By building on the sophisticated cross-chain infrastructure of LI.FI, we offer a comprehensive multi-chain experience for any and every person in crypto to move and use their funds across chains as easily and flexibly as they desire.\n\n\nOur vision? We want to make multi-chain DeFi easy and fun!\n\n\nWhile we live under LI.FIโ€™s umbrella, we pride ourselves in our small but excellent and very agile team. Jumper already has over 100k active users, and still we are only now getting started to build it from the ground up. As a Senior Full-Stack Engineer you would be at the core of this new adventure - completely owning the realization of Jumperโ€™s underlying infrastructure and bringing new ideas to life!\n\n\n \n\n\nA quick run-down of the job\n\n\nWe are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer who will lead the design, development, and maintenance of our scalable and secure backend infrastructure. This includes the establishment of a completely new backend and a scalable infrastructure for Jumper. Additionally, you will be very hands-on in our frontend and the LI.FI widget integration in order to quickly ship new features. In this role, you are expected to split your work between frontend and backend. In order to move quickly, the emphasis initially will likely be on frontend work during the first few months, with a gradual shift towards backend responsibility over the near-term.\n\n\n \n\n\nWe are a small team, and every one of our engineers is expected to strongly contribute to Jumperโ€™s success by coming up with independent ideas and solutions to complex challenges. The current team includes: a Senior Full-Stack, a Junior Frontend Engineer, a Product Designer, a Technical Product Manager and a Business Lead. In addition, one more Full-Stack Engineer will be added to the team soon. In the near future, we would also love to see one of the Sr. Engineers to evolve into an engineering lead position for our small team.\n\n\n \n\n\nOur current stack:\n\n\n\n * Node.js running TypeScript code in Docker containers\n\n * NextJS and React.js\n\n * MongoDB and Redis\n\n * Github, Kubernetes, AWS and CloudFlare for our GitOps CD chain\n\n * Ether.js and Wagmi\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\nPlease note: You must be located in the EMEA region. Your application will not be considered if you're outside EMEA.\n\n\n \n\n\nWhat youโ€™ll do\n\n\n\n * Architecting and implementing scalable and robust infrastructure solutions that can handle growing user loads and evolving business needs (we are already used by over 100k monthly active users).\n\n * Developing and maintaining comprehensive test suites, including unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests, to ensure the reliability of backend systems.\n\n * Design and develop high quality frontend applications that are testable and maintainable.\n\n * Be responsible for development of prototypes, new frontend features and React components.\n\n * Leading the design, development, and maintenance of a newly developed Jumper backend system and APIs.\n\n * Collaborate closely with the Software Engineers, Product Manager and Designers within your team.\n\n * Review the work of your teammates and support them in their growth through guidance and mentorship where needed.\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\nWhat makes a good candidate\n\n\n\n * Must be located in the EMEA region.\n\n * Effective communication skills (in English) with the ability to build relationships and work in a small but excellent team while self-guided on a day-to-day basis.\n\n * Extensive professional experience in a similar role (as senior or lead).\n\n * Experience in UX/UI development.\n\n * Experience in software design and architecture.\n\n * Knowledge of testing frameworks and principles.\n\n * Passion for new technologies and ability to autonomously evaluate them and make suggestions for improvement.\n\n * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science is a plus.\n\n * Previous working experience in the blockchain space or related technical understanding is a plus (especially with Wagmi).\n\n\n\n\n\nWe encourage you to apply if you feel your experience and skills equip you for this job but are not listed here!\n\n\n \n\n\nCompany culture\n\n\n\n * \nEmpowered teams: We take the best person with the right skills, and then inspire them to use them! We trust our team and give them the space and ownership to excel and achieve.\n\n * \nFlexible time management: We believe work should adapt to your life, not the other way around. We only schedule a few fixed meetings every week โ€“ you're free to arrange the rest of your time as you like.\n\n * \nInclusive culture: Itโ€™s our priority to make our whole team feel included, appreciated and respected. Our global, culturally diverse team is our most important asset.\n\n * \nRemote-friendly: Weโ€™re a fully remote, global company. As long as youโ€™re not on Mars (the WiFi is terrible we heard), being part of our team from the comfort of your own home works perfectly well for us.\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\nWhat youโ€™ll get\n\n\n\n * Entitlement to a work computer (choice of equipment).\n\n * Unlimited remote days and flexible working hours.\n\n * Annual team off-sites (Thailand was a blast last year & Vietnam will be even blast-ier).\n\n * An annual 1000โ‚ฌ personal development budget once you have worked 6+ months (pro-rated the first year).\n\n * A one-time 1000โ‚ฌ remote budget to use on co-working, office setup, etc.\n\n * Initial equity allocations once you have worked 6+ months.\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\nCompensation & Package\n\n\nBase package + equity \n\n#Salary and compensation\n No salary data published by company so we estimated salary based on similar jobs related to Design, Crypto, React, Docker, Testing, Typescript, Senior, Engineer and Backend jobs that are similar:\n\n $70,000 — $110,000/year\n

\nWho you are\n\nYou are looking for a challenging and rewarding experience. You are inspired by our vision and the opportunity to define a new category in an incredibly fast-growing market. You are excited to learn, grow and collaborate so we can achieve our mission of creating opportunity for all through mobility.\n\nAt HopSkipDrive, we know that challenges require different approaches, unique perspectives and new ways of thinking.  We are building a team of creative problem-solvers from many different backgrounds.\n\nYour role:\n\nA Rails Engineer III will enter this level capable of taking well-defined tasks and completing them in a way that is considered by the team to be high-quality with supervision from more senior team members. The progress through this level is focused on taking tasks of increasing complexity, scope and importance and completing them with very high quality with a lessening need for manager/tech lead oversight.\n\nThis level is the bread-and-butter level of engineering growth. Engineers at this level should be focused on becoming great engineers, learning how to set high quality bars for their work without sacrificing productivity. All engineers at and above this level should religiously follow stated best practices for the team without excessive hand holding. Engineers at this level will continue to make mistakes, but should be improving the speed at which they learn from these mistakes. When given a task with unclear requirements they know how to ask for clarification, and ensure that all assumptions are vetted before work starts to reduce the need for re-work. They understand how their work fits into the larger picture for their team, and use this to identify conflicting requirements to their tech lead and product manager. An important focus of this level is developing empathy for the users of their software, whether they be internal employees, customers, or other developers on the team. A team member at this level is seeking out the context they need to understand the why of a particular feature and nurturing this empathy via that understanding.\n\nAbove all, they want to build something that fundamentally improves the lives of families.\n\nWhat you will do:\n\n\n* Communicate well with all members of the team\n\n* Perform well-defined engineering tasks; doesnโ€™t get caught up in the unknown, works to figure it out, asks questions\n\n* Alert manager/team to any issues preventing their work from being accomplished, asks for help\n\n* Actively pursue improving engineering skills, including but not limited to problem solving, writing readable/testable/efficient code, mastering technology in our stack, and learning to anticipate scaling issues.\n\n* Seek to tie stories back to user value and impact for our drivers and organizers\n\n* Contribute meaningfully to the definition of stories\n\n* Pick up any story and suggest a solution for completing it\n\n* Lean into challenges when they offer the potential to create large impact, and does so with productivity and positivity\n\n* Be able to dive in to an area of the code/product that youโ€™re not familiar with and make changes\n\n* Make sure your code is readable & easy to maintain\n\n* Make sure your code is tested appropriately\n\n* Review other engineersโ€™ code and provide constructive feedback\n\n* Monitor changes in production and rollback if necessary\n\n* Have production access and use it responsibly\n\n\n\n\nWhat you'll need:\n\n\n* 2+ years experience with Ruby on Rails\n\n* 3+ years of professional software engineering\n\n* Solid experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL\n\n* A thirst for knowledge and continuous learning\n\n* Experience working on a team in a professional setting\n\n* Demonstrated ability to collaborate well with a team\n\n* Demonstrated ability to learn from mistakes\n\n* Demonstrated ability to unblock themselves, asks for help where necessary\n\n* Demonstrated good communication skills with teammates and showed a good degree of emotional and professional maturity.\n\n* A connection to HopSkipDriveโ€™s mission and values\n\n\n\n\n** This role will be fully remote from a state where we do business AZ, CA, CO, FL, IL, KS, MD, WI, OK, UT, TN, NC, SC, NV, NM, NJ, NY, OR, TX, VA, WA, MO, MI**\n\nWhat you will get\n\nWe want you to be an owner in our company and share in executing our vision, so every full-time employee has equity.
