\nWe’re looking for an amazing Ember.js developer to build functional prototypes for early validation as part of our lean-inspired Build/Measure/Learn process. The successful applicant can be remote, but occasional on-site presence is required.\n\nAbout you:\n\n\n* You are a strong JavaScript developer and you pride yourself on crafting high quality, maintainable code\n\n* You know Ember.js like the back of your hand\n\n* You have prior experience in building and shipping applications or software in a startup environment as part of a software team\n\n* You can style practically anything using one of the popular naming methodologies (SuitCSS, BEM, SMACSS etc)\n\n* You are fluent on the command line\n\n* You are a team player who loves giving and receiving constructive feedback\n\n* You can TDD using Ember’s built-in test framework\n\n* You are knowledgeable about Ember’s addon ecosystem\n\n\n\n\nAs a Senior Ember.js Developer, you will:\n\n\n* Develop performant, customer-facing web applications with Ember.js\n\n* Work with the UX Designer and Product Team to explore conceptual ideas and produce well-instrumented functional prototypes for early validation. Work with the team to apply those learnings to iterative feature and product revisions\n\n* Work with the Dev Team to communicate requirements for any changes to the backend to support your work: bonus points if you can do this work yourself—perhaps you were a Rails developer in a previous life?\n\n* Support and mentor junior developers to build the strongest team possible\n\n* Conduct technical explorations and investigations as needed to determine how something should be built and then be able to explain your decisions\n\n* Thrive in a fast-paced agile environment that values best practices, good communication, your great ideas and lots of testing\n\n\n\n\nQualifications:\n\n\n* You have at least two years of solid production experience with Ember.js\n\n* Experience working closely in a collaborative fashion with a designer is very important and would set you apart from other applicants\n\n* Portfolio of projects you can point to that demonstrates detailed attention to typography, color, imagery, motion, graphic elements, and usability\n\n\n\n\nNice to have:\n\n\n* Experience working on Lean UX teams\n\n* Full-stack experience\n\n\n\n\nIdeal location/business hours:\n\n\n* Remote with ability to work during EST business hours\n\n* Within commuting distance to White River Junction, VT for on-site visits a strong plus\n\n* You must have regular access to a quiet, distraction free working environment for pairing and calls\n\n\n\n\nExperience and ability to comfortably pair using remote tooling. Screenhero or similar during normal EST business hours.

\nWe're looking for an experienced Ruby on Rails Developer to join our scrum team of multiple developers, QA and DevOps Engineers. This is a remote position for US/Canadian candidates. Our platform features a responsive front-end built with Ember.js, and a well-designed Rails API that combines semantic databases, natural language processing, machine learning and search. \n\nYou will be doing some or all of the following:\n\n\n* Developing scalable, highly-performant, customer-facing we applications with Ruby on Rails.\n\n* Building RESTful APIs. \n\n* Improving system performance and reliability.  \n\n* Writing clean, efficient and maintainable code.\n\n* Helping us scale our rapidly growing web application. \n\n\n\n\nIdeally, you'd be local to our beautiful Upper Valley located on the border between Vermont and New Hampshire where we'd welcome you to our fancy new offices. We have a ping pong table, and are really excited about the craft brewery that just opened up the street. If you're not within a daily commute (we're about 100 miles northwest of Boston), we'll entertain applicants who wish to work remotely. We'd ask you to travel to our offices (at our expense) once a quarter so we can get everyone face-to-face for some bonding and planning.

Or any combination?  We're interested.  We've got one dedicated front-end developer who'd love some help.  We have two great full-stack engineers who've got way too much on their plates.  If you can do it all, great!  If you lean one way or the other, let's talk.  \n\nIdeally, you'd be local to our beautiful Upper Valley located on the border between Vermont and New Hampshire where we'd welcome you to our fancy new offices.  If you're not within a daily commute (we're about 100 miles northwest of Boston), we'll entertain remote as long as you're in our timezone and can work online with our team via Slack, Trello and Github.  We'd ask you to travel to our offices (at our expense) once a quarter so we can get everyone face-to-face for some bonding and planning.
