Piktochart is hiring a Frontend Tech Lead to help shape the future of business storytelling in the Innovation team. Besides having technical expertise and knowledge in the Frontend domain, you are someone who is keen on mentoring (note, not managing) a team, as well as ensuring their execution and quality towards achieving the goals.\n\nYouโll have the freedom, trust, and autonomy to do your best work. The Front end team currently consists of 10 developers, split between Innovation, Growth and the Piktostory team (another product line). You will be reporting directly to the CTO.\n\n**Your mission **\n \n1. Strong craft\nCraft includes not just delivering the most bug-free (current and future) code on the planet, but also value that is well-thought of. We implement features on a continuum of progressive enhancements and the Front end team supports this by writing automated tests, clean, maintainable, and efficient code.\n \n2. Problem-solving is your thing\nWe value developers that are user-focused and problem-solvers. To do that, a developer has to be curious and inquisitive about the users and the business. For example, you build a proof-of-concept of fonts and color schemes to enable teams to be on brand, while also recommending the best font and color pairing. We believe that developers and designers should work together, so the developers should actively research and think of good ways to implement a solution.\n \n3. Collaborative work makes the outcome better\nYou thrive in a collaborative atmosphere, working together with product designers and PM, Customer Support, and Marketing on the tasks that need to be done. You actively participate and contribute to discussions around making our product better.\n \n4. Coach the team to constantly give their best and improve\nThe team regularly gets together to discuss code reviews and best practices. You are expected to be able to contribute to those discussions and help lead and coach the teams. While we do not expect any form of performance review, you have to enjoy working with other Front end developers and help them hone their craft.\n\n**What You Offer **\n\nYou have led or mentored front-end developer teams in startups with a similar profile to us (SAAS, remote a plus) and bring an extensive share of strategic learnings & experiences. You have shown how you maintained a strong craft and intend to continue on that path. \n\nThis position is remote, and the candidate has to be in either Asia or Europe. \n\nPlease mention the words **SILENT SQUIRREL METAL** when applying to show you read the job post completely (#RMy4xMzMuMTQxLjY=). This is a feature to avoid spam applicants. Companies can search these words to find applicants that read this and see they're human.\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n

When applying for jobs, you should NEVER have to pay to apply. You should also NEVER have to pay to buy equipment which they then pay you back for later. Also never pay for trainings you have to do. Those are scams! NEVER PAY FOR ANYTHING! Posts that link to pages with "how to work online" are also scams. Don't use them or pay for them. Also always verify you're actually talking to the company in the job post and not an imposter. A good idea is to check the domain name for the site/email and see if it's the actual company's main domain name. Scams in remote work are rampant, be careful! Read more to avoid scams.
