LI.FI is hiring a
Remote Senior Fullstack Engineer

\nJob Description\n\n\nJumper is cryptoโ€™s everything-exchange powered by LI.FI. By building on the sophisticated cross-chain infrastructure of LI.FI, we offer a comprehensive multi-chain experience for any and every person in crypto to move and use their funds across chains as easily and flexibly as they desire.\n\n\nOur vision? We want to make multi-chain DeFi easy and fun!\n\n\nWhile we live under LI.FIโ€™s umbrella, we pride ourselves in our small but excellent and very agile team. Jumper already has over 100k active users, and still we are only now getting started to build it from the ground up. As a Senior Full-Stack Engineer you would be at the core of this new adventure - completely owning the realization of Jumperโ€™s underlying infrastructure and bringing new ideas to life!\n\n\n \n\n\nA quick run-down of the job\n\n\nWe are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer who will lead the design, development, and maintenance of our scalable and secure backend infrastructure. This includes the establishment of a completely new backend and a scalable infrastructure for Jumper. Additionally, you will be very hands-on in our frontend and the LI.FI widget integration in order to quickly ship new features. In this role, you are expected to split your work between frontend and backend. In order to move quickly, the emphasis initially will likely be on frontend work during the first few months, with a gradual shift towards backend responsibility over the near-term.\n\n\n \n\n\nWe are a small team, and every one of our engineers is expected to strongly contribute to Jumperโ€™s success by coming up with independent ideas and solutions to complex challenges. The current team includes: a Senior Full-Stack, a Junior Frontend Engineer, a Product Designer, a Technical Product Manager and a Business Lead. In addition, one more Full-Stack Engineer will be added to the team soon. In the near future, we would also love to see one of the Sr. Engineers to evolve into an engineering lead position for our small team.\n\n\n \n\n\nOur current stack:\n\n\n\n * Node.js running TypeScript code in Docker containers\n\n * NextJS and React.js\n\n * MongoDB and Redis\n\n * Github, Kubernetes, AWS and CloudFlare for our GitOps CD chain\n\n * Ether.js and Wagmi\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\nPlease note: You must be located in the EMEA region. Your application will not be considered if you're outside EMEA.\n\n\n \n\n\nWhat youโ€™ll do\n\n\n\n * Architecting and implementing scalable and robust infrastructure solutions that can handle growing user loads and evolving business needs (we are already used by over 100k monthly active users).\n\n * Developing and maintaining comprehensive test suites, including unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests, to ensure the reliability of backend systems.\n\n * Design and develop high quality frontend applications that are testable and maintainable.\n\n * Be responsible for development of prototypes, new frontend features and React components.\n\n * Leading the design, development, and maintenance of a newly developed Jumper backend system and APIs.\n\n * Collaborate closely with the Software Engineers, Product Manager and Designers within your team.\n\n * Review the work of your teammates and support them in their growth through guidance and mentorship where needed.\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\nWhat makes a good candidate\n\n\n\n * Must be located in the EMEA region.\n\n * Effective communication skills (in English) with the ability to build relationships and work in a small but excellent team while self-guided on a day-to-day basis.\n\n * Extensive professional experience in a similar role (as senior or lead).\n\n * Experience in UX/UI development.\n\n * Experience in software design and architecture.\n\n * Knowledge of testing frameworks and principles.\n\n * Passion for new technologies and ability to autonomously evaluate them and make suggestions for improvement.\n\n * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science is a plus.\n\n * Previous working experience in the blockchain space or related technical understanding is a plus (especially with Wagmi).\n\n\n\n\n\nWe encourage you to apply if you feel your experience and skills equip you for this job but are not listed here!\n\n\n \n\n\nCompany culture\n\n\n\n * \nEmpowered teams: We take the best person with the right skills, and then inspire them to use them! We trust our team and give them the space and ownership to excel and achieve.\n\n * \nFlexible time management: We believe work should adapt to your life, not the other way around. We only schedule a few fixed meetings every week โ€“ you're free to arrange the rest of your time as you like.\n\n * \nInclusive culture: Itโ€™s our priority to make our whole team feel included, appreciated and respected. Our global, culturally diverse team is our most important asset.\n\n * \nRemote-friendly: Weโ€™re a fully remote, global company. As long as youโ€™re not on Mars (the WiFi is terrible we heard), being part of our team from the comfort of your own home works perfectly well for us.\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\nWhat youโ€™ll get\n\n\n\n * Entitlement to a work computer (choice of equipment).\n\n * Unlimited remote days and flexible working hours.\n\n * Annual team off-sites (Thailand was a blast last year & Vietnam will be even blast-ier).\n\n * An annual 1000โ‚ฌ personal development budget once you have worked 6+ months (pro-rated the first year).\n\n * A one-time 1000โ‚ฌ remote budget to use on co-working, office setup, etc.\n\n * Initial equity allocations once you have worked 6+ months.\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\nCompensation & Package\n\n\nBase package + equity \n\n#Salary and compensation\n No salary data published by company so we estimated salary based on similar jobs related to Design, Crypto, React, Docker, Testing, Typescript, Senior, Engineer and Backend jobs that are similar:\n\n $70,000 — $110,000/year\n

Parity Technologies is hiring a
Remote Rust + Typescript Engineer

Rust + TypeScript Engineer\n\nParity is one of the world's most experienced core blockchain infrastructure companies, having built and pioneered some of the most advanced technologies in the blockchain sector. Parity was founded by Dr. Gavin Wood, co-founder and former CTO of Ethereum, the primary engineer behind the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), inventor of the Solidity programming language, and primary author of the Ethereum Yellowpaper.\n\nBased in Berlin, London, and Lisbon, Parity has built clients for Ethereum, Bitcoin, and Zcash and has pioneered a completely new, next-generation blockchain protocol with Polkadot and the framework itโ€™s built with, Substrate. Parity builds the open-source technologies needed to power an unstoppable, decentralised webโ€”known as Web3โ€”and helps developers and organisations implement and build upon the Web3 tech stack.\n\nWith a remote-first, global team, Parity is building open-source technologies for developers and organisations to implement and build upon. Our Web3 tech stack includes Polkadot, Substrate, and Kusama.\nPeople in our collective are:\n\n\n* Highly motivated to contribute to Parityโ€™s mission and be part of something bigger\n\n* Excited to work on projects that are groundbreaking and complex\n\n* Autonomous workers that self-initiate, but also collaborate well with others\n\n* Taking maximum accountability and having minimum ego at work\n\n* Comfortable with chaos and adapting to the ever-changing Web3 space\n\n* Continuously educating themselves about Parity and the wider ecosystem\n\n\n\nAbout the team:\n\nYou're applying to join the Product Engineering department, and you'll be focused on building and maintaining tooling and applications (written primarily in Rust and TypeScript) which make it easier for developers to explore and interact with Substrate based blockchains such as Polkadot.\n\n \n\n\n* Some examples of the projects you're likely to contribute to:\n\n\n\n* \nsubxt: a Rust based client library which makes it easy to connect to a Substrate based chain and interact with it.\n\n* \njsonrpsee: a Rust based implementation of the JSON-RPC protocol for client-server communication (used in Substrate and Subxt).\n\n* \nsubstrate-api-sidecar: A RESTful service build using TypeScript which exposes some high level APIs for gathering information from Substrate nodes\n\n* \nsubstrate-telemetry: a Rust backend and TypeScript+React frontend responsible for gathering and displaying live information about chains on the Polkadot network.\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout the position:\n\n\n* Youโ€™ll design, build and maintain Rust-based tools/libraries to help internal/external teams build, debug, instrument and manage substrate-based blockchains.\n\n* You'll find yourself gradually taking ownership of different areas of our codebases and projects.\n\n* \n\n* You'll likely spend around 70% of your time contributing to our Rust projects and 30% contributing to our TypeScript ones, with the exact split depending on your own skills and preferences.\n\n* You will work fully remotely, working in a remote team of ~10 engineers based mostly around Europe.\n\n\n\nAbout you:\n\n\n* Be able to work autonomously and function well in a distributed team. A big part of this is being an excellent communicator; conveying ideas clearly, helping others, sharing regular progress updates and raising concerns and blockers quickly.\n\n* Take an interest in blockchain technology in general and Substrate/Polkadot in particular: you'll build an awareness of the problems that the ecosystem faces and how we can help to solve them.\n\n* Have a passion and enthusiasm for the Rust programming language, its community and values: we use Rust extensively, and often push it to the limits to deliver robust and performant software.\n\n* Have demonstrable experience in TypeScript, in particular open source projects, and keen to grow and improve in this area.\n\n* Have a good understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, HTTP and WebSockets, and demonstrable experience building HTTP based APIs and clients.\n\n* Ideally you'll live within 2 hours of UTC+0, but exceptional candidates outside of this timezone will also be considered.\n\n\n\nAbout working for us:\n\n\n* Competitive remuneration packages based on iterative market research, including tokens (where legally possible)\n\n* โ€œFuture of workโ€ environment thatโ€™s remote-first and self-initiating with flexible hours\n\n* Team mates that are genuinely excited about their impact and projects\n\n* Access to the brightest minds in this space to learn about Web3 and develop your skills and knowledge while on the job\n\n* Becoming part of the wider ecosystem (career and networking opportunities)\n\n* Team and company-wide retreats\n\n* Work laptop\n\n* Opportunity to relocate to Germany or Portugal (with visa sponsorship)\n\n\n\n\n \n\nThose joining our collective as an employee in Germany, Portugal, and the U.K. also enjoy benefits such as health care, parental leave, PTO (28 days per year), local team events, yearly L&D budget, and language classes.\n\n\n\n\n\nParity is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Obol is hiring a
Remote Senior Frontend Engineer DApp Development

\nWho Are We?\n\n\nObol Labs is a remote-first research and software development team focused on Proof of Stake infrastructure for public blockchain networks. Specific topics of focus are Internet Bonds, Distributed Validator Technology, and Multi-Operator Validation. The core team includes 35 members spread across +14 countries.\n\n\nThe core team is building the Obol Network, a protocol to foster trust-minimized staking through multi-operator validation. This will enable low-trust access to Ethereum staking yield, which can be used as a core building block in various Web3 products.\n\n\nThe Network\n\n\nThe network can be best visualized as a work layer that sits directly on top of the base layer consensus. This work layer is designed to provide the base layer with more resiliency and decentralization as it scales. In this chapter of Ethereum, we will move on to the next great scaling challenge, which is stake centralization. Layers like Obol are critical to the long-term viability and resiliency of public networks, especially networks like Ethereum.\n\n\nObol as a layer is focused on scaling main chain staking by providing permissionless access to Distributed Validators. The network utilizes a middleware implementation of Distributed Validator Technology (DVT), to enable the operation of distributed validator clusters that can preserve validators' current client and remote signing configurations.\n\n\nSimilar to how roll-up technology laid the foundation for L2 scaling implementations, we believe DVT will do the same for scaling the consensus layer while preserving decentralization. Staking infrastructure is entering its protocol phase of evolution, which must include trust-minimized staking networks that can be plugged into at scale. We believe DVT will evolve into a widely used primitive and will ensure the security, resiliency, and decentralization of public networks.\n\n\nThe Obol Network develops and maintains three core public goods that will eventually work together through circular economics:\n\n\nThe DV Launchpad, a User Interface for bootstrapping and managing Distributed Validators\n\n\nCharon, a Golang based middleware client that enables validators to run in a fault-tolerant, distributed manner.\n\n\nObol Splits, a set of solidity contracts for the formation of Distributed Validators tailored to different use cases such as DeFi, Liquid Staking, and Fractionalized Deposits \n\n\n\n\nSustainable Public Goods\n\n\nObol is inspired by previous work on Ethereum public goods and experimenting with circular economics. We believe that to unlock innovation in staking use cases, a credibly neutral layer must exist for innovation to flow and evolve vertically. Without this layer, highly available uptime will continue to be a moat.\n\n\nThe Obol Network will become an open, community-governed, self-sustaining project over the coming months and years. Together we will incentivize, build, and maintain distributed validator technology that makes public networks a more secure and resilient foundation to build on top of.\n\n\nThe Role \n\n\nThe focus of this role is on developing and enhancing React-based web applications for interacting with the Ethereum blockchain to create Distributed Validators. This includes creating user-friendly interfaces, integrating with wallets, and ensuring the applications are absolutely secure and reliable.\n\n\nThe goal of this role is to enable the proliferation of Distributed Validators in the Ethereum Staking Ecosystem, by making them easy to create, view, understand, and interact with. This role requires working with agency and autonomy. It requires collaboration with cross-functional internal teams as well as dealing with external stakeholders. Obolโ€™s Distributed Validator Launchpad, Obolโ€™s static website, Obolโ€™s typescript packages, and other applications will be under this roleโ€™s remit. \n\n\n\nResponsibilities\n* Develop and implement new features for our web applications using React, showcasing your expertise in creating user-centric solutions.\n* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product owners, designers, and QA engineers, to ensure seamless delivery of high-quality products.\n* Contribute to Obolโ€™s coding standards, design patterns, and development methodologies.\n* Drive innovation by researching and adopting the latest trends and technologies in the React ecosystem, ensuring our applications remain secure, competitive, and cutting-edge.\n* Act as a technical mentor for junior developers, providing guidance and support to help them grow and excel in their roles.\n* Collaborate with external partners integrating Obol technology into their dapps using the Obol SDK.\n* Take responsibility for maintaining and enhancing our current products, including our component library (obol-ui) and DApp (dv-launchpad).\n* Improve the accessibility of our interfaces to all types of internet users.\n* Harden the security of our React software and its supply chain.  \n\n\n\nRequirements\n* Professional experience in React-based Ethereum Application Development (examples below).\n* What we use for React Development: Typescript, Next.js, React Hook Form, SWR, Zustand, @headlessui/react, stitches.dev, tailwindCSS and others. \n* What we use for Ethereum Development: Foundry, Hardhat, Ethers.js, web3-react, @obolnetwork/obol-sdk, @metamask/eth-sig-util, @0xsplits/splits-sdk(-react), @gnosis.pm/safe-core-sdk, @synthetixio/synpress, @chainsafe/(bls/discv5/ssz) and others. \n* Previous delivery of react websites that enable non-custodial, wallet-based interaction with mainnet Ethereum or a similar EVM network with more than $100k in value handled. \n* Knowledge of JS/TS security and testing best practices.\n* Knowledge of JS/TS CI/CD best practices.\n* Experience working with Agile Software Development methodologies.\n* Web3 professional experience.\n* Proven ability to maintain and contribute to Open Source repos \n* Timezone between UTC-2 to UTC+3 \n\n\n\nNice to have\n* Ethereum staking experience.\n* Node.js or other backend development experience.\n* Solidity development experience.\n* Familiarity with docker and/or running servers.\n* SQL/NoSQL experience.\n* Experience working in a distributed remote team.\n\n\n\nBenefits\n* Fully Remote Working and flexible hours.\n* Meet the team at our Annual Offsites.\n* Chance to attend crypto and staking conferences.\n* Working with the purpose of decentralising Ethereum.\n* Generous paid time off.\n* Budget for equipment.\n* Budget for training or education.\n\n\n\n\n\nThank you for your interest. Slides With Friends is hiring a
Remote Senior Full Stack Engineer Vue.js

Slides With Friends is a platform for interactive presentations, group education, live polls/quizzes, and team building โ€” we make group experiences more engaging, educational, and fun.

Our small remote team is looking to hire our first non-founding software engineer. Youโ€™ll work directly with our technical co-founder to help build and release new features as well as improve the reliability, speed, and organization of our codebase. This is a central, hands-on role and you will be a core part of the team: your work will directly improve our customers lives and you will see immediate results from the things you build.

As our first engineering hire it will be your job to bring technical expertise to our team and help us balance the need to develop and release new features regularly with the need to improve our code quality, organization, and testing. We aim to move at a deliberate, steady speed that will bring us the most progress and the best product over the long run.

To do well in this position you should have years of experience writing clean and reliable code, shipping features regularly, and taking ownership of complex projects from start to finish. You will be the primary builder of our software โ€” this is a role for someone who likes to code and ship profusely and has the experience to do so well.

What weโ€™re looking for

  • You have 6+ years of hands-on experience building complex production software for the web
  • You have a minimum of 2 years working with VueJS professionally
  • You have a strong grasp of HTML/CSS including grid, flexbox, use of preprocessors, and optimizing for browser compatibility
  • You want a role that is primarily code contribution (e.g. building and launching features)
  • You have a visible track record of delivering products and feature to end-users
  • You have solid written and verbal English skills and communicate clearly
  • You are experienced with modern best practices for automated testing, CI/CD, git, etc. and can help us improve where we need it
  • You have experience organizing large projects for reliability, testability, performance, and upgradeability and you have opinions on how best to do these things
  • You like to take ownership of projects and donโ€™t need a lot of oversight or handholding
  • You understand the high-level goals goals of a project and create code that meets those goals, integrates elegantly with the rest of the codebase, and is ready for the future
  • You like to architect a project so it will be maintainable, testable, and extensible in the future. Thinking ahead is a key aspect of development for you

Extra credit

  • You have a CS, engineering, or similar degree
  • Experience building highly-available, scalable, real-time applications
  • Experience with Apollo/GraphQL/WebSockets
  • Experience with PostgreSQL, Hasura, or cloud systems (AWS)
  • Experience with use of Cloudflare, Fastly, or CDN
  • Experience with SVG or Canvas rendering/animation

Technology

We currently use the following tech:

  • VueJs/Nuxt (migrating from 2 to 3)
  • Hasura backed by PostgreSQL
  • Apollo GraphQL over websockets
  • Cypress E2E testing

In the future we will be moving to: Vue3/Nuxt3, Typescript, more E2E testing, Storybook

Why work with us:

  • 100% remote and async team, we like working with talent wherever you are
  • Work when and how you want - we care about results not your hours
  • Your work will go directly into the hands of users and youโ€™ll have a real impact
  • Work directly with the founders and get firsthand experience building and growing a bootstrapped SaaS company
  • Focus on deliberate growth and speed, not burnout-level pressure. Our goal is to build wonderful products over years, not push our team to the edge.
  • We value deep work and autonomy and have few meetings and minimal overhead

Things you might do:

  • Help us migrate to Vue 3 and TypeScript, adding tests and improving the organization of our code along the way
  • Suggest architecture changes that would improve performance and reliability for end-users
  • Architect and build a โ€œsingle-playerโ€ or async mode for our presentations to help teachers and trainers assign quizzes
  • Implement a method for changing text sizing, positioning, and design on our responsive slides
  • Build new interactive slide types to add to our slide deck builder
  • Build a fast and light embeddable version of our interactive slides to use as live quizzes on a website
  • Update our GraphQL subscriptions, and relevant Postgres indices, to improve performance for groups of 1000+ simultaneous participants
  • Diagnose WebSocket disconnect issues and create a resilient solution that keeps our users connected and reduces error rates

About us

Our founders live in Philadelphia, PA (USA, UTC-5) and the team works remotely in a variety of time zones. Slides With Friends was started during the pandemic to help distant groups stay connected and have fun remotely โ€” and we are continuing with the mission of helping improve group experiences, social gatherings, and remote relationships. We want to bring software to the world that has a positive impact and brings people together.
