In this role, you are expected to split your work between frontend and backend. \nWe are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our Scheduling Team in our Caregiver Experience Organization. Scheduling is foundational to Spring Healthโs services, and you will be an important thought leader in creating a great experience for our members and our providers. You will help to define our product and engineering roadmaps, and work as a part of a cross-functional product team to find elegant solutions to mental healthcareโs many problems. Additionally, you will guide the growth of the engineering team as a senior member.\n\nWhat Youโll be Doing:\n\n\n* Backend Systems Refinement: Leverage your experience with Ruby on Rails to refactor and optimize our core scheduling paths, ensuring scalability and maintainability.\n\n* Data Architecture: Design data models that support efficient scheduling flows, capable of adapting to future needs with the ability to scale.\n\n* Quality Assurance: Craft and execute comprehensive tests to ensure the integrity of our systems.\n\n* Observability and Monitoring: Implement comprehensive observability and monitoring to ensure the success and reliability of our scheduling systems. Enhance our ability to make data-driven decisions. \n\n* API Development and Maintenance: Support key APIs from development to deployment, ensuring robustness and performance for our main applications.\n\n* Mentoring Engineers: As a senior member, you will mentor other engineers in the organization. Including sharing knowledge, guiding in best practices, and fostering a collaborative and growth oriented environment.\n\n* Collaboration: Work closely with product managers and designers to develop exceptional user experiences, with a specific focus on delivering value to our provider network.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat we expect from you:\n\n\n* 5+ years of professional development experience\n\n* Experience with React & Redux\n\n* Experience with Graphql API design\n\n* Experience with Ruby on Rails\n\n* Bonus points for Flutter experience\n\n* Bonus points for experience with Docker & AWS\n\n* Bonus points for GraphQL API design experience\n\n* Comfortable working on an agile team and curious about learning new things\n\n* Enjoy using test-driven development and pair programming\n\n* Enjoy coaching & growing engineers\n\n* Comfortable moving fast and working through ambiguity - we are a small startup and are working on balancing the demands of business growth and platform reliability\n\n\n\n\n \n\nThe target salary range for this position is $159,100- $194,150, and is part of a competitive total rewards package including stock options, benefits, and incentive pay for eligible roles.
