\nDatabase Administrator | NY Metro or Tri State Area Preferred | Solve Advisors Inc.\n\nSolve is a New York-based financial technology firm and a leading provider of real-time observable market data and data aggregation across multiple Fixed Income asset classes including all Structured Products (ABS, MBS, CLOs, etc.), Syndicated Bank Loans, Corporate Bonds (IG, HY, EM, etc.), CDS, and Municipals.\n \n We are looking for an experienced Database Administrator (DBA). The successful candidate will span multiple environments, teams, technologies and stakeholders. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be an integral part of both development and operations. This DevOps team will integrate technical advances of agile development such as continuous integration automation and version control of operations. This role would require cross functional work and frequent interaction with management. The ideal DBA should be proactive and dedicated and also maintain an ability to stay on target with multiple, simultaneous tasks.\n\nSolve’s technology team consists of back and front-end developers, QA engineers and is led by our CTO. The team collaborates to deliver product developments and enhancements across our internal systems and our desktop and web-based platforms. This is a fantastic opportunity where the right candidate to join a creative, rewarding environment and have a direct impact on Solve’s cutting-edge technology and product offerings.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\n\n* High impact/risk role\n\n* Develop monitoring tools for database/server performance metrics\n\n* Coordinate and perform data mods, database maintenance, etc. sometimes outside of business hours\n\n* Write, troubleshoot, and optimize complex SQL queries\n\n* Recommend and enforce best-practices\n\n* Be open to new technologies and creative solutions\n\n\n\n\nRequirements:\n\n\n* 5 years of hands-on experience installing, configuring, and maintaining MS SQL Server\n\n* Bachelor’s Degree\n\n* Strong knowledge of T-SQL\n\n* Ability to write/comprehend queries \n\n* Ability to follow directions and multi-task with a high sense of urgency\n\n* Ability to attend occasional meetings in Rockville Centre, NY and NYC when needed \n\n\n\n\nPreferred:\n\n\n* Prior SaaS company experience or financial technology (FinTech) firms\n\n* C#/.NET\n\n* AWS \n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
