The Role\n\nAs Addepar's Systems Engineer - FinOps engineer you will help analyze cloud Infrastructure, track and project cloud spending. Detect unnecessary cost spend, and identify cost savings and cost avoidance strategies making full use of AWS tools and other 3rd party tools. Additionally, these ranges reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits.\nWhat Youโll Do\n\n\n* Support Addepar's production infrastructure in real time to ensure uptime and customer satisfaction.\n\n* Investigate, Elaborate and Present budget forecasts for our AWS cloud Infrastructure\n\n* Maintain / Improve existing tooling and automation to assist on Cost Optimization and Reporting\n\n* Provide visibility over the usage of AWS Accounts and other vendor budgets at different levels, including top management.\n\n* Provide short and long-term technical solutions.\n\n* Coordinate various teams to identify and eliminate wasteful or unnecessary costs.\n\n* Provide subject matter expertise to Core Platform Operation team to accurately cost implementations and help make cost efficient architectural choices based on AWS cost management capabilities and pricing models.\n\n\n\nWho You Are \n\n\n* Experience 5+ years in Infrastructure as Systems Engineer\n\n* 4+ years in FinOps or Cloud Cost Management\n\n* 5+ years experience running a large scale production environment including real time support and on-call responsibilities.\n\n* 1-3 years experience in configuring one or more monitoring/observability tools like: Splunk/SumoLogic, Prometheus+Grafana, Cloudwatch\n\n* Sophisticated knowledge of public cloud concepts and infrastructures (AWS)\n\n* Experience in cost offset detection, rightsizing, tagging and automation\n\n* Incident management experience\n\n* Experience with Linux/UNIX administration.\n\n* Proven experience with IaC solutions including Terraform, Salt, and Ansible.\n\n* Solid Linux sysadmin skills including troubleshooting, issue resolution, and day to day operations.\n\n* Experience troubleshooting AWS issues with base services such as EC2, S3, RDS and networking.\n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
