\nOverview\n\nThe Lead Developer will help set the future direction of our Educational Performance Software tool. The ideal candidate will help determine and implement a road-map to improve and modernize the existing product. This developer will be responsible to ensure all team members are following set product directions and proper coding techniques. Must be able to work with a distributed team across multiple time zones. This is a Senior Level position that will work directly with management and product owners to ensure that the product is performing well and meeting customer and business needs.\n\n\nDetails\n\n\n* Minimum 3+ years of performance tuning for a Data Warehouse\n\n* Minimum 7+ years of development experience in .NET technologies using C#\n\n* Minimum 7+ years of development experience with web technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, XML, CSS, ASP.NET\n\n* Minimum 3+ years in Web Services (REST)\n\n* Minimum 3+ years of experience building multi-tier, distributed web or mobile applications, with an emphasis on Responsive Design\n\n* Minimum 5+ years of experience with data modeling, proven experience with MS SQL Server including T-SQL, Stored Procedures, Triggers, DB maintenance\n\n* Thorough understanding of theoretical concepts such as Object Oriented Analysis and Design, Design Patterns and Service Oriented Architecture\n\n* Strong ability to improve existing code to highest performance levels\n\n* Strong problem solving abilities, and ability to pick up and adapt to new concepts quickly\n\n* Strong ability to follow prescribed development standards and to work as a team player and team leader\n\n* Strong understanding of the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)\n\n* Demonstrate leadership, excellent written and verbal communication skills and enable collaboration with the other departments as required\n\n* Collaborate with team members to estimate development tasks\n\n* Complete software programming tasks including development, unit testing, integration testing and documentation\n\n* Effectively collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to resolve defects\n\n* Continuously provide technical improvements to internal tools and libraries\n\n* Manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups or activities using effective judgment for prioritizing tasks and allocating time\n\n\n\n\nWhile the central team is located in the Pittsburgh, PA area, this position can be filled by a remote employee.
