As a software engineer at Packback, you will be building features that empower students and professors to have a better learning experience.\nPackback's A.I.-powered platform is used by college professors to help their students fall in love with the subject matter, drive personalized learning, and most importantly, quantify and improve student critical thinking skills.\nKey job duties include communicating well, providing thoughtful feedback to teammates, pairing, actively improving our team knowledge-base, and of course, writing code. You will have responsibility for bringing innovative features to market while working closely with the product team.\nRequirements\nWe're looking for somebody who is excited to both work on our codebase as well as run a team. To succeed, you need:\n* 3+ years of software engineering experience with web-based products. Transferable experience is more important than years of experience.\n* Interest in leading day-to-day operations for the team in an agile environment, mentoring junior engineers, and implementing process improvements.\n* Experience includes gathering requirements, designing technical solutions, tracking progress, and ultimately delivering technical projects.\n\n\nAdditionally, we're looking for:\n* Experience working with web frameworks and a cloud-based infrastructure.
