Led by an industry expert with deep product knowledge, Articheck is an angel-funded startup, with a SaaS offering for the art industry that automates the process of checking and recording the condition of artworks. The company is well established within the industry, and has significant traction with high profile museums, galleries and art shippers. We are set to dominate the market and become an industry standard. \n\nWe are looking for a senior developer with startup experience. The Articheck platform currently consists of a Django site, together with an iOS client. The main responsibilities of the role would be:\n\nChoosing the right technologies and frameworks to allow the product to scale as the customer base and database of artwork condition reports grows\nPlenty of hands-on coding of backend web services and new features\nWorking with CTO to meet the IT needs of a growing company\n\nThe ideal candidate would have the following:\n\n* Expertise in server side development in Python/Django\n* Experience across the full stack\n* Linux server administration and Amazon AWS experience\n* Proven track record of having lead roles designing and developing web-based applications\n* Belief in the importance of writing clean, readable and maintainable code\n* A self-starter who is comfortable working remotely\n* A confident communicator, both written and verbal\n* Great command of the English language\n* Experience working for a startup company\n\nAt Articheck, we believe in a great work life balance. We are based in London but will consider applicants in other nearby time zones (ie, EST). The company is well established within the industry, and has significant traction with high profile museums, galleries and art shippers - we are set to dominate the market and become an industry standard.  \n\nWe are looking for a Lead developer or a CTO who loves coding. The Articheck platform currently consists of backed services written in Python and Java, together with iOS and web (AngularJS) clients. The main responsibilities of the role would be:\n\n\n* Taking ownership of the platform, developing the product and technical roadmap.\n\n* Planning iterations and managing their scope to keep them on time and on budget.\n\n* Choosing the right technologies and frameworks to allow the product to scale as the customer base and database of artwork condition reports grows\n\n* Plenty of hands on coding of backend web services and web portal\n\n* Building a team of developers and contractors around you\n\n* Communicating with the board, clients and potential clients \n\n\n\n\nAt Articheck, we believe in a great work life balance. You’ll be working remotely, but need to be able to come into London for meetings as required. You’ll receive 5.6 weeks of holidays (including public and bank holidays). The compensation is an initial salary of £40,000 together with a significant equity stake in the company (3-6%).
