**$120k/year. 100% remote. Flexible schedule.**\n\nSoflyy is seeking an experienced full stack engineer to help us build the next iteration of our state-of-the-art drag & drop website builder for WordPress. \n\nAs a fully-remote team, we don't care what time zone you're in or at what times you're working. We only care about the quality of your work. We keep meetings and chat to the absolute minimum to foster focus-time.\n\nYou'll spend a lot of time in Vue (with TypeScript and Vuex), but you're also expected to work with WordPress APIs and PHP. We do E2E testing with Cypress, and integration and unit tests with Jest. \n\nKnowledge of Vue is a plus, but if you're experienced with React jumping ship is easy enough - we’ve done it, and our codebase follows best-practices to make it easy to understand everything. \n\nYou're expected to be self driven, solve problem and make decisions on your own. We trust you to create the best product you can (you can always ask for help though!). \n\nWe consider good communication skills very important because of the above. \n\n**Our stack:**\n* Vue (w/ Vuetify and Vuex) \n* PHP\n* WordPress \n* TypeScript (strict mode, 100% coverage) \n* Psalm (static analysis for PHP, similar to TypeScript) \n* Cypress / Jest \n* GitHub \n\n# Requirements\n**Must haves:**\n* Vue experience (or React/Angular, and a desire to learn Vue) \n* PHP experience \n* All the other usual stuff (knowledge of Git & CSS, common sense, etc.)\n\n**Nice to have:**\n* An eye for design \n* TypeScript experience is a plus \n* WordPress experience is a plus \n* Knowledge of testing modern apps is a plus \n\n# How We Work\nYou’ll be working closely with the founder (me, Louis) and two other senior engineers.\n\nEverything is async. We avoid meetings and interruptions.\n\nWe use GitHub and Basecamp to track tasks and monitor progress. Instead of a daily standup, everyone posts progress updates in Basecamp. A list of GitHub issues will be assigned to you, and you’ll implement the fixes and features in them and then submit a PR, which will be reviewed by one of the other engineers or the founder. \n\nVery occasionally we’ll do a Zoom call to go over something, but that’s rare (think 1 or 2 per month). \n\nIn the beginning, we’re happy to do as many Zoom calls as you want to get you onboarded and up to speed. \n\nIt’s very easy to get started and you’ll be shipping features in no time. The last engineer we hired did less than one day of onboarding on Zoom, and was shipping significant features at the end of the first week. \n\nOur code base is high quality and very well-architected. We have CI, automated testing, TypeScript on strict mode, types on our PHP, etc. \n\n**What We Offer**\n\n* $120,000k/year\n* Fully remote\n* No scheduling requirements - you can work whenever you want \n* A work environment free from politics / meetings / interruptions / bs\n* No overtime / crunch time / rushing / stress. We are a calm company: https://basecamp.com/books/calm\n* $2k/year learning materials budget\n\n**Interview Process**\n\nEmail Louis (the founder): [email protected] \n\nIf you sound like a good fit, we’ll schedule a short interview (~1 hour on Zoom) where we’ll have a conversation and ask some questions to get a sense of your software engineering abilities and experience. And of course we’re happy to answer any questions you have about us.\n\nYou will be asked a few coding questions. If you are proficient in JavaScript and PHP, you’ll know the answers. There are no algorithms/leetcode questions. The questions touch on practical and common tasks, such as working with arrays. \n\nWe are expecting to make a hiring decision in the next ~3 weeks. We are flexible, and are happy to give you some time to wind things down at your current position if necessary. \n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n$120,000 — $120,000/year\n\n\n#Location\n🌏 Worldwide

The platform combines a simple, modern UI with enterprise-grade tools, allowing technology companies to plan and manage their projects effectively, visualize progress across the organization, and define deadlines and milestones based upon data and predictive modeling.\n\nWhat originally started as a Hack Day project has grown into a product that is used by more than 1,500 companies across the globe...and we have big plans to continue our growth. We’re growing our Frontend Team and are looking for both mid-level and senior engineers who have experience working across the web stack. While most work will concentrate on building front end features and scaling our existing web systems, you may also work on projects that involve building components that interact with our infrastructure or database.\n\nOur Frontend is written in JavaScript and we use React as our library of choice. Otis is looking for talented frontend engineers to bring our vision of democratizing wealth to life. We're not looking for rockstars or ninjas; we're simply looking for smart people who are always willing to learn, enjoy collaborating, and never shy away from a challenge.\n \nYou'll be joining a lean engineering team working to build a consumer facing app at the intersection of culture and fintech, poised to scale in the coming year.\n\nNote that we are open to a range of commitment levels (full-time, part-time, and contract work) and are happy to work with team members to find the best work structure for their lives.\n\n**What you'll do:**\n* As a frontend engineer, you will play a key role building our mobile app in React Native and Redux.\n* This includes building new features, maintaining and improving our codebase, and providing feedback on APIs and architecture.\n* Our team is highly collaborative, and you’ll also have the chance to provide feedback on everything from culture to architecture, as well as team operations and the overall product.\n\n**Who you are:**\n* You have 2+ years experience with React or Vue.\n* You are obsessed with clean code. You take pride in great class design and choosing the right level of abstraction. Tests are your best friend.\n* You love keeping up with the latest developments in the mobile world. Last year, you were mad that Hooks for React hadn't been released yet.\n* You're familiar with REST APIs. You immediately wrinkle your nose when you see POST /update_name.\n* We prefer generalists over specialists and look for candidates with a history of pushing past their comfort zone and learning new things.\n* You understand—and are excited to join—an early stage company and have the opportunity to play a critical part in building the app and new features.\n* U.S. work authorization with no visa sponsorship required.\n\n**Want to learn more?**\nTake a look at our culture docs (here: [https://www.notion.so/otiswealth/Curious-about-Otis-46df28b7e37c4b1fa5e4681a0efda4e4](http://)), including details on compensation, potential projects, and more.\n\n**About Otis**\nAt Otis, we turn aficionados into shareholders. We believe in transparency, liquidity, and trusting your own gut. We're democratizing an otherwise closed market and making alternative assets accessible. Invest in the things that you value, and whose value you understand, for as little as $25 and build a portfolio better suited to a museum than a stock ticker.\n\n**Our Culture**\nWe have a saying here: “we design our culture like we design the product.” Culture is the most important foundation for a successful company. A great culture provides the context for people to deliver their best work. Our goal is to find the fastest way to win. Our culture is designed to allow us to achieve this (read more here: [https://www.notion.so/otiswealth/Culture-cf25a1c921b142b2a67ae993493bae13](http://)).\n\n**Transparent Compensation**\nWe don’t believe that better negotiators necessarily make better employees. Every employee can see their current salary, the salary levels for their team, and what each level’s salary increase would amount to in the future. This allows us to offer equal pay to all employees.\n\nOtis is an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to building a culture where diverse thoughts are welcomed and rewarded. \n\n#Salary and compensation\n$125,000 — $200,000/year\n\n\n#Location\n🇺🇸 US-only

We, at **Octopods** ([https://octopods.io](https://octopods.io/)), are a small, sharp-focused and deliberate team. We built Octopods to connect businesses using live chat software (like **Intercom**) to the most popular messaging channels out there (like **WhatsApp, Twitter, Facebook, etc**). The more exposed you are to it, the merrier.\n\n- You write your code with empathy for your fellow Engineers, and for future readers.\n\n- You have are self-driven, and can self-manage.\n\n- You can write and communicate in English succinctly. You wrote technical plans before, we do write a lot.\n\n- You love to take on complex problems, and you don't shy away from fixing issues.\n\n- You have some remote experience, and you understand its challenges.\n\n- You can take, and give feedback openly.\n\n- You are kind, and there is ≥5% a chance we will see you smile. :)\n\n- You like to work in a small team, and have direct ownership of your work.\n\n- You think of technology, not as an ideology but rather as means to push value into the world.\n\n\n\nYour engineering skills are as important as your entrepreneurial skills to us. We value frontend generalists who can take a problem from its most ambiguous state and deliver its end value to solve a real world problem for our customers.\n\n\n\n**About pay & benefits,**\n\n\n\n- A salary up to 4,000$ per month or up to 48,000$ yearly (USD).\n\n- 1 full-month yearly bonus subject to yearly performance.\n\n- Reimbursing your monthly internet bill.\n\n- A new laptop and equipment that you will need.\n\n- 100% remote, stress-free and friendly environment.\n\n- We don't have managers, we will work to enable you be successful and get out of the way.\n\n- You'll have the opportunity to have a massive impact due to our size and being an early stage.\n\n\n\n**Next steps,**\n\n\n\n- If you'd like to work with us, send us your resume, and a personal message. :)\n\n- If we feel like we can work together, we will send you an email with the next steps. \n\n#Salary and compensation\n$30,000 — $48,000/year\n\n\n#Location\n🇪🇺 EU-only

\nSummary\n\nWe are looking for a software engineer to join our growing team, helping build our web-based analytics platform: BRG DRIVETM. The web is an ever-changing landscape, we’re looking for someone with experience building a modern single page application, but we have no specific tech stack or years-of-experience requirements though our preference is indicated in bold.\n\nRequired Qualifications\n\n\n* Self-starter who digs in to find solutions, not just identifies problems. Enjoy working fast, breaking and fixing things, and implementing your own ideas to bring client services to the modern web.\n\n* A desire to work remotely while traveling occasionally for team gatherings, client-specific work and “devcations” where product development takes place.\n\n* Hold an ESTA eligible passport to enable travel with short notice\n\n* Authorized to work in the US\n\n* Experience enhancing and working with a full-stack web application\n\n* Knowledge of one or more frameworks for the frontend (ex. VueJs, React, Angular)\n\n\n\n\nIdeal Qualifications\n\n\n* ~1-2 years of relevant work experience in software development\n\n* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar technical field of study\n\n* Experience in software development using a general-purpose programming language (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, PHP, Go, etc)\n\n* Knowledge of one or more frameworks for the backend (ex. Django, Flask, Laravel, Ruby On Rails, Express, Spring)\n\n* Familiarity with SQL databases and designing application table structures\n\n* Basic version control (ex. Git), networking, and cloud experience related to application deployment\n\n* Knowledge of CI/CD techniques and implementations\n\n* Knowledge of Linux and Docker\n\n* Experience integrating 3rd party software into an existing stack\n\n\n\n\nThe Role\n\nIn this role your programming skills will be challenged by potentially any industry and many different issues that causes problems for our clients. You will work with our team of data scientists, subject matter experts, and other experienced coders to develop digital solutions for clients across the world by taking what they have learned or conceptualized and coding it into an implementable reality.  While we solve these problems, we dev together, we play together, and we support you to find the time for your family, non-work fun, and your passion – whatever it may be. \n\nWith us you will\n\n\n* Architect solutions that help solve the most pressing issues for companies across the globe implementing elegant and well-documented code.\n\n* Make our platform, BRG DRIVETM an increasingly more competitive and compelling solution by championing and implementing new ideas and features.\n\n* Provide an active, creative and knowledgeable voice during project roadmap and strategy brainstorming discussions.\n\n* Create new features by designing and implementing proof of concepts and coordinating the final implementations.\n\n* Make sure our code is clean and elegant by collaborating with the team during code review to maintain standards and code base knowledge.\n\n* Dev your passion into reality. GAT believes in giving you time to chase after something that interests you even if it doesn’t make a direct or immediate impact to our work as we believe it provides innovation and inspiration into all that we do.\n\n* Learn far more than you knew before you started working with the team and share those insights with the team.\n\n\n\n\nAbout you\n\n\n* Be a committed team player who works well with various stakeholders to ensure the best outcome.\n\n* Flexible and creative enough to accept that client needs can be very different, and they change. You thrive – not cringe—at this reality and enjoy finding a way to work in the confines and the requirements of such a technical solution.\n\n* Have strong spoken and written communication skills including the ability to talk to non-dev people and explain what you are doing and why you do it the way you do.\n\n* Have a passion for learning new things and pushing the envelope.\n\n* Taking pride in own work and demonstrating attention to detail.\n\n\n\n\nWhat is on the table\n\n\n* Competitive salary and benefits package\n\n* Working as part of a remote and dynamic DevOps team\n\n* Several “devcations” a year (pandemic permitting), held in different cities around the world, where you assemble with the DevOps team (and others depending on the need) to scope new features, and enhancements that build the revenue potential and scalability of BRG DRIVETM \n\n* Custom remote working travel kit to allow a flexible lifestyle\n\n* Yearly training and certification budget\n\n\n
