\nYouโ€™ll help small businesses choose and onboard with Gusto, and develop deep customer centric sales skills while helping us reach and serve more customers. Youโ€™ll work with a dynamic team of sales professionals, product experts, and leadership to help you excel in your career. \n\nYour role will be to help small business customers choose Gusto. Interacting with customers who sign up on our website via email, chat, and live phone interactions, youโ€™ll help match our people platform offering to their specific business needs, exercising advisory sales skills. Youโ€™ll help them navigate an important onboarding process, demonstrating sophisticated customer success skills.\n\nOur team of over a hundred sales professionals includes folks practices across all channels and with different types of customers, but we all share deep passion and commitment to solutions selling: our company exists to solve problems for small businesses, and our sales team is a vital front door for small businesses who need and love our solutions. We have communal goals, a team spirit, and company leadership that cares about selling the right way.\n\nHereโ€™s what youโ€™ll do day-to-day:\n\n\n* Answer live inbound calls and chats, and engage in email communication at a high volume, with customers at different points in the sales process: discovery, decision, and onboarding \n\n* Support customers through the process of onboarding which is about 70% of your daily conversations\n\n* Aid customers in selecting Gusto via the Sandler Selling System - this makes up about 30% of your daily conversations\n\n* Develop customer empathy and product expertise\n\n* Exercise and master advisory selling of solutions for small businesses\n\n* Participate in community and career development opportunities at Gusto\n\n\n\n\nHereโ€™s what we're looking for:\n\n\n* Minimum of 1 year previous experience working in a high volume sales or customer service environment where you were cross selling, up-selling, or maintaining a quota / KPIs. \n\n* Desire to pursue a career in sales long term \n\n* A commitment to customer empathy and ethical business practices\n\n* Passion to achieve goals and improve your craft\n\n* Excellent communication skills both via phone and email/chat\n\n* Motivated by challenge and adaptable to change\n\n\n\n\nOur cash compensation range for this role is offering hourly pay from $21.15 - $24.52 for Las Vegas & most remote locations. While acting small by investing in you, your growth, your team, and giving you the autonomy to solve our clients' problems, no matter where you are in the world. \n\n \n\nLOCATIONS: AZ, CA, CO, CT, DE, DC, FL, GA, ID, IL, IN, KY, ME, MA, MN, MI, MO, MS, NE, NC, NJ, NM, NY, OR, OH, PA, SC, TN, TX, VT, VA, WA, WI, \n\nYOUโ€™LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:\n\n\n* Provide day-to-day financial support to client partners and activation leads and assist with business management at the client and project level. \n\n* In coordination with the legal team, maintain and track client contracts for month end close and ensure compliance with revenue recognition policies. \n\n* Partner with the senior client teams and sales in pricing client proposals, assisting in responding to RFP/Is and the development of budgets to maintain margins as needed. \n\n* Reviewing all new and renewal client contracts as assigned and monitoring contractual relationships with clients to ensure compliance with all commercial and compensation terms.\n\n* Maintaining and managing accurate data for clients in financial systems and reporting templates regularly. \n\n* Actively present any issues forward with additional data reporting or presentations if needed to the Director and propose solutions to resolve concerns. \n\n* Prepare month-end revenue recognition schedules and journal entries along with preparing client variance analysis. \n\n* Lead client profitability meetings with C-level executives, with the ability to explain low and high margin accounts. \n\n* Collaborate with business partners to build robust financial models to support strategic planning, facilitate decision-making, and provide recommendations and analysis to management\n\n* Support the forecasting, month end close and annual budgeting process with focus areas on client profitability, revenue and gross margin with the client teams. \n\n* Proactively monitor projects, estimates and rate cards to ensure accuracy as well as project activity\n\n* Liaise with DEPT entities on intercompany transactions inclusive of reviewing and helping to set up intercompany contracts, pricing for cross sells and negotiation of rates. \n\n* Improve and automate existing processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy\n\n* Assist in audits, including client, internal DEPT and external financial\n\n* Partner with the Director, Resource Management and Operations on special projects and initiatives. \n\n* Proactively report on client and business lines trends such as attrition analysis, gross margin issues, etc. \n\n* Additional support as needed from the Director related to operationalizing the finance department and client finance. \n\n\n\n\n \n\nYOUโ€™LL NEED TO HAVE:\n\n\n* Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or business preferred\n\n* 3+ years experience, with at least 2 years experience in Client/Commercial Finance within an Agency or Professional Services Firm. \n\n* Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS accounting principles and their practical application related to revenue accruals preferred (ASC 606, IFRS 15). \n\n* Experience in with Financial Systems such as Anaplan and Netsuite\n\n* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel skills; Experience with Google Product Suite software applications is a plus. \n\n* Forward thinking - challenges the status quo and proactively and creatively identifies opportunities for improvement\n\n* Ability to effectively work and communicate with finance and non-finance stakeholders\n\n* Able to effectively manage workload, prioritize and streamline tasks to ensure accuracy and take โ€œownership-mentalityโ€ in work/clients/practices\n\n\n\n\n \n\nWHAT DO WE OFFER?\n\nWe are a collaborative, open-door, best-idea-wins environment that fosters personal and company growth and has fun doing it.
