**Promising drone-delivery startup is hiring a 3D game developer to work remotely. We need a game developer to develop a simulator in which we can train our virtual drones to fly around and deliver small packages. This drone will then deliver millions of meals and other packages in the real world.**\n\nWe are creating a food delivery app that uses autonomous drones to deliver the food. Our drone is 10 times more energy efficient, and 25 times more quiet than any other delivery drone. It is also very versatile and can fly autonomously through complex environments. We achieve this by training our autopilot in a simulator. Your job is to build that simulator.\n\nThe first part of your job will be to develop a city environment with realistic graphics. Then you will add a realistic model of our drone, with physical flight behaviour that is close to the real flight behaviour.\n\n# Responsibilities\n Because our machine learning algorithm needs a lot of variety, the simulator needs to be able to generate an infinity of different city environments. A lot of this is already done, we have a random terrain generator, a random building generator and many other features. The dynamics of the "gameplay" need to have a lot of variety as well. In each virtual delivery, the drone weight, the wind, the weight of the package etc. have to be a bit different. You will spend a lot of time creating these algorithms that are able to generate a big variety of situations. \n\n# Requirements\n* The most important thing is that you are excited about this project, and like the mission of our company.\n\n* You know how to develop Unity games, and you can show multiple projects you did in the past.\n\n* You are proficient at C#\n\n* You are good at software development in general. There will be some tasks that go beyond simple game development, like creating an efficient way for our autonomous flight software to fly around the game, and optimizing the computational speed \n\n#Salary\n$30,000\n\n\n#Location\n- 🌏 Worldwide

\nJob description\n\nEnjoy solving puzzles and making cool visuals?  \n\nWe are looking for developers who enjoy working on high performance graphics visualization and related algorithms (collision, shading, geometry calculations etc) either in Unity3D and/or WebGL.  We also need smart flexible people who enjoy optimizing algorithms in c# and are open to a variety of experience backgrounds like desktop game development, computer vision, mobile app graphics, WebGL or other performance sensitive graphics oriented backgrounds.  \n\nWhat We Do\n\nThe team at MapLarge builds cutting edge products for data analytics and visualization to make us safer, more productive, and more efficient.  The Maplarge API provides real time geospatial analytics for over 15 billion location events per day and trillions of historical events. Analysts using our geospatial visualization capability can instantly visualize and publish for data discovery and model testing on any desktop, mobile or tablet device.  \n\nWho We Need\n\nAlgorithm / Core Database Development -  We built our own in memory database and distributed data analytics pipeline from the ground up with funding from DARPA, and we have a team of really talented researchers working on Pattern analysis, Streaming analytics, Spatial queries and Network graph functions that power our visualization and predictive analytics engines. We are always looking for practical people who love writing highly optimized code that straddles the line between research and software development. We don't usually publish scientific papers, but we are right out on the edge pulling algorithms out of the latest research papers finding really fast "good enough" approaches that let us tease interesting patterns out of data without getting lost in "science experiment land".  We need high energy people who enjoy working quickly with a fast paced team. We release new versions of amazing products at a rapid pace (usually every day) and solve hard problems for the largest enterprises in the world.\n\nCultural Fit - While we hire all kinds of people and invent roles to fit them, there are three key traits we require of every team member that really define our team.  \n\n* Fun to Work With - Life is short and work should be fun.  \n\n* Extremely Smart - We work on cutting edge hard problems and we need people who can both architect and code these systems at the same time while working with a highly intelligent peer group.  \n\n* Passionate Engineers - We need people who really love programming and exhibit the energy and creativity that comes from being fully engaged in what you do.\n\n\n\nRequirements:\n\n\n* US Person based anywhere in the US (100% remote allowed but no offshore)\n\n* 5 Years work experience as a programmer\n\n* Highly Comfortable with Graphics code, C# and Visual Studio\n\n* Experienced solving challenging optimization problems\n\n\n
