We are an SRE-like team that focuses on delivering automated and scalable solutions. We solve the diverse problems that come with scaling for a cloud and an open source solution in parallel. We write deployment systems and dev tools. We protect and scale Airbyte. You will have a meaningful say on what work we pursue.\n\n \n\nWhat Youโll Do:\n\n\n* Write runbooks that evolve into tooling, and tooling that evolves into automation\n\n* Find creative solutions to complex questions\n\n* Make infrastructure design decisions to scale Airbyte\n\n* Write reusable terraform to expand Airbyte to more regions and IAASes\n\n* Work with other teams to understand what work can give us the most leverage\n\n* Make testing fast and accessible to engineers\n\n* Make deployment systems fast and accessible to engineers\n\n* Make the change easy and make the easy change\n\n* Contribute to and shape the Platform teamโs roadmap\n\n* Drive and participate in major architectural initiatives\n\n* Own the success of Airbyte!\n\n\n\n\n \n\nWhat Youโll Need:\n\n\n* 4+ years of software engineering experience\n\n* Excellent communication skills\n\n* A desire to understand how people are affected by the choices you make \n\n* Proficiency in writing BASH/shell scripts with a focus toward readability\n\n* Deep expertise with CI/CD systems, preferably Github Actions\n\n* Helm and Kubernetes experience recommended\n\n* Experience writing code in Java or python\n\n* Intermediate level of experience with gradle, git and Docker\n\n* A passion for continuous learning and improvement\n\n* Belief in our values\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLocation\n\n\n* San Francisco.
