knowledge of the product and share product and customer insights with the team, including new members of the team.\n\n* Provide training and guidance to other QA and software engineers. Assist the team in test and regression reviews to ensure adequate testing coverage.\n\n* Identify product pain points and prioritize optimal areas for investing automated testing resources.\n\n* Develop and maintain automated and manual test suites and test cases.\n\n* Perform manual user testing and respond to results from automated test runs.\n\n* Oversee the building and maintenance of QA test environments and tools.\n\n* Follow established processes for defect tracking and reporting.\n\n* Provide expertise in evolving the team’s product backlog, release planning and support risk policies.\n\n* Research, evaluate, and recommend new or alternate test tools as needed.\n\n* Update and/or create training or procedural documentation whenever necessary.\n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
