Remote Senior Analytics Engineer

\n\n\nPlayStation Studios is the game development division of Sony PlayStation, and is responsible for developing some of the most recognizable and ambitious console games and franchises on PlayStation, including The Last of Us, Horizon, Spider-Man, Ghost of Tsushima, God of War, and Gran Turismo.\n\nWe work with some of the best game studios in the world, and use data to help them make their games even better. We provide end-to-end analytics services for PlayStation Studios and use data to help them in the game development lifecycle. We are looking for talented people to join us in pushing the boundaries of game analytics for PlayStation games.\n\nAs a Senior Analytics Engineer, youโ€™ll work in our cross-disciplinary engineering team to scale our platform, expand its reach, and help define and build the future of analytics for PlayStation games. You should have a passion for video games and a background in data or analytics engineering.  Youโ€™re looking for a fun, dynamic environment to take on new challenges.\n\nIn your first six months, you will work on new title launches, and build data models to ensure efficient and consistent queries. Youโ€™ll also help expand our use of technologies, such as dbt and airflow, in ways that are suitable to our use cases. You will be given ownership of data models for specific games and work closely with Game Analytics team members and game studio colleagues to ensure weโ€™re building with consistency and performance in mind. This might include using tools & technologies such as dbt, SQLMesh, Great Expectations, Airflow, AWS Glue and Spark SQL. You will help improve and port our existing data modelling infrastructure to these new technologies.\n\nWeโ€™d love to hear from you if:\n\n\n* \n\nYou are adept at writing SQL on analytics (OLAP) databases (preferably Redshift, or similar databases)\n\n\n* \n\nYou have experience implementing and using data modelling tools such as dbt or SQLMesh\n\n\n* \n\nYou have experience in transforming business needs into data model requirements & solutions\n\n\n* \n\nYouโ€™re excited by Big Data projects and technology, and want to gain more experience in this area\n\n\n* \n\nYouโ€™re committed to quality as a top priority, and have an interest in repeatable, testable, destructible, test-driven database development\n\n\n* \n\nBonus points for:\n\n\n* \n\na degree in Computer Science\n\n\n* \n\nexperience with Python, AWS Glue, Spark, source control (Git, Liquibase), Airflow\n\n\n* \n\nfamiliarity with AAA game development and modern console games\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n#LI-RSG\n\n#LI-remote\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n No salary data published by company so we estimated salary based on similar jobs related to Senior and Engineer jobs that are similar:\n\n $67,500 — $115,000/year\n
