\nScalable Path is looking for a Progressive Web App Developer with GPS Expertise to join the team and work on a client project. Often there is no Internet connection in the remote locations that the operators are working so data is stored locally and then synced when a good connection is available. They are having some challenges with gathering GPS info from the PWA at certain times such as when the application/phone is not actively being used that they would like to solve. Information from the app is used to help operators make effective data-driven decisions. Collecting GPS data from the PWA as effectively as possible is very important for them. You will be tasked with architecting and implementing the following features relating to GPS.\n\n- GPS Data collection\n- General collection on events relating to EZOPS actions and events\n\n- General GPS location monitoring\n-Need the ability to track offline (indexedDB) and online (direct server communication if service)\n\n-Nearest Location autoload / ranking\n- Ability to understand which location(s) are closest to a user at a particular time\n\n- Time to travel\n- Ability to understand some tendencies about the user\n- Average travel time to and from locations\n\n- Data interpretation\n- Can eventually transpose the data onto a matrix for accurate routing items\n- Cheaper and more accurate than relying on GPS APIs\n\n- Ability to feed route times and data into a format for a prioritization engine.\n\nThe client would like to keep the GPS-related code packages as raw JS so they can easily be integrated into other frameworks in the future (not just AngularJS).\n\nYou might not need to reinvent the wheel for certain functionality but instead could integrate with existing GPS packages.\n\nOverall, they are looking for someone who can coach them through the pros and cons of various GPS options and approaches and then implement the agreed solution.\n\nRELATIONSHIPS - WHO YOU'LL BE WORKING WITH:\nYou will be reporting to the Director of Technology who was the original developer on the project. They currently have a scrum team of 3 developers with some contractors working on the side. They use Google meetings and Google Hangouts for formal meetings. They also have a Slack channel where they communicate throughout the day. There is an existing daily meeting at 9:00am America/Edmonton (-06:00) MDT.\n\nREQUIRED SKILLS:\n- Excellent English Communication Skills\n- JavaScript\n- Strong understanding of PWA limitations related to GPS\n- Ability to create code that can be integrated with AngularJS and likely other tech frontend frameworks to be future proof\n- Understanding of open source GPS libraries for PWA integration\n- Strong understanding of GPS and the ability to create logic based on GPS\nInternal matrix caching\n- Understanding of existing APIs and their pros, cons, costs\n- Understanding of data structures and metadata relating to GPS collection\n\nDESIRED (NICE-TO-HAVE) SKILLS:\n- AngularJS (v1)\n- Laravel\n\nSTART DATE:\nAs soon as possible.\n\nEXPECTED CONTRACT DURATION:\n3 to 6 Months\n\nNOTES:\nThe client would also consider applicants who are an excellent fit for the position and might have only part-time availability.

\nThe COMYAN Media System is a large, complex, web based digital asset management application that was developed over a course of more than two decades and is used by both small and some huge international newspaper publishing houses.\n \n We are looking for a developer who wants to take it to the next stage with a cool new user interface design (the professional design is ready to implement) and new functions. We want you to implement the new UI with CSS/jQuery/Kendo components, refactor existing code, and regularly add new features to the system.\n\n\nWe are looking for a full stack web application developer with the following skills:\n\n\n* You are an experienced developer in JavaScript/jQuery, HTML and CSS.\n\n* You have good database programming / SQL skills (we use Microsoft SQL Server).\n\n* You ideally have experience with classic Microsoft server side web application technologies (Classic ASP, VBScript, COM+) or are motivated to get into them.\n\n* You are able and interested to take over an existing, grown, quite large software project.\n\n* You have a strong work ethic and high motivation to deliver results in every sprint.\n\n* You are preferably located in European timezones (UTC+0 to UTC+7).\n\n\n\n\n\n The COMYAN Media System has been developed over a long period using the above mentioned languages and technologies. You will need to learn about its architecture and get familiar with the code, while we will help you to get into it. Note that this is not a green-field project, you need to get into those languages and adapt to existing code.\n \n Benefits\n We are a small, active team, similar to a startup, but with experience of two decades and some very interesting international customers. We have been using Agile for more than ten years and have learned to seriously apply it to our projects and to our development workflow. We are internationally distributed and have been fully remote for several years. For our work, we have always thrived to use the latest tools, technologies and hardware (currently Microsoft DevOps, Azure, SQL Server 2019, Visual Studio Code / Visual Studio, Atlassian Confluence, and Office 365 with Teams for our meetings).\n \n Interested?\n Are you interested? Come and join us building the next generation of typography.com, and the award-winning discover.typography.com.\n\nOur web applications serve a rare and refreshing audience: tech-savvy designers, the ones who are always running the latest nightly builds on the fastest hardware, but are the first to notice if animation gets triggered on window resize.\n\nWe’re looking for a developer who’s up to the challenge of delivering intuitive, performant, and thoughtful experiences to users who know the difference, and have come to expect the best. \nRayka is looking for an experienced, well-rounded senior full-stack software engineer. Koji - Web App Development Platform

This job post is closed and the position is probably filled. Please do not apply.
\nKoji is a platform that lets non-coders "remix" games and apps to customize game assets, styles, and basic mechanics. These apps are web apps (full-stack Javascript) created by independent developers and made available for remixing on Koji via the addition of some Koji-specific configuration files.\n\nKoji games have been remixed and shared by all kinds of people, including celebrities, influencers, and athletes from around the world! Koji games embed natively in Reddit, Snapchat, and Instagram, and can be played from any device and on any browser.\n\nWe are looking for a talented technical writer to help create resources both for developers creating games and apps on the Koji Platform, and for makers (non-technical users) customizing and publishing apps.\n\nWe believe that the most concise and effective way to communicate the value of a new tool to a technical audience is through documentation, and we are sorely lacking on that end. We’d like your help to change this :-)\n\nOur ideal candidate is someone with experience writing documentation about web technologies and web apps. This is documentation about the Koji platform and not code-level documentation, though an understanding of the modern web/JS development lifecycle might be helpful. \n\nYou can see what (little) documentation we have at https://withkoji.com/docs -- the sections listed on the left side may help frame some of the areas that need work. You will be responsible for seeking product knowledge on your own (we’re a tiny team!) and choosing your own areas of focus.\n\nIf this opportunity sounds interesting to you, please get in touch with a sample of your previous work and your rate!

This job post is closed and the position is probably filled. Please do not apply.
\ntl;dr: We want you to make fun web games that ordinary people can remix using our platform. We will pay you $500 per game. These are simple games, so they shouldn't take you too long to create. Interested? Read on!\n\nKoji is a platform that lets non-coders "remix" games and apps to customize game assets, styles, and basic mechanics. We are excited to work with developers to grow our catalogue of games and let ordinary people remix them into new games that are hilarious, shocking, silly, fun, or all of the above!\n\nIf you have ever wanted to get paid to make fun games and reach potentially millions of people with your work, this is your opportunity. Koji games have been remixed and shared by all kinds of people, including celebrities, influencers, and athletes from around the world! Koji games embed natively in Reddit, Snapchat, and Instagram, and can be played from any device and on any browser.\n\nWe are looking for developers of all skill levels to create fun, engaging games that are easy to remix and customize. These games should NOT be complex. Game formats that work well on Koji include things like endless runners, puzzles like Candy Crush, new takes on classic arcade games, etc. Think of these things like the next evolution of Flash games, not the next Skyrim :)\n\nThere are already hundreds of game templates on Koji, some of our favorites include:\n\n\n* https://withkoji.com/~Svarog1389/element-match\n\n* https://withkoji.com/~Svarog1389/space-blast\n\n* https://withkoji.com/~Svarog1389/burger-revenge\n\n\n\n\nYou can see more of our favorites at https://withkoji.com/create\n\nThese games are created using Javascript, and are adapted to Koji through the inclusion of a few extra JSON files. Please click "Remix" on any of the games above in order to see the file structure, and how the app uses JSON config files in order to render Koji VCCs (Visual Customization Controls). These VCCs let non-coders customize and modify the games (to do things like turn this game into this game).\n\nIf you create a new game template that meets our specifications, we will pay you $500 USD per game. There is no limit on the number of games you can create for us, but additional games must be meaningfully distinct from each other in order to qualify for additional payment.\n\nIn order to be accepted, games must meet ALL of the following criteria:\n\n\n* Game must load properly in the Koji editor and publish correctly from the editor. We recommend remixing a scaffold, or remixing an existing game and simply deleting the game logic in the Koji editor and replacing it with your own game.\n\n\n\n* Game must include VCCs that allow people to remix and customize the game in meaningful ways (changing images, sounds, strings, and other game mechanics). Please remix some of the games on the "/create" page tor examples of what kinds of things should be abstracted into VCCs. Changes to VCCs should be reflected immediately in the live preview of the Koji Editor via hot reloading.\n\n\n\n* If appropriate, game should include a backend with a leaderboard. Take a look at the code of some of the sample games for examples of how to do this using an Express server.\n\n\n\n* Game must be responsive and work well on both desktop and mobile devices. Please make sure to test across browsers and devices. Game must work in Mobile Safari on iOS. If you do not have access to an iOS device, please join our Discord -- others in the community can help you to test and debug on iOS devices.\n\n\n\n* If game uses arrow keys, it should terminate propagation of those keypresses. Koji games render in iFrames, so pressing the down/up arrow keys when playing the game should not scroll the parent screen.\n\n\n\n* If a game has background audio/music, the music should not start playing until the user starts playing the game. No autoplay music on splash screens.\n\n\n\n* Game should feel compelling and fun to play. Use high-quality assets and pay attention to visual design. Use sounds when appropriate.\n\n\n\n\nJoin our Discord server to connect with other developers if you have questions about how to use the platform, or are looking for feedback/inspiration for your game.\n\nBefore you start working on your game, please apply using the application link and tell us a little bit about yourself, as well as give us a general idea of what you want to create. Don't worry, there's no lengthy interview process -- we just want to get a sense of what you want to build so we can make sure it meets our criteria before you start spending time working on it.\n\nOnce you've been approved (we try to process approvals within 24 hours), you will be given a link to a form where you can submit your game once it's finished, as well as your payment information. Once you've submitted your game, it will either be approved and you will be paid, or will be rejected with a list of required changes. After you make those changes, you can resubmit. Please make sure you share your game in Discord to get feedback from the community before submitting it to us for review.\n\nLet this be a change of pace from boring CRUD apps -- be creative, have fun, and get paid to make games! :)

\nJob description\n\nLooking for P5 ninjas!\n\nWhat if we could :\n\n\n* Create a marketplace, where developers can offer templates for makers to clone and create new apps .\n\n* Automatically set up a development environment, completely in the cloud, with a hot reloadable embedded preview, and the best cloud IDE on the market (Monaco Editor).\n\n* Make the IDE collaborative so that multiple people could work on code simultaneously, just like Google Docs.\n\n* Make it possible to have Visual Customization Controls (VCCs) that allow graphical abstraction of hypervariables, making it fast and easy to customize the app clone (without even touching code).\n\n* Make deployment of full-stack Progressive Web Apps effortless, so that even non-techies can do it, with all kinds of sugar (custom domains, subdomains, plugin injection, automatic submission to aggregators and app stores, etc.)\n\n* Create a community of developers (making app templates) and makers (cloning app templates and making apps).\n\n\n\n\nWell, we have!  It's called Koji, and it is growing.\n\nWe are looking for more developers to join our team and :\n\n\n* Create new P5 app templates for makers to clone.\n\n* Help makers (via collaboration) to modify or extend existing templates to meet their needs\n\n\n\n\nThis is just the beginning.  Here are the current templates : https://gokoji.com/templates\n\nHere is some press about our recent financing : https://venturebeat.com/2019/04/23/gometa-raises-6-million-and-launches-koji-web-app-development-platform/\n\nOur tech stack \n\nThe Koji platform consists of several services that work together to present our users with a unified development/deployment pipeline. Generally, consumer frontends are written in React/ES6, and backends in Typescript (Express for REST APIs and native websockets for RTC). We use Redis as a message broker and Postgres as a persistent datastore. Our infrastructure is (mostly) on AWS.\n\nThe most visually-prominent consumer product is the Koji IDE, a web-based editor that connects to a remote development server and enables full-stack development from any device with a browser. The remote development server uses Docker to create a per-project environment that runs both the editor server (file writes, PTY operations, OT-based real-time collaboration, Git operations, etc.) and the processes/servers required for the user to develop their project (backend servers, frontend dev servers, test runners, etc).\n\nAt a high level, the web editor’s frontend uses VSCode’s Monaco as a text editor and a custom parser that renders Koji-compliant JSON config files into intuitive visual controls. Because Koji projects are simply modern, standards-compliant Javascript projects (or projects that ultimately target JS), this hybrid approach gives our users the benefits of easy, visual configuration using no-code patterns for manipulating project-level config (strings, colors, styles, mechanics, settings, etc.) without subjecting them to the usual restrictions of no-code/low-code platforms (complex, unintuitive controls; ballooning trees/graphs once projects go beyond simple basics; no ability to drop down and edit native code; etc.).\n\nBecause Koji projects are staged in the cloud during development, the web editor’s live preview can be opened on any internet-connected device (without the need for ngrok, mobile device proxies, etc.). The editor provides some additional tools for easily testing backend routes and manipulating PTYs.\n\nKoji projects are backend by Git repositories. By default, new projects use a Git remote hosted by Koji’s Git server, but projects can also use repositories hosted by third-parties as their remotes. The Koji deploy pipeline uses Git hooks to trigger new builds (build steps are defined by a JSON file within the project) and shows build progress, logs, and notifications inside the web editor. Projects can deploy static bundles or dynamic services that are compiled, containerized, and deployed using Google’s Cloud Run.\n\nOnce a project is deployed, it can be accessed by an auto-generated subdomain. From within the editor, users can also register a custom subdomain on one of our root domains (e.g., myproject.withkoji.com), or register a custom domain name and configure DNS to point that domain to our CDN. We take care of HTTPS provisioning, deployment, and renewal automatically with Let’s Encrypt, and all projects are accelerated with our CDN partner, Fastly.\n\nThe CDN that serves deployed projects can also inject plugins at runtime based on path/pattern matching, which lets users easily enable features like Open Graph tags (something that is typically difficult to do on client-side SPAs without SSR or services like Prerender) or integrate things like Google Analytics. The web editor also renders server access logs for deployed projects, giving users an easy way to understand traffic and growth without the need for any third-party analytics/tracking tools.

\nWe are looking for a thoughtful, detail-oriented developer to be the next member of our growing developer-owned, remote-friendly, people-first, hyphen-loving company.  The ideal candidate would have several years of experience working in open source web frameworks. They would also be eager to learn, grow, and foster healthy working relationships.  If you have experience building production web applications and are as passionate about helping customers as you are about working with new technologies, then we want to talk!\n\nWhat We Require\n\nDo you love to work directly with customers to solve business problems?\n\nWe believe great software is discovered by understanding the core problems our clients are facing – and that is best achieved through frequent and direct communication with the subject matter experts. We provide leadership to support and guide interactions, but we need you to be comfortable talking with clients, discussing problems, and proposing solutions, which may not always be more software.\n\nDo you have experience writing production web applications?\n\nWe strive to support our team's growth, learning, and taking on new roles at the edge of our comfort zones. At the same time, our clients expect us to bring a certain level of expertise. If you have never worked on a production web application, it is unlikely you will succeed here, even if you have other types of engineering experience.\n\nAre you able to work remotely, within +/- 2 hours of US Eastern time zone?\n\nWe all mostly work from home. This requires the ability to self-direct and communicate well in writing. It also offers tremendous freedom and power, which comes with, uh, tremendous responsibility. We currently require our team to be within a 2hr time zone difference of Richmond, VA and physically based in the United States.\n\nBonus Points\n\n\n* Being within easy driving distance of Richmond or Charlottesville is a huge plus!\n\n* Experience with:\n\n\n\n* Writing tests and using automated testing frameworks\n\n* Modern HTML/CSS (nothing crazy, we have a design team)\n\n* JavaScript and front-end JavaScript frameworks\n\n* Linux/Infrastructure/DevOps\n\n* AWS/cloud architectures\n\n* Mobile-first development, iOS/Android, React Native, etc.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat We Offer\n\n\n* A Great Team - Our team of engineers and designers is the best part of working here. We only hire people who are fantastic teammates – competent and smart, sure, but also humble, positive, and generous.\n\n* Great Clients - We work with mostly small and medium clients, for whom our projects make a huge impact. We prioritize clients who are pleasant and good to work with, people who share our values of transparency and empathy.\n\n* Work From Home - We are a distributed company. Everyone works from home, though the leadership team all live in central Virginia.\n\n* Negligible Travel - In general, we don't travel routinely for projects. If this is a specific concern, we're happy to discuss.\n\n* Flexible Work Schedule - We require a certain amount of overlap with the rest of the team, but if you have a predictable schedule, we can probably support it, e.g., ending at 3:30 every day or being out every Friday morning.\n\n* Good Work Life Balance (really) - We ask our team to work 40 hours a week*. That's all: a good, productive 40 hours. And then we try our best to leave you alone off the clock. We do this in part because that's how we want to live but also because we want our team to be recharged and ready to do their best when working. *If you need to work fewer than 40 hours, that might be possible too; let’s talk.\n\n* Competitive Compensation - We offer highly competitive salary and benefits, including generous time off, 401k, FSA, medical and dental insurance.\n\n\n

\nAbout Brimar Industries\n\nWe are a leading manufacturer of safety identification products: safety signs, traffic signs, parking signs, labels, markers, and more. Our standards-compliant products help our customers comply with safety and construction regulations. Most of our products are sold through our popular ecommerce websites — SafetySign.com, PipeMarker.com, and WaferSeals.com — which have contributed greatly to the strong growth we’ve been enjoying for many years.\n\nAbout the Position\n\nBrimar is searching for an experienced full-stack developer with a proven track record of planning, developing, and deploying large, complex web applications. The successful candidate will work with other front-end developers, back-end developers, web designers, and other departments to gather requirements for the large project assigned. You will have full responsibility for translating these requirements into actionable database schemas and UML diagrams. You will also be fully responsibility for executing those plans using ES6, PHP, Sass, Handlebars, and MySQL. You will report to the Chief Marketing Officer for code reviews and progress reports.\n\nWe’re a small team, but we think you be surprised when you see the types of projects we are looking to work on. We have a philosophy of in-house expertise rather than heavy reliance on “off the shelf” frameworks or dependencies.\n\nAbout You\n\nYou have 10+ years of experience building sophisticated applications, while adhering to requirements and meeting deadlines. You are an organized person, capable of finding the patterns and abstractions within complex requirements. You take ownership of the projects assigned to you and are proud of your work, with an ability to work independently and efficiently. You are a strong communicator who enjoys defending your solutions to a team that is passionate about clean, well-structured, object-oriented code. Most importantly, you don’t just program not just because it pays the bills, but because you find it fun.\n\nWhat You’ll Do\n\n\n* Gather requirements from other front-end developers, back-end developers, web designers, and other departments.\n\n* Translate requirements to database schemas and UML diagrams.\n\n* Share your ideas with the rest of the programming team.\n\n* Define and adhere to a calendar of milestones and deliverables.\n\n* Develop a large web application from scratch using ES6, PHP, Sass, Handlebars, and MySQL.\n\n* Present your ideas and code to the rest of the team, and use the discussions that arise from those presentations to inform your approach to the final form of the application and its code.\n\n\n\n\nWhat You Need to Know\n\n\n* ES6/7: Expert-level understanding of modern, class-based, JavaScript. Note that experience with React or Angular is not applicable to this project.\n\n* PHP: Expert-level understanding of object-oriented PHP in a custom-developed MVC framework.\n\n* Sass, Less, or CSS: Expert-level understanding of responsive, cross-browser styling for an application where visual fidelity is critical. Note that experience with Bootstrap is not applicable to this project.\n\n* Exceptional planning, organization, and documentation skills.\n\n* Excellent communication skills.\n\n* Project management experience with a proven track record of completing projects on time and to scope.\n\n\n

Here’s the scoop:\n\nWe're looking for a passionate Web Application Developer to help us build the next generation of GovSpend, a well-funded civic startup disrupting government procurement by aggregating, indexing, analyzing, and otherwise transforming government purchasing data. We're a Code for America Accelerator company and have an incredible team of seasoned executives and engineers. We work hard but maintain a casual work environment with a strong culture as a tech startup. As a new member of the GovSpend family, you'll work closely with our senior team members to implement critical pieces of our modern, forward-thinking architecture – learning many new technologies as you touch every part of the application’s source code. \nWhat you’ll do:\n\n\nYou'll build new features and products in our web app, from the UI components in the browser to the node services and database structure behind them in modern, functional javascript. The area you focus in is largely up to you - some of our developers end up more focused on GUI, others on services, but everyone is good at both. Every line of code goes through a pull request review, so everyone has the opportunity to collaborate on everything that’s going on in the company. \n\nWhat you'll need:\n\n\n* Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science or similar strongly preferred. Proven work experience will be considered in lieu of degree.\n\n* Strong understanding of functional programming in Javascript. Currying and composition should be second nature to you. Extensive Lodash or Ramda experience may be sufficient, but you’ll get bonus points for Category Theory.\n\n* Be proficient with React and MobX (Redux with selectors can work too).\n\n* Have Production experience with NodeJS.\n\n\n\n\nBonus:\n\n\n* Contribute to our open source repos (github.com/smartprocure). We’ve hired almost everyone that’s done so and interviewed all of them.\n\n* Have exposure to NoSQL (Mongo, ElasticSearch, and Redis are used heavily here).\n\n* Bachelors of Science degree in MIS, Computer Science or similar strongly preferred. Proven work experience will be considered in lieu of degree.\n\n\n

\nThis is for a 3 month contract position that could extend further as I'd like to build a long term relationship. You will be helping build a graphic layout and image processing web application that allows users to build custom print products. If you like to do UI design, great, but it's not a requirement. I expect 32-40 hours of work a week on the project and don't pressure for overtime. \n\nThe web application is being built using React and Typescript on the front end and Asp.net Web API/MVC on the back end. Most of the work is on the front end, so the ideal candidate would favor experience in that area.\n\nYou'll be working on a small team so you'll be given influence over the direction and design of the application.\n\nPlease note, I will only consider U.S. citizens.

\nWe are looking for a passionate engineer to be the next member of our growing developer-owned company. We care far less about what particular technologies you're working with than we do about your experience and passion for building useful software. We are looking for an individual who has experience building production web applications and is as passionate about helping customers succeed as they are about working with new technologies. We need a person that is confident and values freedom (we work almost exclusively from home), but is humble enough to ask questions when they are stuck. We need a person who wants to build new things, but doesn’t mind rolling up their sleeves and doing some maintenance work. We are looking for someone who wants to work hard, but balances that with the rest of their life. We know this is a hard mix to find, but if you feel like you’re up for the challenge, please get in touch!

\nThe development team at onPeak is looking for a developer who loves all things database.  We don’t just want someone to administer backups and configure user accounts.  We want someone who can do low level performance tuning and optimization of stored procs.  Someone who sits in the land between devops and development with a mind for databases.  Automation surrounding the deployment of schema changes, performance optimization in AWS EC2, caching layer optimizations are all examples of responsibilities of the job.  This person should swim in SQL, marathon in mongo, and relish in redis and not be afraid of some complexity and getting their hands dirty.\n\nThe Database Developer (Web Application Developer) role first and foremost responsibility is the performance, scalability and reliability of our data layer.  This is primarily our MSSQL cluster which drives multiple high availability web applications, but also includes redis caching layers, Amazon Redshift datawarehouses, and mongoDB session databases.   This position would also be deeply involved in database versioning systems and automated deployment of schema changes.\n\nThis position will report to the Director of Software Development.\n\nOur small team of 10 is super casual.  Even Jake from State Farm is a little formal for our office.  Our team is all friendly and enjoy regular game nights, movie outtings, cook offs, etc.  But if you are the loner type that is fine by us as well - nothing social is ever manditory.  We all think it's a top priority to actually like coming to work.  \n\nOur prevailing technological philosophy is a combination of simplicity and automation.  Never do by hand what a machine can do better and with fewer errors.  Pair programming for newer devs, and code reviews through pull requests are some of the ways we like to introduce and teach people about our application stack.

\nyou CAN apply for this job if you have your OWN TEAM, or you're an INDIVIDUAL. \n\n\nRemote work is okay, relocation is considered on a case-by-case basis.\n\nWe're hiring TWO to FIVE DEVELOPERS for a 3-6 month contract position.\n\nWe'll be creating the UX for bitcoin casinos which will hopefully stand for years to come and reach an audience of millions around the globe. \n\nWe need sharp minds who are not afraid to dive in for long coding sessions, get their hands dirty experimenting, and design an experience for customers that looks and feels like the future.\n\nWe'll be migrating to TypeScript and rewriting our Angular codebase, as well as re-connecting new game APIs in the front and back end.\n\nWe have selected CREATEJS, to craft our game experiences, with siimpler to reset our CSS and install the standard boilerplate, and we have selected SEMANTIC-UI.com as our front-end framework of choice.\n\n\n\nThe projects we are working on:\n1. New front-end for our customers, to a design spec.\n2. Back office upgrades to spec.\n3. MAHJONG and BACKGAMMON; multiplayer server w/mahjong game logic included. handles disconnects, etc. etc. \n4. 'Gamification', a unified auth provider that tracks achievements, challenges, XP, level-ups, etc. across all games, including 3rd party and poker.\n5. Integration micro-services cluster, takes our current monolith backend NODE APP and busts it up into microservices per-game or per-integration. This includes further integration with the existing providers, they have parts of their API for bonuses and campaigns/promos that we have not accessed yet. Bitcoin Exchange/Shapeshift integration included.\n6. LOTTERY Mobile app and services surrounding ticket tracking and payouts for the two US-based and 1 Europe-based lotteries.\n7. TEAM COLLAB application, communication, email, document collaboration, customer-service training, project and task management, using METEOR as a tool. This will establish workflows and solve some challenges. We will experiment with our waterfall-based workflow, talk about the project timelines in abstract terms, establish terminology, GIT and CI workflow.\n\n\nOpen Positions: if you are ANY or ALL of these people, contact us!\n1. a real designer, someone who knows what looks good, can produce assets for graphics, illustrations etc, and design pages properly, as well as do UX testing later in the dev cycle. Helps with animation planning, storyboards, user visit lifecycle\n2. full-stack developer who writes Angular and Typescript on the front-end and Node/Meteor/TypeScript on the backend. Implements most of the features, models, services etc. heavy lifting, not a designer in any sense, writes code to documented specs which he helps create.\n3. HTML5 animator, who can translate JSON data and game concepts into things like graphs, charts, dice animations, card animations. In addition, he writes all the markup for the site, and all the CSS. So, he's into D3, CreateJS and Canvas, but also knows how to write good form validation and create UIs to spec.\n4. UX Quality Assurance analyst, this person works very closely with the team members to make sure that the customer is well represented throughout the development cycle, and guarantees that code is human-tested and machine-tested. Probably a full-stack developer but not necessarily going to write a lot of code, since his job is primarily to decide which tests to write and make sure they get written by whoever.\n5. Graphic Artist with HTML5/CSS experience, a person who can do things like create banner ads, curate stock photos used in the marketing side, and provide assistance to #1 or #3 in terms of execution of graphics, animations. Proficient in Adobe After Effects. Has an eye for color, spacing, things of this nature. Assists #5 in testing.\n\n\n\nBenefits\n\nWork with a company that is on the cutting edge of BITCOIN GAMING WEB APPS. Work with no-nonsense people who are all about getting work DONE. Secure your future forever...if you can work and you want a job, you'll have one with us for years to come.

Instances of tournaments cannot be created by players, they are automatically created based on a schedule, such as every day at every hour, half past the hour\n \n \n * every admin-only item can be set with a custom rake, but the default is 1%\n \n \n * Bonus Credit\n* BTC credit which players cannot cash out but can use to play against other players, join tournaments etc. Rake is not collected for any bets placed with bonus money, games played with partially bonus and partially normal money are charged rake based on the amount of money which was considered normal money.\n\n \n * Gamification Layer\n * allow creation of leaderboards based on certain statistics such as amount of bets with time-based payouts to the leaders and tracking/reporting of previous winners with leaderboard snapshots.\n * Level system\n * Player can earn levels based on XP points and challenges completed\n * XP (experience points) and create a level system to allow players to level up. When players level up they are given bonus credit\n * The formula for XP is: (# of uBTC (0.001 BTC == 1 uBTC) won plus # of bits wagered) divided by 2. For tournament entries, 10 % of the number of uBTC won.\n * Players who would gain less than 1 XP point for a particular game/tournament are awarded 0 XP \n * Players can only level up if they reach the required # of XP points AND complete the level challenges ( see below)\n \n \n * Level challenges\n * Each level has 3 quantitative requirements before leveling up. Example: the # of wins, total amount wagered, and etc. \n * Once the player has reached the level challenges, and gained the XP necessary to level up, the leveling up event happens NOT automatically but by user action. The user is notified that they can level up.\n * Leveling up bonus: Upon leveling up, user can select from one of a list of bonuses for their account. The list will be arbitrary and at least 10 items long, and include things like new avatars, BTC bonuses for other parts of the site (eg: bonus money for poker room), or bonus money for use in the backgammon room.\n \n \n \n \n * Leagues:\n* Teams can be created and named by any player, and joined by any other player. This results in a league of teams, and a Match is always running between these teams, which culminates in a monthly payout based on the number of points accrued by teams during 1 month period, beginning on 1st of each month and ending on 11:59:59 of last day of that month.\n * Only Players can win points. The total amount of points from all players in a team = the teams number of points\n * The top 3 teams in a league at the end of the league cycle will receive a prize, similar to the leaderboard prize, the league scoreboard must have a snapshot feature so that previous league results can be displayed.\n * How to win points: the program should allow for arbitrary rules to be declared, based on per-round,per-game and per-tournament statistics such as wins/losses. Customized code should be easily placed.\n \n \n\n \n \n \n * Game Logic\n * Refer to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Backgammon#Setup and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Backgammon#Movement for complete instructions on how the gameplay moves in rounds and how the chips are set up.\n* We will use only the main variation of backgammon for the purpose of this project. HOWEVER, additional game variations should be available by simply adding a single file and then referencing that file in a field gameType from the data model, which can be selected upon creation of a game (the default is our gameType which we will create in this project)\n\n \n * Steps to play:\n * The base bet amount is negotiated upon starting the game. \n * At any time, a player can double the bet, and the other player either forfeits the game or accepts the doubling. Each player can do this any number of times, until the amount reaches 64x the original base bet (max bet)\n * The minimum base bet is 100 satoshi. The maximum base bet is 1 BTC. These should be configurable.\n * Any time the amount of the bet is changed, the appropriate amount is deducted from both players accounts.\n * The total pot amount is always shown on the screen, and uses a count-up animation, in which the size of the text and the color of the text for the total pot amount are fluctuating and a sound is played.\n \n \n * Both players roll the dice, the higher number goes first, a tie results in re-rolling.\n* When the dice are rolled (at any time) an animation and sound will be played\n\n \n * The first player rolls the dice and then moves his tokens a certain number of times/pips\n * The number of pips and tokens moved depends on the ruleset defined above.\n * In order to move a chip, user will click on the chip he desires to move, and then the available positions he can move that chip to will HIGHLIGHT. The highlighted area being clicked, the chip will move to that area\n * If the chip selected cannot be moved, a red error highlight shows on selected chip\n * If no moves are available, a pertinent message is shown for 2 seconds, followed by the dice passing to the other player\n \n \n * The white and black players maintain a fixed position on the board where the dice move back and forth between these two positions to indicate whose turn it is to take action. \n * A timer with a circular (green-to-red) pattern moves along with a text (EG: 1:14) to indicate time left to act for each player\n * Eventually the players will begin to bear off or finish the game, and when the game is complete, the scores for that round will be displayed, \n * If this is a 1-round game, credits are given immediately to the winner.\n * however if this is a multi-round game, no credits or debits will be made until the game has ended\n \n \n * Player can resign the game at any time\n \n \n * Payouts\n * Single-round game: rake is deducted and tracked in credit transaction to the winner.\n * Multi-round game: rake is deducted after all rounds were played in a single credit transaction to the winner, with corresponding rake amount also tracked.\n * Tournament: see above, arbitrary admin setting\n \n \n \n \n * Idle and Disconnection handling\n * allow a game from the past to be viewed as if it's being played in real time, and stepped through one game-action at a time.\n * Handling timing of moves during a game. \n* Time-bank: player is allowed 15 seconds, and can act faster than 15 seconds. If acting faster than 15 seconds, the remainder is built up and added to the 15 seconds for each additional action. The maximum time bank is 60 seconds. \n\n \n * handling disconnection of players during game, \n * 60-seconds without an action but still connected is considered a forfeit of the game round, 2 of these in a row forfeits the game.\n * Any disconnection without a reconnection within 60 seconds is considered a forfeit of the game round, 2 minutes disconnected is a forfeit of the game. \n * After reconnecting, the entire clock system starts over.\n \n \n * provide tracking of and allow players to cancel or resume disconnected games from a special popup that occurs if there are any games that have been paused due to disconnection\n \n \n \n \n * Player Profile\n * can be viewed for oneself or any other player who has a public profile\n * View/change avatar\n * View my rating/Rate another player\n * Win/loss record of player\n * Disconnect % ( how many times they disconnect or quit during the game )\n * Report a player ( allows player to be flagged for cheating or inappropriate play with an explanation, which is all forwarded to our support team )\n \n \n * discussion forum using telescopeapp.org will allow players to converse about any subject related to the game.\n * in-game player chat (per-table chat rooms, players can mute players , real-time chat moderation, time-based and permanent bans, admin broadcasts to all rooms), \n * area for game instructions (including game rules, how to play, strategy/tips, lobby instructions, house rules, XP+levels+leaderboards)\n \n\nPROPOSED TEAM MEMBERS FROM YOUR TEAM:\n1. full-stack developer who writes Angular2 and Typescript on the front-end and Meteor/TypeScript on the backend.
