\nThe Job and the Ideal Candidate \n\nYou'll be working with us as a full stack developer to build/improve the platform. The platform is currently in use by over 130 customers, and security operations centers that are 24x7.\n\nLocation\n\nWe prefer candidates local to the Plano, TX area. We are open to the right candidate even if you are remote. If you are remote and believe you are the right person for the job - send us some code, change our mind!\n\nThe Traits Our Backend Developers Have\n\n* Fluent in Django/Python.\n\n* Passion for front end development. In some cases this is mobile app development, in other cases, it's integration with other products that need to consume our APIs, or web development with AngularJS. This helps build better backends when you are the consumer.\n\n* Possess strongly held beliefs and aren't afraid to voice them. Opinions are usually based on something very specific related either to past experiences or to the platform, and very rarely theoretical.\n\n* At least one specific area of excellence in the skills mentioned below - you know this cold!\n\n* Reasonable work/life balance barring bursts which are exceptions. Exceptions aren't the norm.\n\n\n\nSkills You'll Need \n\n* Python/Django - We use lots of it. \n\n* Docker, AWS - specifically the following services - ECS, S3, SQS.\n\n* PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, Logstash, and Kibana - Core of the platform.\n\n* RabbitMQ, Terraform and other ancillary services that we offer.\n\n* Front End - Pick one: React Native, Angular, Swift, Android.\n\n\n\nThe Interview Process \n\n* If you like what you've heard so far and want to come work for us, please send us your resume along with some code samples!\n\n* Give us three (3) days to review and respond. We'll try to respond to everyone who appears to be a good fit.\n\n* A hands-on coding challenge.\n\n* A 60-minute technical conversation about the coding challenge and your resume.\n\n* An in-person interview at our offices.\n\n* A finalized job offer.\n\n

\nWe have 3 full time developers and have completed the MVP. We gained 60 enterprise customers in the last 3 quarters with no marketing. We are already operational cash flow positive and need 1 more team member that can help us accelerate and scale even more quickly.\n\nEquity is generous, and we will reward those who contribute above and beyond.\n\nFriends and family angel funding only - don't expect to need a series A to reach our goals.\n\n1. Python, Django, Docker, ELK, Amazon Web Services (lots of AWS) \n2. Mobile App development – if you want to get into it \n3. You will also be involved in a “Security Analyst” job – perhaps about 5-7 hours a week. Primarily being on calls when every other timezone is asleep. Of course we will make sure you get trained. \n4. Incredible amount of agility – absolutely required. There is no technology marriage – we use whatever is good for the task at hand. We tend to be python oriented, but that’s only inertia. \n5. You are always able to change something if you don’t like it – but don’t get to complain. If you don’t like something fix it \n6. Customer conversations – whenever you want. You don’t have to hide in a cubicle. Preference is working in the Plano office (121/Tollway), but remote is OK for the right candidate. \n7. Absolute mandated requirement: Self motivation and the ability to keep up with the pace.
