Hello! [Ellipsis Marketing](https://getellipsis.com) is a small and fast-growing marketing agency for WordPress businesses. We sit at the intersection of digital marketing and the WordPress ecosystem, serving agencies who sell websites to the biggest companies in the world, and product businesses who sell addons to millions of WordPress users.\n\nBetween us, we have the skills “in house” to do marketing strategy and implementation in the most effective areas for WordPress businesses. We want to expand our CRO expertise and service offerings, which is where you come in!\n\nAs a 100% remote team, we carefully balance collaboration with an environment that lets everyone do their very best work. We’re based in the UK but regularly travel for work, WordCamps, and pleasure :)\n\n**As our new Conversions Manager, you'll work closely with our team and network of freelancers to lead our CRO projects, offer expert consultative insights, and deliver amazing results to clients.** You’ll report to our Head of Content and Conversions and will be our first team member specifically focused on Conversions.\n\nThis role is an excellent opportunity to spread the word and benefits of CRO to an industry in need of your expertise. You'll need to champion CRO, educate potential clients, and develop our processes. We have the opportunity to help hundreds of product businesses and agencies in our target market, and we need you to help us do that.\n\n**This position breaks down as follows:**\n\n* 50% managing and delivering client projects\n* 25% hands-on CRO work\n* 25% internal CRO projects\n\n# Responsibilities\n **Your main responsibilities include:**\n\n* Deliver our CRO services to clients, including: email marketing campaigns, conversion-focused copy, and some A/B testing. You'll do some of this work directly yourself, and some of this work will be done with external contractors. You’ll own and manage these projects.\n* Offer expert consultancy on CRO to our clients through our CRO and Marketing Audits, and our own marketing efforts.\n* Collect, report, and analyse data across all our projects to ensure we deliver the best service to clients. You’ll support the business by improving our methods for monitoring client data, then providing actionable insights to the rest of the team and clients.\n* We'll work with you to develop our CRO services, and you have the opportunity to develop these. We currently handle a handful of CRO, copy, and email projects. Part of your role will be to build this capacity; this will involve building your own team in the future. \n\n# Requirements\n**Requirements**\n\n**Requirements: hard skills**\n\n* Deep expertise in and expert knowledge of CRO, especially for eCommerce / SaaS / digital products:\n* Advanced use of spreadsheets for data analysis and capture\n* Experience with customer research/discovery\n* Experience creating, editing, and testing copy which converts\n* Experience leading projects, managing external freelancers, and handling moving parts\n* Experience dealing with and reporting to clients, ideally in an agency setting\n* Availability to work on European time (GMT/CET)\n* Fluent English speaker\n* WordPress user (advanced usage desirable but not essential), Google Analytics, GSuite\n\n**Requirements: soft skills**\n\n* Great communication skills: Remote work relies on a team being able to fully trust each other, so frequent and clear written communication is a must\n* Proven organisational skills: You must be obsessive with deadlines, managing and updating tasks, and totally reliable\n* A “people person”: You’ll be dealing with external contractors and clients on a daily basis. We care about working well together :)\n* Self-driven work ethic: You need to be self-motivated and comfortable taking initiative and seeing things through to completion\n* Curiosity and the desire to learn: As our business grows, we’re constantly adapting and evolving with it. What will be the skills of tomorrow? Flexibility is essential\n\n**Bonus points if you have:**\n\n* Experience with WordPress or knowledge of the WordPress ecosystem \n* Experience planning and implementing campaigns and wins for clients who need CRO but are new to it\n* Experience building basic email automation sequences which convert\n* Familiarity with project management and remote-work tools, e.g. Basecamp\n* Marketing agency experience, including client-facing\n* Knowledge of B Corp business principles\n\n**Benefits:**\n\n* This is a full-time, 100% remote role. Work from home, or the beach!\n* Competitive full-time salary with pension, benchmarked to UK rates and based on experience. We expect this to be ~£33-39k\n* 28 days of paid holiday\n* Monthly remote-working allowance\n* Regular team retreats (in fun places! ~2 per year)\n* Attendance to conferences in Europe with the team (1-2 per year)\n* The role has plenty of scope for personal development, and to grow and add more responsibilities as the business grows\n* Maternity and paternity leave, and sick pay\n* Ellipsis is aiming to become a B Corp by the end of 2020 \n\n#Salary\n$40,000\n\n\n#Location\n- 🇪🇺 EU-only

We are looking for a designer/developer who will have two main goals:\n\n1. Brainstorm creative changes to our sites that improve traffic and performance, and then...\n2. Make those ideas happen.\n\nHe or she must be able to continually imagine new strategies — everything from the obvious to the insane — and then design them, build them, test them, report on them, and finally make them live.\n\n**Skills & experience…**\n\n*Web development.* Proficient in JS, HTML, CSS, WordPress, and PHP (optional but preferred).\n\n*A/B testing.* You know how to set up and track A/B tests that measure whether users are doing what you are predicting they do.\n\n*Design.* Proficient in the major design softwares. UX-driven.\n\n*Comfortable in Google Analytics.* You know what questions to ask regarding the effectiveness of your tests and you know where to look to get the data.\n\n*Data-driven aesthetics.* You have your design ideals, sure, but you’ll shut them down as soon as you see the numbers pointing toward a different aesthetic. If the data shows that Papyrus is the font people click on more, we use it. It hurts, we know…but it works.\n\n*Familiarity with the viral web.* You understand that even though this corner of the web is all about happy and heartwarming content, really it’s a strategy and numbers game. And you want to win.\n\n*Self-motivated.* You care enough to do something crazy. We don’t want to ask for your ideas every day. We want to tell you to chill out because you have too many ideas on your own. And when you’ve been given the green light on an idea, you drive the project forward with little need for oversight.\n\n*Cunning.* You push every boundary except ethical ones in your creative attempts to grow traffic and improve performance.\n\n*Self-learner.* When you need to know something that you don’t already, you figure it out.\n\n*Confident and personable.* You can interact well with the team, pitch your ideas, and convince the rest of us to try your crazy plans.\n\n*Idea-generation.* “Brainstorm” is too mild of a word for the insane rush of creative thought spinning around in your mind.\n\n**This role’s constant workflow…**\n\n* Have a new idea for how traffic and site performance might improve.\n* Design and develop this innovation.\n* Create and track A/B tests to see if your new idea is effective.\n* Analyze data and create a report based on the results.\n* Present the results to the team.\n* Decide with the team whether to implement the new idea.\n* Implement the proven idea on the site.\n* Manage meticulous QA.\n* Start over at step 1.\n\n\n\nExtra tags: design, development, wordpress, data, google analytics, javascript, html, css, creative, growth hacking, testing, a/b testing
