At Koj, we want to disrupt the furniture industry and change how people live by offering a better, more sustainable, and more affordable alternative to traditional furniture retail. With Koj, consumers get their apartment fully-furnished by a professional interior designer and rent high-quality furniture on a monthly subscription. Once they move out, Koj takes all the furniture back, renovates it, and the cycle repeats. You can check out a demo of our product [here](https://www.loom.com/share/3a67d2596297438ebb7a41c204eed707).\n\nA core part of Koj's value offering is a photorealistic rendered view of the user's apartment. This role requires expertise both as a 3D artist and a programmer. As our 3D Technical Director, you'll be working directly with (not for!) the founders [Carlo](https://carlobadini.com/) and [Anand](https://anandchowdhary.com/), and play an important role in moving the company forward.\n\n## **Responsibilities**\n\n- Contribute to the development of each step in our 3D rendering pipeline\n- Develop scripts for automated generation of Blender file templates\n- Develop custom Blender add-ons and plugins for automating common tasks\n- Generate photorealistic apartment renders and design 3D product models\n- Be responsible for giving feedback to others to help improve their performance (and be receptive to receiving feedback from others).\n\n## Requirements\n\n- Solid technical understanding of 3D rendering workflows and pipelines\n- Strong mathematical understand of computer graphics\n- Highly skilled in Blender (both modeling and rendering)\n- Proficiency in Python and Blender scripting\n- Experience with building Blender add-ons\n- Have an insane work ethic. You work tirelessly to ship the best product possible\n\n## Nice to have\n\n- Experience with other 3D modeling and rendering software (e.g., 3DS Max, Maya, Cinema 4D, etc.)\n- Experience with web-based 3D graphics (e.g., WebGL, three.js, Babylon.js, D3.js, etc.)\n- Experience with or interest in full-stack JavaScript/TypeScript \n\n#Salary or Compensation\n$50,000 — $120,000/year\n\n\n#Location\n🌏 Worldwide
