SMBs and employees are facing a fully-insured health insurance crisis. In response to rising healthcare costs, SMBs are participating in more cost-sharing with employees increasing their cost and impacting access to care. Sumo is an innovative data-driven solution for SMBs to move to self-funded options and realize significant savings. We very much believe this commitment to improving cost of healthcare is critical to the long-term success of the company. \n\nAbout The Opportunity \n\nAs Venture Chair of Sounder Benefits, you will support the CEO and Redesign on the mission to launch a new business focused on building an innovative tech and services platform that is deliberately designed to help small and medium sized businesses easily transition to self-funding, driving cost savings and more tailored employee benefits. \n\nSmall to medium size businesses (SMBs) are facing a rising healthcare cost crisis driven by a system of carriers and brokers that is incentivized to keep SMBs in expensive and generic fully-insured (FI) plan options (increasing 10%+ YoY). Where Fortune 500 companies have access to negotiating power, emerging technology, and high-quality / expensive benefits consultants, SMBs are ill-equipped to fight-back today. This is causing SMBs, now more than ever, to explore alternative benefits options to FI, evidenced in part by the massive spike in level-funded plan adoption over the last 12-24 months.\n\nSounder Benefits plans to upend this cycle and give power back to SMBs by placing them on a path to self-funding. Our differentiated tech and services platform provides purpose built services to our SMB clients: (i) benefits consulting, (ii) data and analytics / AI capabilities, and (iii) additional benefits products (e.g., launching a group captive that helps SMBs pool risk and negotiate better contracts under our tech and services platform). \n\nOur offering is significantly differentiated from traditional brokers with better incentives, more innovative tech, and new product offerings overtime, ultimately driving more savings for SMBs (potentially as much as 20%+ YoY). \n\nWhat youโll do:\n\n\n* Mentor and coach the CEO with a focus on commercialization and product strategy, fundraising preparation and execution, and / or operational design and execution.\n\n* Introduce CEOs to prospective partners, investors, customers, vendors etc. by leveraging their own professional networks.\n\n* If company is pre-CEO: Actively participate in all aspects of CEO hiring; including advising on target profiles, providing referrals, and serving as an interview panelist in close partnership with Redesign Healthโs CEO Talent team.\n\n* Provide talent referrals and participate in interviewing prospective founding team candidates.\n\n* Vote on material business decisions reserved for the Board (e.g., stock option grants, debt incurrence, equity financing, M&A).\n\n* Collaborate with other board members and the CEO during Board meetings to discuss key strategic decisions (e.g., M&A, strategic pivots, GTM approach, pricing design).\n\n* Participate in KPI reviews to ensure the company is on track to achieving milestones.\n\n* Review business development activities and sales pipeline/pitches. While also providing oversight and tactical insights throughout the sales journey and process.\n\n* Partner with Redesign Health to ensure alignment with strategy and direction of the company.\n\n* Act as a steward of the Redesign Health business model with a clear understanding of the value proposition.\n\n* Complete all required Redesign Health disclosure documents and training for OpCo Directors.\n\n* Collaborate with RH Director and RH's CEO Talent Team to provide relevant input on CEO performance, ensuring effective leadership alignment and company growth objectives.\n\n* Represent the OpCo in relevant industry events and forums, enhancing visibility and reputation in the healthcare community.\n\n* Time commitment: The dedicated time commitment will vary weekly depending on the stage of the companyโs lifecycle. The average hourly expectation is two hours per week. In addition, the Venture Chair will be expected to attend quarterly official Board meetings in additional regular monthly Board check-ins.\n\n\n\n\nWhat youโll need:\n\n\n* Significant experience holding executive leadership positions (e.g. CEO, President, Chief Commercial Officer, General Manager) at an organization relevant to the Operating Company.\n\n* Deep knowledge and understanding of the OpCoโs target market and customers.\n\n* Demonstrated success with go-to-market / commercialization, fundraising, and driving businesses to successful exits.\n\n* A track record of advising for and / or investing in successful early-stage healthcare organizations. Prior Board experience is strongly preferred.\n\n* A robust BD network that is relevant to the OpCo, with an ability to unlock market and / or partnership opportunities.\n\n* Strong relationships with investors and the ability to help with external fundraising efforts.\n\n* Clear, direct and effective communication style with prior experience coaching and mentoring executives.\n\n* Highly reliable and accountable, with the ability to participate in regular Board meetings and be available on an ad-hoc basis as necessary (in accordance with appropriate time commitment expectations).\n\n\n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n

\nAbout Goldsky\n\nAt Goldsky, our vision is simple but powerful: build the data platform for web3.\n\nBlockchains will enable a new era of unique digital experiences and applications. However, today itโs impossible to build high-quality products due to the difficulties of processing on-chain data โฆ and this complexity is only increasing as more chains and smart contracts are deployed. Teams are forced to build data infrastructure in-house in order to build their product, distracting them from their core focus.\n\nGoldsky bridges this gap by automating the creation of end-to-end data pipelines. Our data infrastructure enables hundreds of teams across the industry to build rich, instant, data-driven experiences using on-chain data at blazing fast speeds.\n\nWeโve raised over $20M from Dragonfly Capital, Felicis Ventures, prominent players in the industry such as 0x Labs, Uniswap Labs, and Protocol Labs, and angel investors including Elad Gil, Plaid founders Zach Perret and William Hockey, and Zhuoxun Yin of Magic Eden.\n\nOur team built complex, scalable infrastructure with companies across tech, crypto, FinTech, and data analytics โ and weโre excited to bring this expertise to solving new and unique challenges with crypto data.\n\nWe hope youโre excited to join us and build the infrastructure that unlocks the rest of web3.\n\nAbout the Role\n\nWe launched our first product โ Index โ last year and are onboarding hundreds of customers to the platform, including Zora, Polymarket, POAP, Arweave, Hashflow, NounsDAO, and others.\n\nIn parallel, weโre launching two new products โ Mirror and Fusion โ to expand our suite of data tools for customers.\n\nOur pipeline of current and potential customers is full and we need an experienced sales professional to help capitalize on this momentum and keep up with demand. Weโre looking for a driven, capable, and thoughtful Account Executive to build relationships, close deals, and scale revenue. Youโll be a key steward of Goldskyโs brand and relationship with new customers, and youโll be ubiquitous amongst the crypto community.\n\nImportantly, youโll partner with Hemanth (Growth & Partnerships Lead), Kevin (CEO), Andrew (Marketing Lead), and others across the company to build a world-class go-to-market function. And as we scale, your insights will dictate how our sales team operates at 10 and 100+ people. Over time, you can grow into a leader in sales, operations, or other domains across the company.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\n\n* \nEnd-to-end Ownership: Youโll be a master of the sales process, ensuring we nurture leads from start to finish through robust pipeline management. With your vantage point, nothing will fall through the cracks as we scale and add revenue.\n\n* \nFeed the Machine: Youโll proactively identify, qualify, and close an inbound sales pipeline, while also strategically prospecting leading teams in the ecosystem. Youโll run sales calls, host demos, and nurture potential customers through a robust and flexible process.\n\n* \nBuild the Machine: Youโll build out the core processes for the sales team, implement them into systems and our daily workflow, and fine-tune them over time. We believe in keeping process light โ so weโre thoughtful in how we design processes that can make things hum.\n\n* \nEverything in Between: Building a sales function also involves developing playbooks, collateral, training resources, and other materials that enables the sales team to be at their best. Youโll collaborate with the entire team to develop the components that make go-to-market successful.\n\n* \nGo Deep on the Tech: Youโll become a product expert across our entire platform and understand our competitor landscape. Youโll go so deep that you can guide customers through a journey of understanding their pain-points, options, trade-offs, and why Goldsky might โ or might not โ be the best platform for them.\n\n* \nWork Across Goldsky: Weโre a small team and lean on each other to be successful. In addition to working closely Hemanth, Kevin, and Andrew โ youโll work closely with engineering, product, technical support, operations, and others to make Goldsky successful.\n\n\n\n\nWeโre excited to talk with you if:\n\n\n* You have a track record of exceeding sales targets as a quota-carrying Account Executive at a SaaS company. Youโve proven you can run the full sales cycle in a larger, more established team and now want to prove you can do it as the first Account Executive.\n\n* Youโre adaptable and have closed sales processes of various length and depth. Over time, you build repeatable, methodical processes to ensure success in any scenario.\n\n* Youโre curious, low ego, and always looking to improve. You experiment with strategies, tactics, and tools in order to identify what works, and you adjust to find repeatable success. Youโre open to feedback and collaborating with others to get to the best approach.\n\n* Youโre hungry and excited to join a high-growth, fast-paced startup where youโll get your hands dirty on a range of challenges. Youโre comfortable in an ambiguous, remote environment without much structure.\n\n* Youโre organized, have great attention to detail, and can manage multiple projects at a time โ while also keeping several stakeholders up-to-date with good written and verbal communication.\n\n* You enjoy building long-term relationships with teammates and customers.\n\n* Youโre open and curious to learn more about this wacky world of crypto :)\n\n\n\n\nBonus points for:\n\n\n* Youโve worked with highly technical products and customers.\n\n* Youโre deeply familiar with CRM systems like HubSpot or Salesforce and know how to design, configure, and manage those systems to make you even more productive.\n\n* Youโre crypto native, familiar with the broader ecosystem, and understand why Goldsky will unlock new experiences and applications in web3.\n\n\n\n\nBenefits\n\n\n* Competitive salary and equity in Goldsky.\n\n* Fully paid health plans - This includes medical, dental, and vision coverage for you and your family at no cost to you.\n\n* Unlimited vacation - Take time to recharge as you need it. Weโre serious.\n\n* Home office setup fund - Expense up to $5,000 for new equipment (e.g. computer, desk, chair) when you first join.\n\n* Wellness stipend - Expense up to $100/mo on whatever helps you stay healthy.\n\n* Connectivity stipend - Expense up to $75/mo on phone or internet.\n\n* Regular self-care days - Every other Friday is a company holiday to decompress. We go hiking, learn to cook, or trade jpegs.\n\n* Paid travel - Weโll cover any costs for work-related conferences and quarterly company offsites all around the globe.\n\n* Nice swag - We have a free internal Shopify store set up!\n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
