\nArt+Logic is looking for Full Stack Web Developers to work with us on interesting custom software projects. We’ve been around since 1991, and we’re still going strong. \n\nOur ideal developers thrive in the environment of variety and challenge that is inherent to custom software development, working with us in a long-term relationship over many projects for numerous clients.\n\nSince we do custom software development, the skills and needs for each project can vary widely. This goes beyond just the languages we use, to the industries and problem domains we work in. We look for generalists; most importantly those who are excited to learn and take on new challenges. You can expect to grow both in your strength and your versatility when working here. We want to help you do so.\n\nWe work remotely all over the United States and Canada. We expect you to be able to work well on your own and comfortably with teams. You won’t have someone looking over your shoulder so you'll need to be communicative and reliable, and hold yourself accountable. We depend on each other.\n\nArt+Logic is run by humans, who work and create using technology. Things can go wrong and we need to respond to the unexpected by being kind, considerate, fair, flexible, and calm. We treat our clients and peers as respectfully as we would like to be treated.\n\nHere’s an example of some projects we’ve worked on recently, so you can better understand the wide range of projects and challenges we undertake:\n\n\n* Implementing a Django-based DoD CAC card login\n\n* Writing a data model layer using SQLAlchemy to provide an object-oriented view of a legacy relational database schema. This model layer provides all business rules and data integrity using advanced python3 features. This data model in turn serves a REST API (python-pyramid) consumed by an advanced single-page web application written with Marionette (Backbone)\n\n* Created Windows tablet application to communicate with client's modbus hardware and upload data to Python/Django/Vue webapp for analysis and display\n\n\n\n\nWhat we want from you: (aka: skills)\n\nWe currently have a high demand for Python, specifically Django, and JavaScript web framework experience. \n\nHowever, more important than that, we are looking for people who are curious and looking for opportunities to learn. People who like learning and creating on their own. Those who are able to drive themselves or even lead others when completing projects. Developers who are able to organize and express their ideas. Communication is paramount here.\n\nRelationship Details:\n\nWe are looking for Contractors (1099) for long term open-ended relationships. Work hours are flexible; requiring reasonable overlap with normal working hours to support team communications, and not just nights and weekends. Our rates range from $35-$55/hour. We are ONLY looking for people in the United States and Canada.\n\nWe want you to enjoy working for us, and to be able to have a life outside of work. Since you're not commuting you can embrace the freedom of working from where you enjoy living, and use the saved time for your personal life and relationships. We don’t ask our developers to work consistently over 40 hours/week. \n\nIt’s important to us in the hiring process that we allow developers to demonstrate their abilities by actually developing something, because a list of previous employers or educational background aren’t always indicators of what someone can do. All applicants are asked to submit a solution to a programming challenge that emulates a task we might assign on a project.

Zeige uns, was Du bisher gemacht hast.

This job post is closed and the position is probably filled. Please do not apply.
\nWe are doing internet media buying (banners, emails, ...) in different interfaces.\n\nEach interface we have to 'hack' if we want to become really profitable.\n\nBuild our robots track for example time when conversions (sales) happened and then we get statistics - when is it affordable to have our ads shown and when it isn't... so we setup day parting properly on our ads.  Or that we adjust bids (price willing to pay accordingly).\n\n\nReally, PHP thing I can see if you can do or not, but statistics if you don't understand it, nobody can teach you that you need to compare apples to apples to get meaningful data.\n\n\nYou can be located anywhere but I need perfect English so you understand interfaces.\n\nThis is fulltime position and I need you to think with your head.  We are a small but cool team and you become a member of it -- we expect a lot from you, but also once we accept you, you're one of us -- 'smart hackers' outsmarting marketing competitors with technology and brains.\n\nIf interested, please answer this when applying:\n\n1) what was your last company you worked for and how long you worked for and why you quit or what happened.\n\n2) how good is your experience with php\n\n3) how your day looks like, what are your hobbies\n\n4) how often you’re online\n\n5) does it make big difference for you whether it’s Thursday or Sunday?\n\n6) If you need to get an expensive software for the project and you find the same on torrent site - are you going to download it and save the costs or do what is legal and spend money?\n\n7) do you work out?\n\n8) what salary you’re happy with per month?\n\n9) any relevant experiences?

\nWe hack.  \n\nWe hack systems, we hack people, we hack opportunities.\n\nBut not the way your usual hacking is done.  We don't do anything illegal or computer security related.\n\nWhat we do - we promote our product to multiple traffic channels, and optimize it and use our brains to get best quality traffic for cheap.\n\nWe do it by disabling bad performing banners.  By boosting and designing more good performing banners.\n\nWe do it by analyzing traffic to our site and finding patterns in who buys who doesn't.\n\nAnd for that - to get best data, we program advanced scripts so we make sure we get clear, fast and precise data.\n\nSometimes we are very successful - at those times we need to make sure our servers are not under heavy pressure and that structure is intelligent.\n\nOther times, common sense says it - when we don't have much success or traffic - then it's good to notice - hey we don't need this server when we use only 1/100th of resources, let's save some hosting charges and scale down.\n\n\nIn other words - understand what we are doing to so deep level that you can develop your own solutions.\n\n\nWe sell one of the best herbal testosterone supplements in the world.  Our stuff really works.  Works so well that our teammates are using it and asking us every couple of months if they can send themselves some more.\n\nFrom you - I need two things --\n\nI need perfect English.  This is no exception.  I need to be able to communicate with you and that you understand both spoken and written English.\n\nSometimes you'll communicate with our traffic partners and affiliates -- you can't talk like (if I say now the ad will be banned) but you know who has funny English and provides cheap phone support so is used by many companies in the us.  Starts with IND... :)\n\nAlright..\n\nBack to business, your programming skills need to be awesome.\n\nYou need to be online most of the day -- and when you are not - still be.\n\nI don't need you to have 100 years of php experience if your programming logic is good.  Same way if your logic sucks, no experience will make up for that.  So you need to prove me that.\n\nNow the questions for you to make sure you read this, understood and finally are a good fit for this cool but demanding position.\n\nThanks in advance for applying,\n\nDominic\n\n\n1) what was your last company you worked for and how long you worked for and why you quit or what happened.\n\n2) how good is your experience with php\n\n3) how your day looks like, what are your hobbies\n\n4) how often you’re online\n\n5) does it make big difference for you whether it’s Thursday or Sunday?\n\n6) If you need to get an expensive software for the project and you find the same on torrent site - are you going to download it and save the costs or do what is legal and spend money?\n\n7) do you work out?\n\n8) what salary you’re happy with per month?\n\n9) any relevant experiences?\n\n\nP.S. And about Jenna?  Well, sometimes we get massive traffic from sites like Jenna's -- that's another perk of working with us.  Cheers!

\nSeeking a C#/HTML5/JS developer for an awesome 100% remote contract position.  Ditch the daily grind and code with us from the comfort of your home or wherever your dev-dojo may be!\n\nThis is a 1099 6-month full-time (40hr/wk) contract, with opportunity for continuation, for developing a smart touchscreen IoT controller for use in the energy industry marketed by a Fortune 500 client.  There’s already a few thousand systems in the field and we need extra help to expand the feature set and target some new applications.  We’re ready for you to start coding with us right away!\n\nThe product is an IoT embedded system that’s installed in various outdoor locations on a utility pole, and connects to the internet with a cell modem or other means.  It uses an ARM processor running Linux and the Mono .NET runtime.  An HTML5/JS single-page app is served for both the local touchscreen and remote access UI.\n\nWhat we’re using:\n\n\n* C# 4.5 on ARM/Linux/Mono, SignalR, OWIN/Katana, Dapper, JSON.NET, nUnit.  SQLite.  \n\n* HTML5/JS.  Angular, jQuery, Bootstrap, Require.  WebSockets.  We don’t do any page rendering on the server.  All pages are served static and rendered client-side from JSON data pulled and pushed from server API.\n\n* Developer activities are performed in VS2013, with cloud-based TFS revision control and rolling build.  Code/test/debug on Windows, deploy to Linux.\n\n* Low-latency collaboration via IM, voice calls, and video chat.\n\n* Lots of FOSS with frequent contributions.  In fact, the Software Lead has PR’s accepted into Mono, SignalR, JSON.NET, OWIN/Katana, and Chosen to name a few.  Get paid for working on FOSS code if it’s a bug-fix or feature needed in our project!\n\n\n\n\nWhat you’ll be doing:\n\n\n* Implementing code for features and bug fixes as directed by the Software Lead and product stakeholders.\n\n* Requirements gathering from time to time. For some tasks you’ll need to get on conference calls with the domain experts and figure out the details of what’s needed and how best to achieve it.\n\n* The primary focus for this contract is to expand the system capabilities to control Electrical Submersible Pumps.  There will be plenty of server-side C# work for the embedded logic and data flow as well as client-side JS for configuration, real-time status, reports, and history views.\n\n* Provide detailed analysis and recommendations to the Software Lead.  If you have a better way of doing something and can light the way, we’re open.  \n\n\n
