\nAt Globavista, we are passionate about our technology. For many years we have been fully remote with empowered developers using their unique skills to bring us forward in the maritime marketplace.\n\nWe are currently growing - in large part due to this ethos.\n\nWe need smart, passionate people to join us in the next evolution of our highly successful product.\n\nIn return you will have 100% home working (flexible hours) on a challenging, interesting product with a very competitive salary + benefits.\n\nJob Description\n\nWe are looking for several candidates, there are 2 main roles we will consider, a full-stack and a front-end specialist.\n\nWe currently have a rich SPA written in AngularJS 1.4+ (with Typescript). This is in the process of being moved over to Angular, so a front-end specialist would be instrumental in driving that forward but also help add new features where necessary to a large complex application.\n\nA full stack developer would need AngularJS experience and Angular would be a bonus for that role.  The full-stack developer will have good .NET skills and excellent SQL Server skills as the nature of our application means we deal with millions of ship positions every hour, therefore a full-stack developer needs to understand coding for performance, especially SQL Server performance.  In addition, as we move our architecture forward, someone well versed in NoSQL dbs would be advantageous.\n\nWe have an ASP.NET MVC website and several services which are in the process of getting containerized. Any full stack engineer that has skills in docker / aws / devops could really make a difference in that area as well.\n\nFront-end specialist candidates will have:\n\n\n* AngularJS / Typescript\n\n* Angular (front-end specialist only)\n\n* Excellent HTML / CSS / LESS or SASS / Bootstrap\n\n\n\n\nFront-end specialist desirable skills:\n\n\n* .NET / C#\n\n* SQL Server T-SQL\n\n\n\n\nFull-stack candidates will have:\n\n\n* AngularJS / Typescript\n\n* HTML / CSS / LESS or SASS / Bootstrap\n\n* Very good T-SQL (including performance, execution plan analysis etc)\n\n\n\n\nFull-stack desirable skills:\n\n\n* Angular\n\n* .NET Core\n\n* Kafka\n\n* Redis\n\n* AWS / Docker / Microservices\n\n\n

## Full-time. Fully remote within CET±2. Still hiring post-Covid! 🎉\n\nJust is a FinTech company building SaaS products for corporate treasury. We help CFOs and finance teams in large multinational companies forecast and manage their financial risk.\n\nWe launched our first foreign exchange analytics solution in August 2019 and already serve +20 major corporate customers and 2 non-profits.\n\nWe’re currently developing a “liquidity forecasting” tool which lets companies forecast how much money they’ll have in the bank in the future, and stress test this forecast against various global events.\n\nWe have a great product development team and are looking for an experienced front-end developer to join us so that we can build top-notch user experiences for our customers more quickly.\n\n### 🎁 What we offer\n\n- Join a FinTech startup at the sweet spot—early enough that you can still help shape the company, but established enough to offer good job stability and growth prospects.\n- 100% remote working, unless you’d like to live in Oslo (it’s nice! 🇳🇴🏔️🌲🏳️‍🌈)—and we’ll buy you some decent home office equipment.\n- Regular opportunities to get together with the whole company somewhere fun 🏖️\n- €65-75k salary, wherever you are—we won’t low-ball you for being in a country with a lower cost of living.\n- Stock options, because we want it to be your company as well as ours 🙂\n\n### 👷🏾‍♀️ What you’ll be doing\n\n- You’ll spend most of your time in the first months developing our liquidity management product—we have customers pre-committed to this, so we’re eager to launch as soon as we can.\n- You’ll primarily be responsible for the web client and GraphQL server, but will likely get involved with other things too.\n- You’ll work with our other engineers to come up with the right overall architecture for our solution, and design gRPC APIs that make sense for the front-end.\n- We’ll want you to develop UI test coverage. We have good automated test coverage of our backend services, and front-end unit tests, but we’d like to start running UI tests with Puppeteer or similar.\n- You’ll also lead the design and implementation of a real-time collaboration feature, using something like ShareDB.\n- We’ll spend time helping you to understand our business and archetypical customer in detail. Our engineers don’t just follow instructions—they have their own vision of the product and are always looking to find ways to do things better.\n\n### ✅ The requirements\n\n- You should have extensive experience developing complex web applications with React, Redux and TypeScript—we’d love to see some cool things you made!\n- You should also have worked with GraphQL.\n- You should be good with CSS and familiar with preprocessors.\n- You’ll need an eye for detail and can build things that don't just work, but look and feel great too.\n- You need to practice modern software development techniques such as unit testing, continuous integration & distributed version control.\n- You need to be within ±2 hours of the CET timezone, because we think remote collaboration is really important.\n- We want you to be a fun person to work with! We believe that working together as a team is the most important thing for success.\n\n### 👍🏾 Also good if\n\n- You have some backend development experience, especially with Go. We support working across the full stack for people who are interested.\n- You've worked with Web Components, using Stencil.js or similar.\n- You have publicly available projects and code that we can take a look at.\n\n### 💾 Technologies we use\n\n- *Frontend:* React, Redux, TypeScript, Stylus, GraphQL\n- *Backend:* Go, Java 11, gRPC, RabbitMQ, Open Policy Agent, PostgreSQL\n- *Platform:* Google Cloud Platform, Docker, Kubernetes\n- *Tooling:* Your choice of new laptop, GitLab, Bazel\n\n### 💌 Applying\n\nFeel free to send us your CV at [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]), along with a link to something cool you've built previously that we can check out.\n\n*(Direct applicants only. We're not open to outsourcing firms or recruiters, sorry.)* \n\n#Salary\n$€65,000 - 70,000\n\n\n#Location\nCET ±2 timezone

**Hi there,**\nWe are hiring Javascript Developers to help evolve our product from an MVP in pilot to a fully-fledged and scalable product. We’re accepting applications for the next few weeks with an ideal start date in early September.\n\n\n**About Scoutbase**\nScoutbase is a tool that helps shipping companies become safer, more productive and generally better workplaces.\nIn a nutshell, we do this by helping companies understand what makes daily work and life on a ship difficult for their crews.\n\nThe reason why this is valuable to maritime companies is that they suffer from a real lack of up to date, honest and actionable data on what’s difficult for their employees — which could even pose a risk to safety at sea!\nThe way we help those companies understand those challenges is by collecting real-time data directly from their seafarers.\n\nRight now we are focused on the maritime industry and on making life at sea safer for the 1.6 million seafarers out there. But we are exploring opportunities for using our technology to tackle the same lack of data in other industries.\n\n\n**About the Job**\nBuilding technology solutions for the maritime industry is challenging, but we already have a good MVP running and in the hands of pilot users. Now we are looking for a talented developer to bring Scoutbase to the next level.\n\nThis means we are looking for someone to take on this challenge and help us evolve our tech — and our company — over time.\n\nYou will pitch in on our product roadmap and come with ideas for new features. You will make sure our product runs smooth and bug-free. You will work on a product that puts a premium on reliability and user experience.\nThis is a job where you will see the impact of your work. Are you truly passionate about web development? Do you hate to compromise on code quality because of clients and deadlines? Then read on! \n\nWe're a product-focused organization, which means our codebase is our baby; it can never become too perfect and we continually push our ambitions upwards. \nWe're also the world's leading User Experience (UX) community—with over 1,5 million monthly visitors—and the biggest course platform for designers on the planet. Forbes Magazine has written about us and, what's more, we teach UX and Design to organizations like IBM and the British Parliament. We can offer you the freedom to shape your work schedule, as well as a priceless opportunity to make an impact on the world—you'll improve hundreds of thousands of lives each year. \n\nWith that in mind, we'd love if you could help us take our codebase to the next level.\n\n# Responsibilities\n You will join our team as a Senior Full-Stack Developer and your main responsibilities will be as follows:\n* Make principal architectural decisions together with back-end and front-end developers.\n* Communicate with our design team, write specifications for the components of the new [IDF Design System](https://s3.amazonaws.com/idfprofilepictures/hiring/IDF+Design+System+-+Proposal.pdf) and implement them. \n* Implement new features by writing readable, maintainable and testable code (using Laravel and/or Vanilla JS/Vue.js).\n* Reuse and improve existing solutions and components.\n* Write automated tests for critical parts of your code. What's more: We are TDD friendly!\n* Adopt the codebase as your baby and constantly refactor it towards perfection.\n\n**A future-proof tech stack**\n* We use the latest stable version of PHP7 because it increasingly offers features like strict type declarations. \n* We leverage the elegance, simplicity and readability of the latest Laravel version and features.\n* We want to spend our precious time on things that matter the most; that's why we perfect our easy to run development environment with Docker, VM and custom scripts. \n* We empower our automated tests with PHPUnit and Laravel Dusk.\n* We support evergreen browsers only 🌲 (ES2015+, grid layout, CSS custom variables, etc).\n* We constantly refactor our front-end code with the goal to reach front-end heaven: \n1.  **VanillaJS** and **Vue.js** for its simplicity and flexibility that comes with a very small size and great performance.\n1.  **PostCSS** to maximize the power of modern CSS.\n1.  **Webpack** for perfect control over front-end assets.\n1.  **Cypress.io** and Jest for automated tests.\n1.  **PWA** with offline experience.\n* Mixed multi-page application and single-page (for the most interactive parts).\n* We️ ❤️ CI (Continuous Integration) and CD (Continuous Delivery) so we usually deploy a few releases per day: Zero downtime. Just a few buttons to push. No sweaty palms. \n* We care about Developer Experience (DX) of our codebase and tools. DX and DevOps is our middle name: git, GitHub, Docker, HTTP2, CDN, AWS and much more. **\n\n**Work conditions**\n* 100% remote full-time work with team trips 1-2 times a year in different places on the planet.\n* Flexible work schedule with minimal meetings.\n* Team of true professionals and smooth onboarding process with a personal mentor.\n* A culture of learning and excellence: \n1. In our code reviews, we constructively reference [specific evergreen principles](https://github.com/InteractionDesignFoundation/handbook/blob/master/library/front-end/clean-code-js.md) of programming to supercharge our learning. \n1. We actively use a library of evergreen literature on [front-end](https://github.com/InteractionDesignFoundation/handbook/blob/master/library/front-end/literature.md) and [back-end](https://github.com/InteractionDesignFoundation/handbook/blob/master/library/back-end/literature.md) development-related subjects. \n1. We believe that building timeless knowledge enables us to see through the hype and focus on what really matters. \n\n# Requirements\n* You have expert knowledge of PHP.\n* You have 6+ years of experience working professionally with OOP + MVC (preferably web technologies).\n* Your work is based on a solid foundation in computer science fundamentals from data structures and algorithms to design patterns. \n* You have substantial experience working with RESTful web services and ORM concepts.\n* You love to learn through doing. You’re ready to put in some hard work to expand your skills.\n* You speak and write to an acceptable level of English.\n* You are a team player and you don't bring your ego to work.\n* You are self-motivated and self-disciplined and thus work well in a flat hierarchy with lots of freedom.\n* You love to have creative freedom, make independent judgments and live up to the responsibility that comes with that freedom. \n* You love to make a positive impact on the world and the lives of others.\n\n#Location\n🌏 Worldwide

Private Business Network is an enterprise VPN and cyber security solution being developed by the makers of Private Internet Access (PIA), one of the world's leading consumer VPN services. We are building a next-generation cyber security product for SMBs that want the ease-of-use of a consumer VPN (On/Off), but need centralized management, powerful web filtering, and end-to-end encrypted audit logging. The product is currently in internal beta and launching later this summer.\n\n\n\nYour challenge, should you choose to accept it, is to lead the development of the backend VPN infrastructure, custom VPN client/server framework, and cross-platform VPN clients. It is full-stack in the truest sense, with roughly a 75% backend and 25% frontend split, although not in the sense of a traditional web app. The frontend consists of VPN clients using webview technologies (custom, not Electron). Knowledge of Win32 and macOS Cocoa will be helpful in making the apps feel at home on these platforms.\n\n\n\nIn addition, there are plenty of opportunities to work on various different parts of the product, including end-to-end encrypted audit logging, cryptographic key management, single-sign on (SSO), device management (MDM), configuration management, and more.\n\n\n\nOur infrastructure is managed with Packer, Terraform, and Docker and we use both AWS and bare metal hosting providers. We're strong believers in a "less is more" philosophy and still use Makefiles and shell scripts with a sprinkle of Python in our build process.\n\n\n\nWe are a fully-remote company, although sometimes our team members like to be in the same part of the world, it is by no means a requirement. Currently, we are just a handful of people, but we want to cultivate a transparent and friendly culture where everybody feels like they are connected and part of a team that is building something awesome!\n\n\n\nCompensation Salary DOE ($120,000 - $150,000 USD) | Health/Dental/Vision paid 100% for U.S. Employees | Flexible Vacation Time | Employer paid STD, LTD, and Life/AD&D | Additional perks if on-site in Denver, CO office, such as lunch/snack and transportation benefits. \n\n# Requirements\n* Cross-platform (native or hybrid) app development experience (macOS, Windows, Linux)\n\n* Familiar with network protocol design, C10K problem, and Go garbage collector highly desired\n\n* Secure systems design experience is a nice to have (cryptography, AWS KMS, Secrets Manager, etc.)\n\n* Experience containerizing applications using Docker (e.g., Kubernetes concepts desired!)\n\n* Familiarity with Curve25519, ECDH, secret sharing, WireGuard, osquery, MDM, etc. are a huge plus! \n\n#Salary\n$$120,000 - $150,000\n

[suture digital](https://sutu.re/) is a software design + development consultancy.\n\nWe work with startups or large companies who need software designed and / or engineered.\n\nWe build apps from scratch sometimes - other times we take a "tech doctor" approach to fixing slow and buggy pre-existing codebases.\n\nAt suture, we're capable of handling the entire process of software engineering, and as such we are seeking software engineering generalists - mostly web focused - to add to our team. \n\n# Requirements\nApplicants should have ~3+ years of experience, majority remote, with a track record of shipping and ability to self-manage to a reasonable degree.\n\nWe are ideally looking for someone with excellent command of both front-end (mostly React+ES6) and back-end (Node, Rails, Elixir) technologies.\nYou should know your way around a unix environment comfortably.\nWe expect that you have a good bit of experience with modern Javascript / ES6.\n\nElixir, GraphQL, Elm and ReasonML are all huge pluses! We like functional programming a lot.

# The short version ⏳\n\n**Mission:**  Enhance the way the world learns.\n\n**Why:**  Learning infrastructure should focus on community, collaboration, conversation - not on being a digital file cabinet 🗄️. \n\n**Who:**  Humble, curious and builder-mentality. 7+ years of full-stack development.\n\n**How:**  React, React-Native, microservices in Node.js, Docker, AWS, Redux, Mongo.\n\n\n# What is [Aula](https://aula.education)? 🐝\n\nAula is a remote-first 40-person team from 12 nationalities building a communication platform for education. Think ‘Slack for Education’.\n\nPowered by an ecosystem of integrations, Aula is the foundational layer in the university tech stack that shapes a whole industry.\n\nWe built Aula because we believe digital infrastructure should encourage community and participation-based learning.\n\nWe’re backed by people like the founder of Unity, CTO at Eventbrite, a co-founder of Zendesk, a co-founder of JustEat and world-class VCs like Project A, BrightEye and Sunstone.\n\n![](http://f.cl.ly/items/3f0B20291K1Q261C1v2C/landingpage-platform.png)\n\n# Engineering @ Aula 🏔️\n\n## What we're building\n\nAula is a conversational platform for education.\nTo get a deeper sense of what that means and how that can foster engaging learning experiences, read more here:\n[Education starts with conversation: how we designed Aula](https://blog.aula.education/education-starts-with-conversation-how-we-designed-aula-126bc1fa8706)\n\n## Our tech stack\n\nA 10 min read from our CTO Oliver: [Bringing educational infrastructure into the 21st century - the stack](https://blog.aula.education/bringing-educational-infrastructure-into-the-21st-century-the-stack-be66b1a743c0)\n\n## Engineering challenges we're working on\n- Building frontend applications that deliver a seamless campus experience across devices (web, mobile, desktop)\n- Creating and maintaining the best infrastructure to deliver educational content and communication in real time.\n- Developing a powerful editor perfectly tailored for the creation of educational material and in-campus communication \n\n## [Product principles](https://blog.aula.education/product-principles-at-aula-398d1a2aa23f?source=collection_home---4------0---------------------)\n- Engagement first.\n- Enable educators to create the most engaging learning experiences.\n- Never more than 1 click away from human interaction.\n\n## Who we're building for \nWe're currently building for educators and students at universities. Someone on the team volunteers to talk about something outside of work that they care about - from board games, to being a classroom teacher to bio-hacking. \n\n### Onboarding 👋\n\nThinking carefully about onboarding is crucial in distributed teams. We've carefully planned and iterated on an onboarding that quickly equips you with the technical knowledge, remote friendships and tips and tricks you need to feel at home and do your best work at Aula.\n\n### How we think about remote 📱\n\nWe see remote work as a creative constraint that forces us to think about what the ideal workplace looks like:\n\n> When 'mobile' became important, their small screens forced product managers, designers and engineers to rethink user interfaces - to remove clutter. This ended up affecting how people built desktop web pages. In the same way, remote work forces us to rethink work in a way that we think many standard office-based workplace could benefit from.\n\n### Benefits\n- **Personal development is part of being 'a high performer'.** You're supported in, and accountable for, your personal growth. You set the direction.\n- **Shared ownership:** Joining the Aula journey means you will own part of the company.\n- **Workspace**: Remote doesn't mean you have to work at home.\n- **Technology:** Get hooked up with the technology you need to do your best work.\n- **Free books:** Whatever you want to read.\n- **Family leave:** We offer enhanced family leave and pay - and a commitment to open, continuous communication.\n- **Travel stipends:** Go meet your colleagues.\n- **Flexible working:** We’re flexible about when and where you work as long as you have 4 hours of overlap with the workday in GMT.\n- **Company retreats**: Every 6 months, we meet up to connect, talk about big ideas and have fun.

\nAt Globavista, we are passionate about our technology. For many years we have been fully remote with empowered developers using their unique skills to bring us forward in the maritime marketplace.\n\nWe are currently growing - in large part due to this ethos.\n\nWe need smart, passionate people to join us in the next evolution of our highly successful product.\n\nIn return you will have 100% home working (flexible hours) on a challenging, interesting product with a very competitive salary + benefits.\n\nWhilst located in the UK, we are now working with major US vendors so would consider US candidates if they were a good fit.\n\nJob Description\n\nWe are looking for several candidates, there are 2 main roles we will consider, a full-stack and a front-end specialist.\n\nWe currently have a rich SPA written in AngularJS 1.4+ (with Typescript).

\nDescription\nAs a well rounded software engineer, you should definitely be the type that appreciates diversity in your day, and challenges outside of your comfort level! A typical day in the life of a PacketFabric senior software engineer might include these types of activities:\n\n\n* Designing a deterministic lifecycle workflow for our next product offering.\n\n* Writing core platform code for a new feature, and unit tests for functionality.\n\n* Refactoring and improving existing code for performance and simplicity. For example, breaking a large method into smaller, more maintainable and easily tested methods.\n\n* Building command line tools to help network engineers better manage network state.\n\n* Researching additional ideas, you may have to improve the product/platform overall and sharing with the team.\n\n* Interacting with customers and/or sales on a bug in the software, quickly resolving it, and coordinating across the team to push a fix.\n\n* Working with backend engineers and discussing quirks in network protocols and network interconnection which translate rapid API and UI changes.\n\n\n\n\n\nRequirements\nThe right candidate will have an abundance of hard core programming skills, have solid instincts for API usability, design patterns and creating beautiful functional web applications. You are probably a full stack developer who naturally gravitates towards front end work. You know how to sacrifice algorithmic elegance for getting it done on deadline. More specifics include:\n\n\n* Extensive experience with Python and PHP in large applications developed in a team environment.\n\n* Expert unit tester.\n\n* Experience in large scale distributed systems.\n\n* Extensive SQL experience.\n\n* Extensive experience with the HTTP protocol and developing and using RESTful APIs.\n\n* A solid understanding of OO programming paradigms.\n\n* Experience with a message queue system like RabbitMQ or Kafka.\n\n* Experience using NoSQL data stores like Redis.\n\n* Experience creating highly maintainable Javascript.\n\n* Experience with Vue.js, Angular and/or AngularJS.\n\n* Previous exposure to layer 2/3 networking protocols and concepts such as IPv4/6, VLANs, VPNs, BGP, etc.\n\n* Be completely at home on any *nix command line and building your own tools.\n\n* Very comfortable using Git in a team environment (i.e. pull-requests, branch management, rebasing).\n\n* Experience working in an environment leveraging remote communication collaboration tools like Slack, Zoom etc.\n\n* Never being afraid to venture boldly where none have gone before and develop code where there are no previous libraries to draw from.\n\n\n\n\n\nPreferred Experience\n\n\n* A huge plus for actually doing any router/switch configuration or infrastructure automation.\n\n* Experience with Python-based web application frameworks like Flask, Django, or Sanic\n\n* Experience writing code that interacts asynchronously with detailed APIs on complex logic flows.\n\n* Any experience interacting with physical world equipment - industrial, medical, etc\n\n* Experience creating large scale data visualizations of any type.\n\n* GraphQL\n\n\n

\nWe are a largely virtual company with major efforts in Austin, TX.\n\nYou’ll be reporting to our lead developer and working with our whole team. We’re all about information marketing so you’ll be working with some of the best in the industry. You’ll be responsible for making sure that our content is delivered to our clients and fast and effectively as possible.\n\n\n\nThis is a work-from-home position, and you will be expected to work about 20-40 hours a week. *We only hire top talent*, and have high expectations... so if you thrive around intelligent, driven people (and just as importantly, you're fun and optimistic) then you'll fit in great here.\n\nHere are some things that we'll expect of you:\n\n- Develop web pages based on set specifications \n\n- Test your pages in different browsers supported by tools(e.g. crossbrowsertesting.com) and provide a self-test report for each\n\n- Coordinate end-to-end tests with Lead Developer and QA team\n\n- Run tests on a sequence of pages to check validity of analytics, conversion tracking pixels, etc. and document test results\n\n- Review work to find bugs and problems\n\n- Reviewing test protocols and improving them\n\n- Setting up Wordpress installations and Wordpress themes\n\n- Adapting Wordpress themes to our needs\n\n- Create and follow a Style Guide to bring consistency to the suite of sites we run\n\n- Replicate the functionality of other sites we send you and reproduce on our own sites.\n\n- Convert PSDs to pixel perfect HTML\n\nAs for your working personality, we expect that...\n\n- You deliver very clean, high quality code\n\n- You like to keep your edge sharp and keep up to date with technology trends and the fast-moving world of web technologies\n\n- You have a broad understanding of how HTML/CSS/jQuery works\n\n- You get the Full Stack and can work with your back-end system peers\n\n- You're able to work on tasks with a quick turnaround time\n\n- You're detail-oriented\n\n- You're regularly available during EST/EDT working hours via Skype\n\n\n...and most important, that you actually think about and review what you've developed. We've worked with far too many developers who send us work that's full of obvious errors in formatting, artwork placement, spacing, and so on. We don't expect you to be a mind-reader, but we expect you to have an eye for making things look 'right'.
