*NOTE: To be considered for a remote position, you need to be based in the U.S. at this time.*\n\nWe need a developer with a solid understanding of modern front end technologies and most importantly, the ability to work as part of a team.\n\nYour primary responsibility will be helping maintain our ecosystem of websites. This involves building pages from scratch based on Illustrator or Sketch designs and making modifications to our WordPress and JAMstack (Jekyll-based) sites. \n\nYour HTML5 & CSS3 skills will shine as you show off optimization and code quality when resolving bugs and issues when they come up. You’ll also work at designing and developing better user experiences and measuring the effect on those through A/B tests.\n\nWe practice good coding standards, we build for the future, and we don’t believe in cowboy coding or working in a bubble. We’re looking for thinkers … with talent. \n\n## What you’ll be doing day-to-day\n\n* Writing code with a focus on performance, speedy page load times,\nimproving conversion rates\n* Building sites and implementing redesigns, designed in Illustrator/Sketch, on our WordPress or static-based sites\n* Coding features for our sites (both through WP Themes and not) using HTML5/CSS/PHP/JS\n* Designing and developing better user experiences and measuring the effect on those through A/B tests\n* Future-proofing our sites with maintenance fixes, updating features, and rolling out responsive, mobile-friendly platforms\n* Conversing, committing, and delivering via Asana/Slack/GitHub/email (in whatever order that is)\n* Exploring new technologies/tools for finding solutions to new (and old) problems\n* Optimizing conversions with A/B testing\n\n## Application Architecture (things you’ll HAVE to know)\n\n* Experience with static site generators like Jekyll, Gatsby, or Hugo\n* Fundamental PHP experience especially as it relates to maintaining WordPress themes and websites\n* Semantic HTML\n* Sass, Bourbon, etc. (or other CSS pre-processor)\n* CSS Frameworks (Bourbon/Neat, Bootstrap, etc… we roll our own, btw)\n* JavaScript & jQuery skills\n* Experience with build and package management tools like Gulp, NPM, Bower, etc\n* Structured Data (gotta satisfy the Googles)\n* Advanced understanding of all the cool buzzwords… SEO, Web-standards, accessibility and usability concepts, information architecture, UX & UI design (heavy on the UX)\n* Good communication skills & a great can-do attitude (We’re totally serious about this one.)\n* A GitHub account or experience with other version control (SVN, CVS, etc. … but git/gh is where it’s at)\n \n## Tech Stack\n\n**Must Know:**\n* Jekyll, Liquid (templating)\n* HTML, CSS\n* JavaScript, JavaScript, JavaScript, jQuery\n* PHP, WordPress, MySQL\n\n**Prefer to have:**\n* Ruby\n* CI/CD\n* Google Analytics/Google Tag Manager/Google Optimize\n\n**Bonus:**\n* JAMstack (Jekyll, Gatsby, Hugo)\n* JavaScript (Vanilla, React, jQuery, ES6)\n* Node.js, Express, React\n* Build Tools (Gulp, Webpack)\n* AWS Lambda, RDS, Firebase, Netlify\n* MongoDB, GraphQL, and Apollo\n\n## Pluses\n\n* Chris Coyier is a hero of yours.\n* You’ve hosted a website with Netlify, Forestry, or a similar service\n* You have converted a WordPress website to Jekyll, Hugo or another static site\n* You know the entire CanIUse library inside and out.\n* You want to teach as much as learn.\n* You have a pixel-perfect design eye with Photoshop/Illustrator or Sketch skills to match. It’s going to come in super-handy.\n* You read sites like SmashingMagazine.com and actually put tutorials into practice.\n* You’ve attended a WordCamp, Meetup, or other industry conference.\n \n## Human Environment\n\n* Located in University District of Seattle\n* Cool office perks (free sodas/Topo Chico/coffee, snacks, etc.)\n* Generous salary considerations & full benefits\n \n## What We Value\n\nWe love to work as a team but office hours are flexible. Producing is more important than meeting a “9 to 5” schedule. We understand there are moments when you need to isolate yourself to concentrate so working from home is permitted and encouraged. We like to have a good time and minimize stress with good in-office coffee, lounge/reading time and regular happy hours. We work hard and meet realistic deadlines. What good is delivering a poor product early?\n\nOneCare is committed to bringing together individuals from diverse backgrounds and perspectives. We strive to create an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive and be their authentic self, feel a sense of community, and do great work together. We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer open to all qualified applicants regardless of race, color, ethnicity, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity or expression, Veteran status, or any other legally protected status.\n\n## Perks\n\n* 401K (+ company matching)\n * Medical, dental, and vision is covered by OneCare.com for the employee\n* Unlimited Paid Time Off\n* flexible schedule\n* opportunities to work remotely\n\n#Location\n🇺🇸 US-only

Hello there!\n\nAre you ready for a really ambitious position as a .NET team-lead at Likvido? \nAnd yes, the role is *fully remote*.\n\nLikvido is a (very) fast-growing startup. We are 25 employees now, and we have just raised a seed round to realize our huge ambitions for the coming years. \n\nWe’re now looking for a senior & experienced .NET team-lead to lead our application team.\n \n**So what are we doing?**\n\nWe’re helping small companies succeed.\n\nWe’ve built an “Invoice CRM” - imagine a system like Hubspot / Pipedrive / Salesforce, but for your invoices. You can assign workflows, add todos, write notes and much more. We’re currently only in Denmark, but the platform is international and ready to scale internationally in 2020.\n\nOn top of the “Invoice CRM”, we’re going to launch financial products. Imagine, when you create the invoice - we will automatically pay our client the majority of the invoice - RIGHT away! BEFORE their client even paid! How cool is that?\n\nThis is possible because we have full control of the payment flow, and we have a very large data-set our data scientists are using for transaction-level credit ratings. This makes it possible to only provide loans on low-risk invoices.\n\nThe goal is to help small companies succeed. We have ~1.250 customers right now, and we’re adding 1-200 customers every month. In a few years, we should have millions of invoices through the system every month.\n\n\n# Responsibilities\n Our platform is ~18 months old. We have a big monolith ASP.NET MVC application, combined with 4 solid ASP.NET Core microservices. Everything is hosted in Azure and Github, and we use many of the Azure products, including Azure DevOps. \n\nWe’re 5 full-time fully remote developers, and 4 part-timers. We plan to double the team in 2020.\n\n**The job:**\nWe’re going to make 2 development teams. One team is responsible for the microservices, another is responsible for the “Invoice CRM” application. We already have a great team-lead for the microservice team, and now we’re looking for \nanother great team-lead for the application team.\n\n**Being the team-lead, your job will be:**\n* Solve the hardest technical challenges in the code - you’re expected to code roughly 50% of the time\n* Manage the bi-weekly sprints - it’s your job to make sure the sprints are successful and Github (our issue system) is always updated\n* Make pull request reviews (or request another team member to do so)\n* Make core technical & architectural decisions on the platform\n* Release code & make sure the releases go well\n \nYou will be working closely together with our product manager, our client success manager, our operations manager and me - the CTO. \n\nAs a CTO, it’s very important for me to get out of the day-to-day operations of development. I will still be heavily involved, but if I’m away for a few weeks - all the sprints & activities should not be affected. Your job is to make this possible. \n\nYour job is to make me obsolete day-to-day.\n \n\n# Requirements\nWe’re looking for someone who can say “YES!” to the following:\n\n* I’m a senior developer with many years of experience, with prior experience in managing a team and running sprints\n* I’m a real senior & experienced backend .NET / C# developer\n* I’m not faint of heart, and I’m ready for a very ambitious role\n* I’m cool with spending at least 4 weeks per year (preferably 6-8 weeks) in the Copenhagen office, starting with 2 weeks when hired\n* I’m working within +/- 3 hours of CET (Central European Timezone)\n \nA last note. Likvido is not an easy choice. We will have sky-high expectations, you will be challenged and you will have lots of responsibilities. \n\nTo compensate for this, we offer a competitive salary and a remote leadership position.\n\nSo without further ado: If you consider yourself a top .NET developer, and feel like having a very ambitious role is the next step in your career - APPLY!\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n$75,000/year\n\n\n#Location\n🌏 Worldwide

Hello there!\n\n\n\nYou should start out by watching this video I made JUST for this job-post:\n\nhttps://www.loom.com/share/670650aba7194718a3e3b4c8bcdb314a\n\n\n\nHere I explain what we are doing in detail :)\n\n\n\n**Here is the text-version**:\n\n\n\nThis is not your typical job-post, because guess what, we’re not a typical company. You see, at Likvido, we’re about to face some VERY interesting challenges, and we need you on our team to absolutely smash those challenges.\n\n\n\nSince we launched Likvido in April 2018, we’ve absolutely killed it. Not only do we now have 500+ customers - among many of the hottest startups and scaleups in Denmark - we also managed to get very serious funding, have very good unit economics and built a really cool technical platform. However, we’re just getting started.\n\n\n\n**So what are we doing?**\n\nWe are solving the biggest reason for companies going bankrupt in Europe. You see, 19 % of all invoices are paid late, and roughly half of all bankruptcies are caused by lack of cash. \n\n\n\nLikvido is defining a new category we’re calling a “customer payment system”. Today you integrate Likvido with your accounting system, and then we automate sending out invoices, send our reminders, start debt collection and post back to the accounting system. Looking ahead, we will add financial products, give the whole organization access to our system and much more. In brief, we help companies get paid - on time - and forecast their cash flow.\n\n# Responsibilities\n The platform is ~12 months old. We have a big monolith ASP.NET MVC application, combined with 3 solid ASP.NET Core microservices. Everything is hosted in Azure and Github, and we use many of the Azure products, including Azure DevOps. Yeah, we’re a startup, but we do have hundreds and hundreds of tests.\n\n\n\nThe platform is built by me, the author (you thought it was an HR person writing all along, didn’t you?). I’ve studied at the Technical University of Denmark, and I have built this kind of stuff before - and trust me - the platform is solid and not burning.\n\n\n\nWe're a remote development team (2 people in Russia, 1 in Ukraine and then a bunch of freelancers). \n\n\n\nThe job:\n\nWe need to be a part of the full-time development team, and develop a lot of features. Some example features:\n\n\n\n- We need to launch internationally\n\n- Split our frontend and backend apartment, so we have a “real API”\n\n- We need to support ie multiple payment methods, data-providers, letter-senders, accounting systems\n\n- We need to professionalize our operations team (ie. full CD/CI, dashboards, application insights, logging)\n\n- Lots and lots of specific features our clients are screaming us for\n\n\n\nWe are in the situation that if we had out full 2019 roadmap ready, we could 10x our size because clients would use our product so much more. We have definetely hit product-market fit and just need great code. \n\n# Requirements\nWe’re a quite realistic bunch at Likvido: you don’t need 8 years of experience in some JavaScript framework that was invented in 2015...\n\n\n\nInstead, we’re looking for someone who:\n\n\n\n- Has 2-4+ years of experience as a developer in .NET technologies\n\n- Experience with building web-based platforms (ie MVC frontend and .NET in back)\n\n- You're a mature developer that tests your own code\n\n- Have a strong sense of scaleable architecture\n\n\n\nSo if you consider yourself a top .NET developer, please apply!

At 96 Problems the code drives design. This means that things don't start with a "pixel perfect" PSD, but a rough wireframe. \n\nFollowing a first implementation, developer feedback is taken in drafting a final design. We do try to add small design details that make a difference, but are reasonable in cutting them down or out to make development smoother.\n\nOn our [Join The Team Page](http://96problems.com/join-the-team) you can learn more about our story and why you may want to be a part of it!\n\nExtra tags: iOS, Swift, Mac, mobile

This means everything you do will positively affect the lives of thousands of software developers and operations teams around the world.\n \nRead our employee handbook our people repository to discover what it's like working at Octopus.\n \nAlready seen enough? Apply and have a real conversation with a key leader from our team.\n \nYou will join one of our development teams to work on Octopus Server, Octopus Cloud, and our commercial platform. We shape, bet, and build using a method inspired by Shape Up. We work in 8-week cycles, focusing on directed work for 6-weeks, and "sharpening the saw" with undirected work for 2-weeks at the end of each cycle. We remove unnecessary obstacles so you can work directly with customers who are developers just like us. Our teams are software tradespeople who care about doing things right the first time. You will probably be surprised at how collaboratively we work both inside and across our teams, even though our teams work remotely. We take pride in our hard-earned, friendly, consensus-building, and ever-improving remote-first culture.\n \nWorking at Octopus may be different from any other job you’ve had before. In many companies, software engineers are treated as an expense to reduce or a revenue stream to increase. In contrast, Octopus is a product company built from the ground up by engineers, for engineers. At Octopus your effort will be appreciated because you are adding value to our products, which are our assets. Also, our customers are people just like us. This makes it easy to relate to our customers and understand what they care about most.\n \nOctopus is not done. Many of us came to Octopus thinking “it does everything I want, how can I possibly help?” Continual changes in the software landscape present a constant stream of opportunities for us to explore. We will continue to make Octopus the best tool in its class by increasing the value Octopus offers, pushing into new territory beyond deployment automation, all the while making Octopus easier and more delightful to use for both simple and complex scenarios alike. If you like solving distributed computing problems, building delightful user experiences, or anything in between, you can do that with us.\n \nOctopus is not a startup. We do not need venture capital, we have been a sustainably profitable business from day one. We care about building a sustainable company and we do this by helping customers succeed, leaving increased revenue as a happy byproduct.\n \nKeep reading if you want more details about the job. Otherwise, apply and have a real conversation with a key leader from our team.\n   A typical day might include\n\n\n* Working where you work best, perhaps in a home office designed by you, using a device of your choosing, with or without music, in an atmosphere you create for yourself.\n\n* Changing source code hosted in GitHub, most of it in the open, collaborating on a pull-request, then shipping a release to customers around the world via an automated build, test, and delivery pipeline, often within the same day.\n\n* Handling an inbound support ticket from a customer, helping them succeed with Octopus, or offering advice to a customer in our community Slack workspace.\n\n* Pairing with another software engineer or a support engineer to help them reproduce a tricky problem, helping them understand the inner workings of Octopus in the process so they can be more helpful to even more customers over time.\n\n* Pairing with another engineer on a Zoom call to solve a complex technical problem or design a new feature.\n\n* Fixing a bug using an approach like red-green-refactor to prevent customers from experiencing that bug again.\n\n* Improving our documentation to help customers discover solutions for themselves, and learn how to use Octopus for more complicated workflows.\n\n* Writing a blog post about something interesting for other developers, or explaining a new feature of Octopus.\n\n\n\n\nYou will be a great fit for this role if\n\n\n* You are an experienced individual contributor or leader in your current job.\n\n* You have a firm grasp of the software trade using any language or toolset but preferably C# and TypeScript.\n\n* You are comfortable making good decisions with general concepts like dependency, extensibility, and compatibility; and perhaps you are a specialist in an area of software engineering.\n\n* You enjoy automating things like builds, tests, deployments, infrastructure, and operational tasks.\n\n* You are able to work independently, motivating yourself to do high-quality work on time, communicating with your teammates when you need help or when you are ready for something new.\n\n* You enjoy collaborating with other people to solve problems, challenging each other to discover the best solution for a problem, using a balance of passion, pragmatism, and empathy.\n\n* You are a results-oriented person, someone who is focused on iteratively delivering valuable things to your customers, someone who willingly changes direction based on clear and transparent business information, and someone who helps others do the same.\n\n\n\n\nYou will enjoy this role if\n\n\n* You are a software consultant or contractor looking to invest your effort into a successful and lasting product.\n\n* You are a software team lead looking for a better balance of coding and leadership.\n\n* You are a valuable individual contributor looking to expand your horizons with a world-class software company.\n\n* You like a balance of freedom and responsibility, being treated as an adult.\n\n* You want to do the best work of your life with other like-minded people.\n\n* You enthusiastically accept radically candid feedback, feedback that is thoughtful, timely, and directly actionable, and offer the same benefit to others.\n\n* You enjoy solving complex distributed computing, automation, security, performance, and usability problems.\n\n* You like working with great tools like the latest versions of C#, .NET, TypeScript, and React, in the development environment of your choice.\n\n* You like working with customers directly, helping them be successful with Octopus, even if success proves to be elusive.\n\n* You enjoy doing things the right way from the very beginning knowing you are working on a valuable asset.\n\n\n

\nApply your .NET skills as a developer within a multi-disciplinary A-team of experts. Day to day, you'll be collaboratively solving problems, architecting solutions, and expanding your mastery of CMS web development. If you are a tenacious problem-solver who thrives when digging deep into code and complex data sets, you will fit right in.   \n\nWe specialize in the design and development of enterprise .NET websites, so experience working with a.NET content management system (Ektron, Episerver, Umbraco, Sitecore, etc.) is required.  \n\nSTRATEGY, DESIGN, AND DEVELOPMENT AS A TEAM SPORT.\n\nWhen you become a .NET developer at Diagram, you'll get assigned to an account team with a strategist at the helm. Each team is responsible for working with a small group of clients, understanding their business goals, and building out a strategic roadmap to help push them forward. In your role, youcan expect a healthy mix of writing code, gathering requirements, participating in design critiques, architecting solutions, and coordinating with your team and clients. Each account team operates autonomously, meaning that the strategies your team propose will drive the work you do—what you can accomplish is limited only by your collective ideas and abilities. \n\nLET’S GET TECHNICAL\n\nThe incredibly complex nature of the web projects we take on demand a wide range of technical prowess from our development leads. As a Diagram Web Developer, you'll need to demonstrate expertise in the following areas:\n\n\n* Programming Languages: C#\n\n* Microsoft Web Frameworks: ASP.NET, MVC, Razor, Web API\n\n* Database Solutions: SQL or TSQL\n\n* Strong understanding of core development concepts: Object-Oriented Programming (OOP),relational database concepts, Inversion of Control (IoC), and Dependency Injection (DI)\n\n* Integrating third-party solutions through Web Services or other messaging frameworks\n\n* Basic knowledge of IIS and setting up local sites\n\n* Using Git and version control\n\n* Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and other JavaScript frameworks\n\n\n\n\nA HOME FOR DEDICATED PROFESSIONALS\n\nOur organizational model involves building out small collaborative teams that kick ass. If you work best when you're handed a blueprint and left alone to build in solitude for weeks on end, you might not be a good fit. Diagram developers prefer to be in the mix of things and would rather contribute to solving real problems with code than to just take orders. You are naturally curious, eager to learn, and play nice with others. As a developer at Diagram, you are treated as a professional, working with other professionals for common goals.Day to day, some of your responsibilities will include:\n\n\n* Work with modern hosting technologies: Azure DevOps, CI/CD, AWS, Episerver DXC, Umbraco Cloud\n\n* Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve issues on enterprise client websites\n\n* Adapt to and learn new and emerging .NET/CMS technologies\n\n* Communicate and convey technical concepts to clients, team members, and project managers\n\n* Contribute to functional requirements and technical documentation\n\n* Work both independently as well as collaboratively within a team\n\n* Propose and architect technical solutions that help drive our clients forward\n\n* Estimate effort for development tasks\n\n\n\n\nWORKING AT DIAGRAM\n\nDiagram is a digital consultancy focused on design, development and marketing. We work with a small, exclusive set of client partners. It’s our goal to help them grow by developing strategic digital roadmaps and executing on it. We have a distributed team, with the bulk of our team based in Aurora, IL. We also have co-working space available in Fulton Market. We’ve been around since 1995. We're a fun, committed group of professionals dedicated to helping each team member produce the best work of their lives. We also offer great health benefits, a 401k plan with company matching, free lunches on Wednesdays, and other sweet perks.\n\nCROSS-FUNCTIONAL TEAMS\n\nNo more hand-offs. Work collaboratively as part of one of our multidisciplinary teams. You’ll be contributing to ideation and decisions at all stages, actively shaping the design of everything you work on.\n\nOPEN PTO POLICY\n\nWe respect work-life balance and recognize that flexibility is key. Coordinate within your team, keep up with your work, take time off when you need it. We don't restrict or limit the amount of time off team members take. 'Nuff said.\n\nCHALLENGING WORK\n\nWe thrive when data is messy, problems are complex, and innovation is needed. We strive to push boundaries and continually ship value for a limited number of retainer clients. We're not a one and done shop. We value long-term client partnerships and iterative improvement.\n\nInterested in becoming a part of a world-class team at Diagram?\n\nTo Apply: To apply for this position, please send something that you feel communicates your expertise and what you're all about. \nAt BloodHub we are focused on helping blood centers and hospitals maximize the efficiency of their interactions.   Our project managers work closely with our customers to identify their business objectives.  These business objectives are then presented to the engineering team for implementation. As an experienced full stack developer you'll have latitude to present a solution you feel maximizes the business objectives while maintaining the integrity of the system.\n\nOur team is remote and this allows engineers to work flexible hours at a place of their choosing.  We first try to put out any fires (there aren't many), quash bugs and then build features.  We lean heavily on test harnesses to minimize regressions and CI to maximize automation. We avoid meetings and regard email as a necessary communication tool.  The languages we use are mostly Ruby on Rails, Javascript, and CoffeeScript.  PostgreSQL is our main data store while MS-SQL is used for customer integrations. The tools we lean on are Cucumber, Rspec, GitHub and CircleCI.  Our migration to the Google Cloud platform is underway.\n\nYour average day will start with checking in with the team and making sure no one has any immediate needs.  Usually there aren't any. You'll then be able to focus on your engineering tasks. As a full stack engineer this will include direct engineering work on the product, SQL based client integrations, code reviews and DevOps related work. You will be expected to make progress in a self-directed fashion without micromanagement. At the end of each day you should feel good about your work product, the company's direction and enjoy your free time.\n\nYou need to be eligible to work in the United States.  If you're interested please submit your resume. We will try to respond to all submissions.  Please be aware that there is a real human on the other end of this transaction so if you spam the job listing don't be surprised if you get ignored.

\nSweb Development is seeking an experienced web developer based in or within driving distance of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. This position reports to the Chief Production Officer.\n\nQualified candidates will have several years of experience in front end and PHP development, with a strong desire to join a small and nimble team where collaboration, creative problem solving, and professional growth are consistently valued.\n\nOur ideal candidate has expertise in all or most of the following:\n\n\n* Modern front-end web development, including: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery\n\n* Responsive WordPress development, including developing custom WordPress plugins and themes and working with the WordPress REST API\n\n* Developing and maintaining basic custom RESTful APIs, written in PHP\n\n* [More infrequent; ideal but not required] Deploying LAMP applications to Amazon Web Services (AWS), particularly using Cognito, Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, and SES\n\n* Maintaining source control through GIT\n\n\n\n\nOur ideal candidate is knowledgeable but humble. They have a deep understanding of the trade-offs involved in a large project: budget, time, client expectations, performance, business objectives, maintainability etc. They are a solid team player who wants to support everyone else in the company to achieve our clients’ goals. They are patient and excited about helping junior team members learn and grow. Most of all, our ideal candidate has an open mind and a passion for problem-solving\n\nThis role involves approximately:\n\n\n* 60% greenfield development — building new modern WordPress sites, APIs, and custom web applications (often built atop WordPress)\n\n* 20% problem solving with other members of our design, development, and project management teams — tackling particularly difficult bugs or challenging requirements in new or existing sites\n\n* 10% maintaining existing sites in our portfolio, including bug fixes, enhancements, and optimizations/technology upgrades\n\n* 10% analysis and research for new business prospects and proposals — determining feasibility and scope, researching potential alternatives, and identifying risks\n\n\n\n\nThe developer must be capable of clearly and empathetically communicating with our team: discussing potential approaches to a new project with the business development team; understanding design goals with the creative team; working with the project management team to manage deadlines, budgets, and roadblocks. Our ideal candidate writes clearly, expresses their ideas well in client or internal meetings, and strives to put themselves in the client’s (and the client’s customer’s) shoes.\n\nOur team leans on all of our developers to collectively determine code style, recommended open-source and third-party components, and implement business and design goals to achieve performant and high quality sites, web apps, and APIs.\n\nThe developer takes responsibility for the quality of their code and works diligently to identify and resolve bugs and defects before handing a project over to other testers. This role is the trusted emergency responder in rare instances when catastrophe strikes and a site goes down or a large issue is uncovered that requires urgent attention.

At Citrusbyte, learning new languages and technology, in general, is part of the job, and you should always be able to answer the question: "what have I learned this week?"\n\nWe believe that less is more and we vehemently value simplicity. This is reflected in the tools we choose to work with. For this reason, we tend to avoid using big frameworks like Spring/Struts, and instead lean towards smaller, more focused tools.\n\nWe have also done projects in Ruby, Elixir, Node.js, Go, Python, Lua, etc. We strive to learn new tools and languages every day. We believe in always choosing the right tool for the job and we are very open-minded about trying different technologies.\n\nSkills & Requirements:\n\n\n* Smart, gets things done.\n\n* Excellent communication skills.\n\n* Consulting experience.\n\n* Passionate about software development.\n\n* Experience working in a highly distributed company.\n\n* Open minded and always learning.\n\n\n\n\nDuties & Responsibilities:\n\n\n* Architect and build web applications.\n\n* Work with product designers and clients to clarify requirements, prototype functionality and build products.\n\n* Plan, estimate and prioritize work in a collaborative and distributed team.\n\n\n

\nIntroduction \n\nWe have a platform that helps banking institutions and government regulators catch the fraudsters that affect the global economy.\n\nWe are looking for C# developers to join our development team in order to grow together as people and as professionals.\n\nWe pride ourselves in doing modern software development with modern tools and processes and also on continuously improving (at a varying pace, we must admit) in all areas.\n\nWe look for people with broad interests and a focus on solving problems and understanding that languages or technologies can be interchanged in most situations and are not really the goal, but the means.\n\nIf this sounds interesting, please keep on reading, we would love to meet you.\n\nRole\n\nA developer in the team adds features, fixes bugs and builds unit and integration tests. The developer also participates in the maintenance of environments both locally and in the cloud all the while following our - currently Kanban based - development process.\n\nRequirements\n\n\n* Willingness to learn and to teach (the most important requirement)\n\n* Knowledge of any OO language, although C# is a plus. We will teach you if you don’t know it.\n\n* SQL knowledge, no matter which flavor you know. We will teach you whatever else is necessary about data storage, but you need to understand the relational model.\n\n* Communication and people skills.\n\n* Interest in problem solving.\n\n* Good time management.\n\n* English command: We do standups in English, write all stories and documentation in English and the communication with our customers mostly happen in English as well. We don’t require a C level but you need to be able to communicate, in writing and in speech.\n\n\n\n\nPlusses\n\n\n* You have experience with any VCS, ideally distributed (git, hg)\n\n* Experience as DevOps, if you don’t have any, we will teach you what you need to know, you only have to put the interest.\n\n* You know and apply SOLID principles, ideally having experience working with Unity (not the 3D engine, the dependency injection framework).\n\n* You have unit tested your code.\n\n* You have availability to work abroad temporarily.\n\n\n\n\nOur offer\n\n\n*  A competitive salary\n\n* Full-time job, permanent contract\n\n* Training\n\n* Teleworking\n\n* Sports activities\n\n* A great environment to grow while having fun.\n\n* With us, you can get into the world of unstructured data processing and learn about how big enterprises work from outside and, for short periods (like proof of concepts or deployments) from inside.\n\n\n

\nWe are looking for an experienced full-stack JavaScript developer to work with a well-established application. We are looking for a long-term relationship.\n\nOur current technology stack is:\n\n\n* Node (using express)\n\n* AngularJS\n\n* React\n\n* MongoDB (interfaced with Mongoose)\n\n* Python (CherryPy and Flask)\n\n* MySQL\n\n\n\n\nThe majority of the development work is being done in JavaScript. Some supplemental development will take place in Python. Experience with web scraping is a plus, although not required for the position.\n\nWe write our JavaScript code exclusively using ES6/ES7, and are looking for a candidate that has an understanding of common ES6/7 patterns and technologies. This understanding should be built on a comprehension of the underlying technology, such as generators, promises, and other ES5 patterns.\n\nWe are moving towards complete unit test coverage, developed using mocha/chai with expect. All new code should be checked in with a unit test. \n\nWe use Git as version control, and expect a pull request to be made daily, even if work is not done. This is so that the senior developers can review the work and make sure that everyone is on the right track.\n\nAlthough not strictly necessary, basic CSS knowledge is a definite plus. We use a SASS compiler in developing the CSS.\n\nIf you do not know every piece of our tech stack but are willing to learn, we would be happy to consider you based on your level of experience with other technologies. However, you must have the necessary experience to learn our stack quickly and be able to produce independently.\n\nA solid candidate will understand the importance of communication and be able to function effectively as part of a team. There is already a significant amount of code, some of which is complex (and even confusing), and candidates would need to be able to read and work with difficult code. At the same time, we strongly encourage our developers to approach senior developers frequently and ask questions, both to fortify their understanding and to gain an understanding of functionality which is non-obvious. \n\nIf you feel that you may fit the description above, please reach out to us and we can a conversation.\n\nWe're also interested in you as a person. During the interview, we'd like to discuss: \n\n* What is the project, professionally or hobby, which you are most proud of? What went into the development of this project?\n\n* How do you handle high-pressure situations? Let's say the production server goes down, but all unit tests are passing. How would you go about determining the source of the error?\n\n* How would you handle an environment comprised of multiple services? Discuss how you would most effectively receive data from customers using a REST API, pass that data off to another service for calculation, and then get the data back to the customers.\n\n* What about JavaScript do you consider to be its single best feature? What about its single worst feature? How do you use this knowledge in your development?\n\n* What is your ideal team management philosophy. Do you believe in agile development, or something else? How often should communication take place, and what does that communication look like?\n\n

You should have a rational, scientific approach to problem solving – if you are not comfortable solving a problem with access to a pile of well-thumbed manuals and StackOverflow, then this role may not be for you!\n\nBased across two sites in the beautiful, if occasionally damp, West Yorkshire, you will have the opportunity to work in both our bustling head office (Leeds) and our more sedate web-team-only office (Hebden Bridge), giving you the best of both worlds when it comes to your working environment.\n\nBut why work for us? A good computer, interesting projects, fish and chips and a start-up atmosphere were just some of the reasons given when we put this question to the team. Oh, and a Nintendo (of course)!

\nSwyfft is a fast-moving insurance company that totally gets why people don't normally use "fast-moving" and "insurance company" in the same sentence - and wants to change that.\n\nYou know the drill: we need an experienced and flexible operations engineer to help manage every aspect of our runtime systems. Swyfft’s business is cloud-centric (we run on Azure), distributed (nearly everyone in Tech is remote) and data-heavy (we’re in the insurance industry, so of course). As a startup with certain overriding concerns, our infrastructure has grown, shall we say, “organically”, and we need someone who not only can spin up VM’s in Azure, but who knows and cares about the best ways to organize, architect and script them. We need to integrate everything we’re doing into Active Directory, secure our infrastructure, plan for disasters, track software licenses, and figure out how to scale our backend databases. (This is not primarily a DBA position, but the more experience you have with SQL Server in its various flavors, the better.)\n\nEventually we’ll have a whole team working on this stuff, but you’ll be the first.\n\nSkills & Requirements\n\nAn experienced and flexible systems engineer who has shown that they can:\n\n\n* Architect, build and support cloud-based systems\n\n* Write quality documentation\n\n* Implement best practices around security and disaster recovery\n\n* Engineer for scalability and uptime\n\n* Work with developers\n\n\n\n\nYou'll need to have recent hands-on experience with key components of Swyfft's operational stack:\n\n\n* Windows (server and desktop)\n\n* Azure\n\n* SQL Server\n\n* Active Directory\n\n* Powershell\n\n\n\n\nOh, and you have to be a reasonably nice person. Life is already too short: we want to work with people we like.

\nAbout the Job\n\nWe work in Ruby, JavaScript, SQL, CSS and HTML. We use frameworks (RoR, Ember, React) and language extensions (Sass, Haml, CoffeeScript), but known they come and go. You will work as a trusted peer on a small team to implement new features. We all work on each layer in the stack, and we all fix bugs between feature releases. We all help each other. We use agile methods (yes really use them, not just use the tools and call it agile). We deliver features in two to four week sprints.\n\nWe are looking for a talented software engineer committed to his or her craft to become a key member of our small growing team. You can work locally, in our beautiful small city (Traverse City MI), or remotely. Remote employees must have a four or more hour overlap in work hours with the eastern time zone (EST/UTC-5).

\nAs a Senior Ruby Developer at FindHotel, you will help to develop and improve our high-performance website FindHotel, scaling up web traffic from 2M+ visitors to 10M by the end of the year.\n\nWhat you tell your friends you do\n\n'I am a great Ruby developer who can make run code safely yet fast as lightning!'\n\nWhat you will really be doing\n\n\n* Building a high-performance website, helping scale up web traffic from 2M+ visitors to 10M by the end of the year;\n\n* Developing our own APIs and deploy them as independent services;\n\n* Integrating our product with internal tools and APIs (e.g. event tracking, A/B testing) built either by us or other squads at FindHotel;\n\n* Building the right suite of monitoring and alerting system, in order to have both the helicopter view and the magnifying glass at hand whenever needed;\n\n* Improving the code base, architecture, infrastructure, and overall quality of our product, in order to deliver a great experience to each and every one of our users.\n\n\n\n\nHow will you be doing this?\n\n\n* You are an experienced Ruby developer in a diverse team of talented experts, and you enjoy working on a product delivering quality code while meeting ambitious deadlines;\n\n* You choose the right tools for whatever job will be thrown at you. We're always open to re-evaluating choices that were made in the past: there is always a budget for good ideas;\n\n* You understand speed is a feature: you love benchmarking and experimenting with different technologies to figure out new ways of improving your code over time.\n\n\n\n\nWhat we worked on last quarter\n\n\n* Laying the groundwork for a modern adaptive web application, based on React and Redux frontend which communicates with a decoupled Ruby On Rails backend.\n\n* We built a scalable infrastructure in the cloud, based on AWS, Docker, and Continuous Deployment, that serves on average 11M+ requests per day.\n\n\n\n\nWhat a day in the office might look like\n\nIn the morning, after the daily stand-up, you pair program with a fellow developer to improve the performance of an API call which is not as fast as it could be. After lunch, you provide some feedback on the quality of a couple PRs from your teammates. Then you implement a new feature from the backlog or tackle an annoying technical debt issue that you've been keeping an eye on for a while.\n\nThe team\n\nYou will be working in the Product Squad with co-developers Luca & Fernando (Backend), Jop, Suzana & Ali (Frontend). Katia (UX designer) will help us shape the product, transforming the input from Omer & Orhan (Data Analysts) into beautiful and usable designs. Sam (Product Owner) will prioritize the roadmap and a QA Engineer will make sure we deliver high-quality software to our users.\n\nWhy join now?\n\n\n* We have successfully built the foundation of a great product, which will evolve in time and compete with the big players of the travel industry. By joining the team now, you will have the chance to have a strong impact on how we grow our tech stacks and the way approach work.\n\n* We are looking to grow traffic from 2M monthly visitors to 10M+ by the end of 2017. This is the perfect time to become part of the team working on the core behind our product, tackling exciting challenges around scalability and performance.\n\n* We are a company that is growing fast, hiring talent across many different areas of expertise (development, data science, data analysis, marketing, UX). Each team collaborates with the others on a lot of different tasks, making every day the day when you learn something new.\n\n* You will have fun writing code for existing and new applications, integrating them with internal and external systems, with room to explore new technologies and architectures!\n\n\n

\nOur engineers have experience in a consultative environment, excellent communication skills and a desire to work with talented teams building innovative products. We work closely with our clients, sharing our experience to help them better define their products.\n\nMost of our projects are written in Ruby, so experience in this language is required.\n\nWe believe that less is more and value simplicity above all else. This is reflected in the tools we choose to work with. For this reason we tend to avoid using big frameworks like Rails and instead use smaller tools like Sinatra, Roda or Cuba.\n\nWe have also done projects in Node.js, Go, Python, Lua, etc. And strive to learn new tools and languages everyday. We believe in always choosing the right tool for the job and we are very open minded about trying different technologies.

\nWe are a custom software development organization, developing software solutions for our clients to fit their specific needs. Our immediate need is to develop a single page, data-driven web application for a state agency. Key tech we're using is:\n\n\n* AngularJS\n\n* The Spring framework or Spring boot\n\n* RESTful web services\n\n* JPA - as implemented by Hibernate\n\n* MySql, Postgresql, or Oracle\n\n* Gulp / Grunt\n\n\n\n\nThese low-friction, flexible tools allow us to quickly build the solutions our clients need. \n\nThe web app to be developed will track complaints against child care providers, and integrate with various data feeds. Tasks performed by the app are\n\n\n* Complaint intake\n\n* Complaint review\n\n* Notification of the correct department(s) to investigate\n\n* Recording results of investigations\n\n\n\n\nThe application is a green-field, short-term project that must be completed by the end of September. PWW will provide support to this position by:\n\n\n* providing UX wireframes\n\n* providing photoshop design files\n\n* Project management support\n\n* Technical support from our talented and knowledgeable internal development team.\n\n\n\n\nWe have more work beyond this specific project and are looking for a long-term relationship with the right applicant.

\nEssential Algorithms Solutions (EAS) has an opening for two (2) experienced senior-level C++ programmers to add to our existing team.  This work-from-home contract style position offers a full time opportunity to each developer selected for the position.\n\nC++ is the main programming language used at EAS; however, candidates are expected to be 'full stack' and have experience in web APIs, web services, JSON, etc, since nearly all of our in-house applications either produce or consume web services.  Many of the services we interact with are undocumented or legacy code, so patience and investigative skills to determine how a given remote API works and how to extract the needed information from it are of the highest importance.  \n\nIn addition to web APIs, the position also involves programming for a variety of our sports wagering and online gambling related products.  Example projects might include (but are certainly not limited to) collection or aggregation of sports statistics; development of risk management tools; creation of random number generators (RNG) and casino game logic; and development of our Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) product.\n\nFor this position, emphasis is placed on the applicant's ability to produce solutions with minimal outside help.  As this is a senior-level position, all applicants are expected to be able to write the required applications from start to finish, including design of any database queries or tables.  Design specifications will be provided for each project prior to commencement.  While actual programming ability is one of the key requirements of this position, applicants for this senior-level posting are expected to show initiative and take a practical approach towards solving real-world problems.\n\nMost of the applications developed at EAS are in the realm of sports betting and online casino games / online gambling.

\nThe concept of this app is sort of Content Management System with Ticketing so you need to be familiar with ticketing systems - sending and receiving emails/tickets. You’ll be provided with all design files and with HTML/CSS/JS code, therefore, your job would be to convert it to React and build the app from the scratch using Meteor.

It's challenging building something that's never been done before, which is why we enjoy our work so much.\n\nWe are leveraging the Power of Drupal to build sites that integrate with our clients' back-end systems; integrations like:\n\n1. providing a Single Sign-on experience for customers\n2. generating detailed financial reports from SAP\n3. Exporting content managed in Drupal to downstream systems to keep application content fresh and engaging\n\nWe are invested in exploring the latest developments with Drupal, specifically Drupal 8. We also manage content migration from older systems into Drupal and are developing ways to automate the process.\n\nWith your help, we will expand our success and improve our skills to become  a top Drupal development team. You've learned the hard way through experience how to build a stable, maintainable web site, and you want to share your knowledge with others. \nSince 1996, Electric Pulp has focused on developing cutting-edge interactive solutions. We are looking for a server-side developer who can use PHP to help us continue to produce top-of-the-line digital experiences for our clients, particularly in the ecommerce arena. We work hard; we play hard; and our clients demand the best. So if you're great at what you do, and what you do happens to be web and PHP programming, we want to hear from you.\n\nWe prefer that you are or could be local to Sioux Falls, SD or even in the Minneapolis area, but don’t let that stop you from making contact. We understand that the right fit might not live here.\n\nAbout The Job\n\n\nAs an ecommerce developer at Electric Pulp, you will be integral to the success of the project, working with our project managers and front-end developers to implement the underlying server-side functionality of our projects. Typical projects involve working with platforms like Magento, Laravel, WordPress, and WooCommerce. In addition to developing functional modules, you will optimize performance of the server-side components of the project.\n\nWhile coding is the core function of this role, there are a few other things that we'll be looking for:\n\n\n* Ability to work well with others\n\n* Self-starter tendencies (especially important if you're out of the area)\n\n* Ability to multi-task\n\n* Dedication required to meet a deadline\n\n* Interest and proven history of learning new methods and technologies\n\n* Ability to write effectively and without typos\n\n* U.S. candidates only\n\n\n\n\nThis position is available now, and is already loaded with work, so you'll need to hit the ground running. As a result, it'd be best if you had some serious chops when you walk through the door on the first day. Skills and experience required are as follows:\n\n\n* 2+ years PHP development experience\n\n* Experience with MVC frameworks and concepts\n\n* Experience developing for Magento (esp. custom extensions and Magento Enterprise Edition). Magento certification preferred, but not required.\n\n* Experience integrating ecommerce platforms with third-party systems\n\n* Experience with server configuration (esp. Apache and nginx)\n\n* Experience with server-side caching tools (esp. Memcache and Varnish)\n\n* Proficiency with version control tools (preferably git)\n\n* Proficiency with HTML5 & CSS2/3, JavaScript (esp. jQuery)\n\n* Familiarity with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress)\n\n\n\n\nThis is a full-time salaried position with benefits:\n\n\n* Paid time off for vacations or illness\n\n* Flexible work schedule\n\n* Laptop provided\n\n* iPad mini or iPhone provided\n\n* Competitive Ping Pong environment\n\n* Free pop, (That’s soda, for you coastal types.)\n\n\n\n\nWe’re very serious about our work, but the team is cool, the projects are fulfilling and the Fridays allow for casual attire. As do the other days.\n\nSo, send us your resumé and your github repo or examples of your work in the wild. We look forward to hearing from you.
