**What We Do**\n\nOverleaf is a social enterprise that builds modern collaborative authoring tools for scientists — like Google Docs for Science. We have over eight million registered users from around the world. Our primary product is an online, real time collaborative editor for papers, theses, technical reports and other documents written in the LaTeX markup language.\n\n**Who We Are**\n\nOverleaf was founded by two mathematicians who were inspired by their own experiences in academia to create a better solution for scientific collaboration and communication. Now we are a team of about forty based mainly in the UK, Europe, the US and Canada. We were recently recognised as one of the UK's top 100 fastest growing businesses and as the Best SaaS for Nonprofits or Education in the 2020 SaaS Awards Program. Our vision is to be the go-to place for writing scientific documents.\n\n**How We Work**\n\nOverleaf is remote-first — all founders and staff work remotely. We also have an office in Farringdon for those in the London area, and when the pandemic settles down we'll again get the whole team together in London a few times a year for face-to-face time.\n\nWe encourage flexible working. Our core hours are 2pm–5pm UK time, during which our development and product teams have 10–15 minute daily standup calls.\n\nWe always collect user feedback to inform our work. We have UX professionals on our team, and we run surveys and user interviews on a weekly basis to inform our Product Discovery process.\n\nWe have a flexible roadmap that we review quarterly, which includes regular user-facing releases. Our Product team works closely with everyone in the company, from Support, to Finance and Marketing to understand every aspect of how we can best deliver value to our users. Our roadmap also includes initiatives driven by staff and quarterly hackathons to keep our learning fresh.\n\n**About This Role**\n\nAs we expand, we are shaping our product team to better address user needs within specific areas of the product (e.g. onboarding and acquisition, premium features and retention). We are now looking to hire an enthusiastic Product Manager to join one of our new multidisciplinary teams. You will take ownership of researching, understanding and delivering value for our more advanced LaTeX users and their workflows across our hosted SaaS and on-premise solutions. You will shape up your own roadmap to discover and address their needs, as well as define how to measure success. You will also lead on projects related to your area of expertise from start to finish. This will usually involve:\n\nWork with our UX team to:\n\n- Carry out primary research to understand your users, their pain points and identify opportunities to address them.\n- Nurture and grow our rich database of user insights, mining data when needed and present it to stakeholders so that they can make informed decisions.\n- Develop new strategies for regularly monitoring and collecting user feedback.\n- Based on research insights, formulate hypotheses to be tested with a variety of qualitative and quantitative methods.\n\nOnce we get to developing solutions, working closely with the development team and other stakeholders to:\n- Shape a vision, defining the problem and align the team with clear objectives and user stories.\n- Represent the needs of the user and other stakeholders to the engineering team throughout the process. Be confident in conveying user needs with tangible examples from user research.\n- Play a lead role in the delivery process from start to finish, working closely with designers and engineering to solve issues that arise as we iterate on releases.\n- Monitor the impact of new features and releases, to determine if they achieved the goals set out for them at the start.\n- Be part of planning sessions with your team to help them prioritise and work efficiently.\n\nWorking closely with internal teams (Sales & Marketing, Support, Business) to:\n- Clearly communicate our roadmap and product changes in advance of their launch.\n- Understand and address their needs, including any obstacles they may have in serving customers.\n- Help them access and understand product information, dependencies and data that they need to do their job well.\n- Ask for input and insights from their perspective to help us improve our product on an ongoing basis.\n\nThis year, we are excited to be working on:\n\n- Launching a new analytics system and team to generate insights into our B2C funnel and help us understand our users better, while respecting their privacy.\n- Enhancing the collaboration experience on our product to make it even more compelling for individual users and teams.\n- Delivering a new UI to help users troubleshoot their LaTeX compilation errors more effectively and help them publish their work more quickly.\n- Revamping our template gallery to help users find what they need to produce the best documents.\n\nHere is an example of a feature that we launched recently to help users navigate their projects more easily: https://www.overleaf.com/blog/new-feature-file-outline-is-now-available-on-overleaf\n\nHere is an example of a recent paper we presented at the SIGCHI conference, which won a best paper award: https://www.overleaf.com/blog/congratulations-to-paulo-john-and-sven-best-case-study-at-acm-chi2021\n\nAnd here's a post about reaching 8 million users: https://www.overleaf.com/blog/eight-million-users\n\n**Who you are**\n\n- Empathetic. You are curious about people and their stories, you could spend hours talking to customers and stakeholders and never get bored.\n- Technical. You are familiar with LaTeX or willing to learn about LaTeX and its use within academia and industry.\n- Tech-savvy. You are not a developer, but you are familiar with a number of technologies across the tech stack.\n- Data-driven. You base your decisions on observations and data that’s available to you. Whether it’s from a survey, a database or a user interview, you are comfortable reading insights and presenting them to your stakeholders.\n- Self-motivated. You are a natural at making plans, keeping people aligned along the way and thrive when you see a vision come to life.\n- Collaborative. You listen, help and understand others. You are an independent thinker while remaining a great team player.\n\n**Desired, but not required**\n\n- Familiarity with Juypter notebooks, R or similar technology in an academic environment\n- A technical background or experience of working in technical environments\n\n**How We Hire**\n\nThe stages in our hiring process are typically:\n\n- We ask you to submit a CV and a cover letter stating why you would like to work for Overleaf.\n- We will aim to update you on the status of your application within two weeks from when we receive it.\n- We'll follow up by email (or sometimes schedule a phone call) with any questions we have about your application, usually around logistics, your ambitions and your expectations about the role.\n- We'll schedule a more in-depth interview, which is typically followed or combined with a practical assignment. For the practical, you'll have the option of either completing a homework assignment, which requires about one hour of your time before the interview, or doing an exercise during the interview, if you prefer. The exercises are practical in nature, and you can use Google, etc., and ask us questions.\n- We may ask you to attend a second, shorter, interview with our Founders.\n- We'll make an offer. We usually interview in batches, so there may be a short delay while we interview other candidates, but we will try to keep you informed throughout the process.\n\nIf you have a deadline, please let us know in your application, and we will try to be accommodating.\n\n**Requirements**\n\nWe require that you:\n\n- Have a minimum of 2–3 years of relevant experience.\n- Will work for us full time (or nearly full time).\n- Will usually be available in our core hours, 2pm–5pm UK time.\n- Are based in the UK, Europe, US or Canada.\n\nExperience with the technologies we use is always a plus, but you don't need to know them all; your ability to learn is much more important to us.\n\n**Benefits**\n- Remote and flexible working.\n- Salary £40k–£70k per year depending on experience.\n- You would join a small, dedicated and growing team.\n- We're substantially (around 80%) open source, so your work will often be on open source.\n- We're backed by Bethnal Green Ventures (https://bethnalgreenventures.com/) and Digital Science (https://www.digital-science.com/), through which we're part of a wider community of startups in science, health and ed-tech.\n- Our London office is shared with several other Digital Science companies, so there's lots of interesting people to meet, and clubs and sports activities outside of work.\n- You can pick your own equipment. MacBook Pro? Lenovo ThinkPad? Notebook and pen? However you like to work, we'll provide what you need.\n- We provide a training budget; many of our staff choose to attend relevant industry conferences or buy training materials.\n- We run a biweekly internal seminar series (show and tell) with short talks from staff about their work or personal projects, new technologies and techniques.\n\nWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status. \n\n#Salary and compensation\n$50,000 — $100,000/year\n\n\n#Location\nUK, Europe, US or Canada

# Now Hiring: Remote Content Specialist\nA content specialist works to coordinate, produce, and edit content for Empire Flippers. Your goal is to increase lead nurturing at every single level of the marketing funnel using content.\n\nTo excel in this role you should be a strong communicator, writer, and storyteller. You have a sense of what is most compelling to an audience and understand what they might need to hear/read to walk away feeling like they got value from a piece of content. You should be able to deliver on the voice and quality standards of Empire Flippers content alone and in collaboration with our marketing team.\n\nSpeaking of collaboration – you should feel excited about really nesting into our marketing team. We work closely together to meet our quarterly and yearly goals and you’ll regularly meet with the team to make sure you’re on track. But outside of a few regular meetings, for the most part, you’re independent and working on your own time to craft great content. The ability to be self-sufficient and thrive in an independent environment will be important.\n\nThis role is great for those who are curious and love to expand their knowledge. The online business industry is vast. You’ll cover everything from eCommerce, SaaS, private equity, affiliate marketing, SEO, to entrepreneurship, just to name a few. In this role, you’ll become a powerhouse creator who can deliver content on just about every topic in online business.\n\nThe industry is growing at record speeds and it doesn’t look like it will be slowing down anytime soon. This is the perfect time to get into space where you can make a real impact and be heard. You’ll also benefit from being in an industry that is vibrant and maturing with rapid speed.\n\nJump into the fast-moving current that is Empire Flippers and the online business industry as a whole and you’ll go places, likely surprised by where you end up. Along the way, you’ll have the opportunity to curate who you want to be as a content creator and marketer.\n\n## Our team\n\nEmpire Flippers has grown tremendously in the past few years and we are now a team of 80 people dispersed across the entire globe.\n\nThe marketing team is where you’ll call home. We are a close-knit team of eight currently and are expanding to a team of 10-14 very soon. Currently, we’re located in Vietnam, Malaysia, South Korea, The Philippines, United Kingdom, Croatia, and Mexico. Though that location often changes, thanks to all that remote work freedom. 😉\n\nWe work hard together, support each other, and have a good sense of humor. We want to see each other win because we know that creates a winning scenario for our customers and Empire Flippers as a whole. Our new hires will be an important part of our team and will be working closely with the entirety of our marketing team and will regularly connect with Empire Flippers’ other departments.\n\n## Background & Skills\n\nWe train you for every facet of the job and believe cultural fit is most important when we are hiring. So you’ll learn everything on the job but you should come to the table with these qualities and skills.\n\nAffinity for writing. You either have a portfolio of published work or are actively learning about how to be a better writer. Maybe you’re passionate about writing and creating content and you naturally gravitate towards anything related to that sphere. You’ll be writing a lot in this role so being able to show an interest or foundation in writing will be helpful.\n\nA can-do attitude. You understand resilience and being able to power through obstacles that come your way. You’re open to collaboration to get things done and you try to bring your best to everything you do.\nBe a good communicator. It sounds very cliché, but you’ll be brainstorming with team members in other departments, developing and collaborating on overall content strategy for both short-term and long-term goals, and creating new content ideas.\n\nA self-starter. We need to see some evidence that you’re able to get up every morning, bite the bullet and just get on with it, even if you’ve tried four coffee shops and none have decent wifi. You won’t have eyes looking over your shoulder on a day-to-day basis, you’ll be working in almost full autonomy, we’ll need to trust you to deliver the goods. In a nutshell: you must be highly motivated, goal-driven, and coachable.\n\nYou need to have immaculate attention to detail. We need to hear you grunting and moaning if a word or grammatical structure doesn’t quite look or feel right, as you’ll be creating two pieces of in-depth written content per month to be published on the blog. Writing, editing, and proofreading are a large part of this role for all content being produced.\n\n## Preferred Skills\n\n- A deep understanding of crafting written, story-driven content marketing pieces\n- Strong emphasis on editing skills across various writing styles to ensure overall brand messaging remains top of mind\n- Basic to intermediate social media knowledge\n- Basic to intermediate SEO knowledge\n- Basic to intermediate email marketing automation knowledge\n- Basic to intermediate graphic design skills\n- Journalism background, Especially in Amazon FBA, DTC e-commerce or SaaS related\n\n## Duties\n\nRoutine Job Duties\n\n- Writing listing descriptions for new businesses going live on our marketplace\n- Outreach to off-site publications and websites with a goal of creating 1 in-depth industry-related blog post per month.\n- Optimize content with best SEO industry practices.\n- Publishing story and data-driven blog content twice a month.\n- Monitor mentions and backlinks across the web for potential content opportunities.\n- Manage and improve the ongoing editorial calendar.\n- Interviewing sellers for the RMRB podcast\n\nBig projects content specialists could collaborate on:\n\n- Content repurposing\n- Creating graphics for content\n- Data-driven content\n- Customized email marketing campaigns\n- Collaboration on large marketing campaigns i.e Season of the Seller\n\n## Details to Keep in Mind\n\nThis position is a fully remote role. During the first six-month period, your role will be probationary and your training and performance will be evaluated. You can expect to be earning a $2,000/month base rate. Following probation, you will join our lucrative bonus sharing plan. Should company performance hit 100% of on-target earnings, this role has a very good opportunity to earn between $50,000-$60,000 annually.\n\nWe also offer international healthcare coverage that you will receive once you’re out of the probationary period. We offer a stellar unlimited PTO (paid time off) policy as well.\n\nWe’re going to start you off slow. Our roadmap also includes initiatives driven by staff and quarterly hackathons to keep our learning fresh.\n\n# About this role\nAt Overleaf, we are proud to have a very engaged community of users, and their feedback is essential to us as we continue to evolve the platform. We are looking for a UX designer who has experience working directly with users and a keen interest in user research. You will be key in helping us discover opportunities and pain-points through research and analytics; you will craft user experiences that help our users get their work done, while continuously assessing and iterating on Overleaf.\n\nYou will have autonomy in developing your designs, from concept to execution, but you won’t be alone. You will be part of a cross-functional team, collaborating with product managers that will help you understand where your work fits in our roadmap and with developers that will help you make your design come to life.\n\nThis year, we are excited to be working on:\n\n* Adding support to multiple-window workflows, allowing users to be more productive and take advantage of extra screen real estate.\n* Creating a palette for symbols (just like an emoji picker, but for scientific typesetting).\n* Delivering a new UI to help users troubleshoot their LaTeX compilation errors more effectively and help them publish their work more quickly.\n* Launching a new analytics system and team to generate insights into our B2C funnel and help us understand our users better, while respecting their privacy.\n* Enhance the collaboration experience on our product to make it even more compelling for teams.\n* Revamping our template gallery to help users find what they need to produce the best documents.\n* \nHere is an example of a feature that we launched recently to help users navigate their projects more easily: https://www.overleaf.com/blog/new-feature-file-outline-is-now-available-on-overleaf\n\n# What we're looking for\n* Experience designing for the web. We don’t expect you to code but, as a designer, we expect you to be familiar with the media you design for, as well as its constraints. You should be able to design and prototype solutions (with various degrees of fidelity) based on user research, and to iterate based on feedback and collaboration with stakeholders (e.g. product managers and developers).\n* Strong understanding and experience doing user research. You base your design decisions on a deep understanding of your users’ needs. You are able to script and conduct interviews; you are able to design and analyse surveys; you are able to run a usability test.\n* Ideally, you’ll have some experience (or interest) in developing or maintaining a design system or style guide. Similarly, some experience (or interest) in collaborating with and steering graphic designers (and/or doing some graphic design yourself) would be valuable too, as would a keen eye for typography (as LaTeX is all about excellent typesetting). Finally, some familiarity with publishing, the scholarly market and scientific research would help you better understand the sector Overleaf operates in.\n\n# How we Hire\nThe stages in our hiring process are typically:\n\n1. You submit your application (please provide a cover letter and a link to your portfolio if you have one).\n2. We will aim to update you on the status of your application within two weeks from when we receive it.\n3. We'll follow up by email (or sometimes schedule a phone call) with any questions we have about your application, usually around logistics, your ambitions and your expectations about the role.\n4. We'll schedule a more in-depth interview, which is typically followed or combined with a practical assignment. For the practical, you'll have the option of either completing a homework assignment, which requires about one hour of your time before the interview, or doing an exercise during the interview, if you prefer. The exercises are practical in nature, and you can use existing resources, templates, Google, etc., and ask us questions.\n5. We'll make an offer. Animalz is a content marketing agency that strives to create the best content on the web. We help companies grow by creating high quality, long-form pieces that their audience loves.\n\nWe’re a fully remote organization with team members scattered around the world. We have an eclectic team of marketers, scientists, journalists, operations folks, and more.\n\n**About this role:**\n\nOur Content Marketing Managers (or CMs, as you'll probably hear them called) are the backbone of the work we do at Animalz. While working closely with a Content Strategist and Editor, CMs write approximately two pieces per week, proactively manage their customer relationships, and work to level up their knowledge of SEO, strategy, and other content-related skills.\n\nThe ideal Content Marketing Managers will have experience in three areas: writing long-form (~1,500 word) content, managing customer accounts, and executing content strategies. The length and depth of your experience can vary, and our team works closely with all CMs to grow their skills in these areas long-term.\n\nWe're looking for folks with a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences for this role. We have former freelancers, journalists, strategists, marketing generalists, and more in the CM role. We encourage everyone who's interested to submit an application, and we'll be in touch if we think there's a potential fit.\n\n**We'd like to hear from you if:**\n\n* You're interested in content marketing as a career\n* You have experience writing long-form content (1,500 words or more) like blog posts, guides, and ebooks\n* You have knowledge of, or have directly written for, B2B audiences and decision-makers\n* You're well-organized and independently motivated\n* You love working directly with customers and/or stakeholders\n* You want to improve your writing by working closely with an editor\n* You understand, and have experience with, on-page SEO\n* You understand distribution channels for content, including search engines, social media, and email\n* You're able to describe or create a content strategy for a given audience\n\n**About our benefits:**\n\n* Work from anywhere you like\n* Flexible scheduling and communication\n* For US-based team members: health insurance (80% company paid) plus dental and vision insurance (99% company paid)\n* 25 paid vacation days per year\n* Unlimited sick time\n* Unlimited personal time\n* Paid parental leave\n* Monthly wellness and lunch stipends\n* Learning opportunities like internal workshops, talks, and attending conferences\n* Customized career growth and goals set and tracked monthly\n\n**Our stance on diversity:**\n\nAnimalz recognizes that the best content in the world can't be created without input from a wide variety of perspectives and experiences. As such, we are committed to diversity and equal opportunities for all candidates and employees.\n\nWe do not discriminate in candidate screenings, interviews, or employment on the basis of factors including race, ancestry, religion, gender identity, disability, sexual orientation, age, parental status, political association, military history, or any other status protected by law. \n\n#Salary and compensation\n$50,000 — $85,000/year\n\n\n#Location\n🌏 Worldwide

## What We Do\n\nOverleaf is a startup and social enterprise that builds modern collaborative authoring tools for scientists — like Google Docs for Science. We have over six million registered users from around the world. Our primary product is an online, real-time collaborative editor for papers, theses, technical reports and other documents written in the LaTeX markup language.\n\n## Who We Are\n\nOverleaf was founded by two mathematicians who were inspired by their own experiences in academia to create a better solution for scientific collaboration and communication. Now we are a team of about forty with fifteen developers, based mainly in and around the UK and in the US. We were recently recognised as one of the [UK's top 100 fastest growing businesses](https://www.overleaf.com/blog/overleaf-recognized-as-one-of-the-uks-top-100-fastest-growing-businesses) and as the [Best SaaS for Nonprofits or Education](https://www.overleaf.com/blog/overleaf-named-2020-saas-awards-winner) in the 2020 SaaS Awards Program.\n\n## Our Tech\n\nOverleaf is based on open source software, and most of our product code is itself open source. You can find it on GitHub: https://github.com/overleaf/overleaf (note: most activity is in the repos linked from there).\n\nWe run a mainly Node.js back end using MongoDB, PostgreSQL and Redis. We use a microservices architecture, with about a dozen services. On the front end, we mainly use Angular v1 and are incrementally migrating to React.\n\nWe're hosted on Google Cloud Platform using Google Kubernetes Engine. We use Docker to manage our development environments. We support continuous delivery and typically deploy at least a few times a day (less on Fridays).\n\n## How We Work\n\nOverleaf is remote-first --- all founders and staff work remotely. We also have an office in Farringdon for those in the London area, and when the pandemic settles down we'll again get the whole team together in London a few times a year for face-to-face time.\n\nWe encourage flexible working. Our core hours are 2pm–5pm UK time, during which our development teams have 10–15 minute daily standup calls. We have few standing meetings for developers, but we do many smaller video or voice calls for pairing or within teams.\n\nWe always collect user feedback to inform our work. We have UX professionals on our team, and we run many surveys and user interviews.\n\nWe organize our work with Kanban. We use GitHub pull requests for each feature with code review to share knowledge and best practices (and catch bugs). We test thoroughly with automated unit and acceptance tests, supported by continuous integration (CI). We're also fans of linting to minimise bike-shedding (and to catch bugs).\n\n## About This Role\n\nWe plan to add two developers to our team, both with a backend focus. Experience with some of Node.js, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis or Kubernetes is desirable. We are also particularly interested in meeting you if:\n\n- you'd be interested in taking up a team lead role in the not too distant future, or\n- you have experience with setting up data pipelines for web analytics and/or business intelligence.\n\nKey projects on our road map this year include:\n\n- Improve our B2C conversion metrics and monitoring — we'll be setting up a new web analytics system to generate insights we need while continuing to respect user privacy\n- Consolidate our two project history systems — we currently have two from our integration with ShareLaTeX in 2017, each with hundreds of TB to be consolidated\n- Make our project PDF preview faster and less bandwidth hungry — we have prototypes showing big wins that now need productionizing\n\nHere are some examples of projects (large and small) we've recently completed:\n\n- https://www.overleaf.com/blog/new-feature-file-outline-is-now-available-on-overleaf\n- https://www.overleaf.com/blog/new-feature-transfer-project-ownership-on-overleaf\n- https://www.overleaf.com/blog/523-a-data-driven-approach-to-latex-autocomplete\n\nIn the longer term, we are planning projects around improved collaboration features for teams, improvements to our rich text mode, and more.\n\n## How We Hire\n\nThe stages in our hiring process are typically:\n\n1. We will aim to update you on the status of your application within 14 days from when we receive it.\n\n2. We'll follow up by email (or sometimes schedule a phone call) with any questions we have about your application, usually around logistics, your ambitions and your expectations about the role.\n\n3. We'll schedule a more in-depth interview, which is typically two hours long. The first hour is discussion, and the second hour is technical. For the technical, you'll have the option of either completing a homework assignment, which requires about one hour of your time before the interview, or solving a problem in the interview, if you prefer. The problems are practical in nature (no fizz-buzz or reversing linked lists), and you can use Google, man pages, etc., and ask us questions.\n\n4. We'll make an offer. We usually interview in batches, so there may be a short delay while we interview other candidates, but we will try to keep you informed throughout the process.\n\nIf you have a deadline, please let us know in your application, and we will try to be accommodating.\n\n## Requirements\n\nWe require that you:\n\n- have a minimum of 2–3 years of relevant experience (we aren't taking on more new graduates at the moment).\n- will work for us full time (or nearly full time).\n- will usually be available in our core hours, 2pm–5pm UK time.\n\nApplicants in the UK, Europe, US and Canada are preferred.\n\nExperience with the technologies we use is always a plus, but you don't need to know them all; your ability to learn is much more important to us.\n\n## Benefits\n\n- Remote and flexible working.\n- Salary £40k–£75k per year depending on experience.\n- You would join a small, dedicated and growing team.\n- We're substantially (around 80%) open source, so your work will often be on open source code.\n- We're backed by Bethnal Green Ventures (https://bethnalgreenventures.com/) and Digital Science (https://www.digital-science.com/), through which we're part of a wider community of startups in science, health and ed-tech.\n- Our London office is shared with several other Digital Science companies, so there's lots of interesting people to meet, and clubs and sports activities outside of work.\n- We get everyone together in London for team meetings several times a year for valuable face-to-face time (pandemic permitting).\n- You can pick your own equipment. MacBook Pro? Lenovo ThinkPad? Notebook and pen? However you like to work, we'll provide what you need.\n- We provide a training budget; many of our developers choose to attend relevant industry conferences or buy training materials.\n- We run quarterly [remote hackathons](https://www.overleaf.com/blog/overleafs-remote-hackathon-revisited-one-year) to keep learning and experimenting.\n- We run a weekly internal seminar series with short talks from staff about their work or personal projects, new technologies and techniques.\n\nWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status. \n\n#Salary and compensation\n$55,000 — $105,000/year\n\n\n#Location\nUS, Canada, UK, Europe

We're looking for reliable, talented freelance writers who love writing about a wide range of topics, including legal topics.\n\nMost of our work is on legal topics. All topics related to legal are entry-level and not at an academic level.\n\nYou'll be writing about everything from why a certain legal contract is required for a business to writing a checklist article of best tools to use for an e-commerce store to increase sales.\n\n**About The Work**\n\nWe understand the value of quality content. We're not looking for plain text articles, but well-researched articles to educate our customers: articles with images, links, quotes from research papers, expert's quotes etc.\n\nOur articles are often 1000+ words, generally around 2,000 words. Some articles are beyond 10,000 words.\n\nWe're not looking to game search engines, but rather educate our customers about the legal contracts they're searching for. We aim to be a teacher to our customers.\n\nWe are looking for writers available for a minimum of one day/week. We have as much work as you can handle. We don't micromanage.\n\nWe are very clear on what we want for every article. We provide topics with a proposed structure including due dates and the minimum required length. But for the most part: you write the article, turn it in, we review and ask for edits if necessary and then publish it.\n\nWriters get paid every other week, in US dollars by PayPal.\n\nDepending on where we'll publish your work, and for as much as we can, we'll show your bio byline to give you author credits.\n\n# Responsibilities\n * Native English speaker with strong writing skills. We can make an exception on this if you have English Proficiency qualification.\n* Exceptional online research skills\n* Well organized and reliable\n* Some degree of technical proficiency (using Google Docs, taking screenshots)\n\nIt’s a major plus if you have any of the following:\n\n* Legal degree or paralegal experience\n \n\n# Requirements\nPlease format your subject line as follows: "Your Name | Freelance Writer | Remote OK" (example: John Doe | Freelance Writer | Remote OK).\n\nSend an email to [email protected] with:\n\n* A 4-5 sentence introduction explaining why you think you would be a good fit\n* 3 URLs showcasing your work related to internet laws or technology\n* Your freelance writing rates\n\nWe look forward to hearing from you!\n
