Reporting to the Director of Finance, this hybrid role will focus on end-to-end accounting expertise with financial planning and analysis. The candidate should also enjoy a fast-paced environment and thrive under ambiguity.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Impact You Will Have\n\n\n\nFinancial Reporting and Analysis:\n* Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.\n* Conduct variance analyses to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for management.\n* Assist in the preparation of stakeholder reporting packages, including presentations and KPI visuals.\n\n\n\nBudgeting and Forecasting:\n* Collaborate with departments to develop financial assumptions for annual budgets and operating forecasts.\n* Preparation of budget vs actual analyses, investigating variances, providing explanations, and making adjustments where necessary.\n* Ensure the proper and timely invoicing of all receivables. Management of the accounts receivable subledger and collection for all overdue accounts. \n* Support the Director of Finance in the development of revenue models, expenses, and cash flows.\n\n\n\nCost Analysis and Optimization:\n* Analyze cost drivers and trends to identify opportunities for cost reduction, eliminate redundancies, and process improvement.\n* Work closely with operational teams to develop and implement strategies to optimize resource allocation and improve efficiency.\n\n\n\n\nFull-Cycle Accounting:\n* Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals\n* Administer semi-monthly payroll, payroll reconciliation, and variance analysis, and payroll taxes across various geographic locations.\n* Ensure tax compliance with relevant authorities (sales and excise, payroll)\n* Quarterly commission calculation and reporting to stakeholders\n* Assist with year-end working papers and financial audit\n\n\n\nWhat Are We Looking For?\n* 3+ years experience in Finance, preferably in the Technology sector\n* CPA designation or working towards completion\n* Strong knowledge of ASPE and IFRS\n* High-level attention to detail\n* Self-starter and able to work independently\n* Ability to navigate and prioritize multiple deadlines\n* Working knowledge of QuickBooks or similar accounting software\n\n\n\nYour Work Environment\n* The health and safety of our employees will always be a priority at TealBook.  As such, for the foreseeable future, TealBook is a remote-first workplace.
