You’ll be working on big, exciting projects like optimizing our social media post queueing system, building out UI components using React, adding support for social media platform-specific features like native video, and getting our onboarding juuuust right so that every user has a mind-blowing experience from their very first login.\n\nToday Edgar is built with Rails, Postgres, and React. We do our best to write solid, well-tested code and we keep an eye out for new technologies that improve our development experience.\n\nYou’ll be joining our small Product & Engineering team, working daily with:\n- Chad, Engineering Director\n- Kevin, Product Director\n- Yuta, Senior Full-Stack Developer, who also serves as our Lead Architect\n- Sarah, Usability Project Manager, who also serves as our dedicated QA\n\nAnd you’ll also be frequently working alongside Kristina and Megan on our Customer Experience team. \n\n**Spoiler alert** Take a sneak peek at this position's current "Work Agreement" here: http://ed.gr/sfsdev\n(We write these up with every employee at MeetEdgar and update them at least once a year to make sure we're all on the same page about how we're being evaluated and what types of expectations surround our roles.)\n\n# Responsibilities\n We have code reviews and like to pair program when it makes sense. We love solid tests and continuous integration, and we deploy several times a week. We’ve worked hard to create our version of an ideal developer environment. \n\nWorking with us, you can expect low overheads, support and camaraderie when you need it + minimal interruptions the rest of the time with no arbitrary deadlines or strict release cycles. \n\nDevelopers at MeetEdgar have a huge impact on the product and a lot of autonomy when it comes to technical decisions and helping our team get it right for our users. You’ll have final responsibility for the solutions you build, from discussing feasibility with the product designer all the way through to deployment, so your teammates know exactly who to shower with praise when you ship to production.\n\nWe also set aside opportunities from time to time for everybody to pursue their own creative ideas from start to finish in company hack weeks and to learn from one another during opt-in activities like lightning lunches and demos of work happening in other departments. \n\nWe have a strong interest in actively improving our work environment, and at MeetEdgar you can expect your voice to be heard. \n\n# Requirements\nYour experience should include . . . \n\n✅ A history of professional experience as part of a software development team\n\n✅ Senior-level development skills and the ability to handle the full development life cycle from start to finish (for us, senior-level means you have the skillset and previous experience to fairly fearlessly approach even the major-est changes we want to make to the product; a proven history of exercising good judgement in decisions that consider the full scope of the project; and that you deliver code that not only works but is well-tested, well-reasoned, and well-documented as needed)\n\n✅ Modern JS development experience with React and Redux (or similar) \n\n✅ You've solved common problems like authentication, payment, asynchronous processing, and scheduling\n\n✅ You have been celebrated for your communication skills and commitment to working as part of a team trying to build something together! \n\n✅ You've worked to improve the dev process in previous roles and recognize the value of maintaining and contributing to an awesome company culture\n\nSome logistical notes about the job . . . \n\n- This is a full-time position with 40 hour work weeks (we're super committed to adhering to those 40 hours... emergency situations that require additional time or off-hours are very rare here!)\n\n- We're remote, but we work synchronously. We keep to normal, regular business hours in North American time zones. (No burning the midnight oil!) \n\n#Location\n- North America

### About us:\n\nSince 2005, over 300,000 websites have used Crazy Egg to understand how their audience experiences their website and their product. We are pioneers in data visualization, in conversion rate optimization, and in helping small and medium businesses get immense value quickly and accurately from incredibly large data sets. That's what we love to do. We are looking for a product and customer minded Full Stack Engineer to help build on that foundation and improve our product, and the tools, technology and platform we use to help our customers. You will be joining Crazy Egg as a Full Stack Engineer and help in scaling our systems and move us towards a service oriented architecture. Here's what that looks like at Crazy Egg, and here are the values you’d be excited to stand behind:\n\n### As a team we strive for:\n\n- Direct, undeniable, customer impact. We have incredible customers that we're grateful for and we believe the best teammates are the ones who, regardless of function or discipline, are eager and excited to find a way to connect their work directly to customers.\n- Trusted independence with interdependence. You are fully trusted as a full owner of the work you do; self-determined, responsible, accountable, and celebrated. With that freedom, you acknowledge, a broader social context. We work together, we partner, we collaborate, and we make sure the work we take on and hand off is done thoughtfully and with care.\n- Assume positive intent. All outcomes may not be what we desired, what we expected, or what we needed. But they happened because people take chances and are willing to make decisions. We assume people try their hardest and try their best, we assume their actions started with the most positive of intentions. Every conversation, assessment, piece of feedback, starts with that assumption, on both sides. This ensures our team is built on a foundation of trust.\n- Care and inclusion; sincerely. We work at Crazy Egg because we believe in the opportunity, we believe in the vision, we believe in our people, and we believe in our ability to build something wonderful. It is those beliefs that also mean we care about the market, we care about the vision, we care about each other, and we care about building something wonderful. When all of this falls into place, our customers are able to build better businesses and succeed.\n\n\n### As an engineer what we hope you strive for:\n\n- The ability to work independently and with other engineers to develop new user experience-focused web applications, or provide support for existing systems.\n- Have the ability to work on multiple parts of a web application, from internal backend APIs to dynamic frontend interfaces.\n- Collaborate with designers, front-end specialists, other engineers, stakeholders, and clients to understand business goals, analyze requirements, formulate solutions, and ensure the successful execution and delivery of the end product using the best technologies.\n- Assist in scoping, estimating, and planning of projects.\n- Participate in code review, pairing, and other forms of knowledge sharing.\n- Support of production applications may be required on some projects.\n- Mentoring and helping others grow and make an impact\n\n### Experience and Skills we’re looking for:\n\n- Prior experience in developing single page applications - We use Ember.js/React/Redux/GraphQL\n- Prior experience developing web applications using web frameworks - We use Ruby on Rails/Node/Elixir/Phoenix.\n- Excellent planning, communication and collaboration skills\n- Understanding of best practices for web development and software design\n\n### Nice to have, but not required experience:\n\n- Previous remote working experience (nice to have but not necessarily required)\n- Prior client services, consulting, or freelancing experience\n- Working in a startup environment\n- Previous role as a team leader\n- Working on web applications that process large volumes of data and/or receive high volumes of traffic\n- Using a variety of AWS tools\n- Using Docker and Kubernetes in a production environment\n\n\n### Perks and Benefits\n\n- We believe in building the best team possible, regardless of geographic location. Our team is fully distributed all over the world and we believe in working where you’re the most productive and happiest.\n- We have full trust in you and believe in finding a good balance. Work should be a paced marathon, not a sprint, and so. \n- We have an unlimited vacation policy.\n- We provide full benefits of Dental/Medical.\n- We believe in supporting your growth and opportunity. Crazy Egg was founded 14 years ago by accomplished founders.\n- If you’re looking to learn what it takes to one day break off on your own and start your own startup, we think this is a good opportunity for you.\n\n#### Direct applicants only. No recruiters please.\n\nIf you’re interested in joining us, please share a bit about yourself, your background, and why you’re interested in joining our team to [email protected]

\nSupreme Golf is looking for a backend developer to work on our golf tee time aggregation service. Working with design/development leads, you will be involved in all aspects of development, including planning, execution and testing. You are someone who solves problems creatively, learns quickly and doesn't mind getting outside of your comfort zone.\n\n\n\nWe are looking for someone comfortable working the full stack, but understand that it's impractical to be an expert in everything. If you like to dabble in the graphic design space or are have experience on the frontend, that works for us as we overlap in responsibilities. We are not looking for people that dream about the Redis protocol or CSS3 transformations. However, if you dream about golf, that's okay, so do we. We are not looking for ninjas, Jedi, or rockstars. We are looking for people passionate about work — at work.\n\n\n\nWe are looking for someone that has experience in the following technologies and tools: Amazon S3, Ansible, Debian, Git, GitHub, HAML, Honeybadger, Linode, jQuery, Mandrill, Middleman, NGiNX, Passenger, PostgreSQL, ReactJS, RSpec, Rails 4.2, Redis, Ruby 2, SASS, Sidekiq, Twilio. We are looking for someone who can build for IE9+ and the latest versions of Safari, Chrome and Firefox.\n\nSupreme Golf is a small remote team with a fairly flat organizational structure. Some of us are in Dallas, Texas (Corporate Offices), some in Washington State, some on the East Coast. Our preference would be to hire someone located in or around Dallas, TX but we will accept applicants from anywhere in the United States.
