Our mission is to bring Meraki simplicity to the physical security market, leaving our users delighted as they solve problems and answer questions using our system.\n\nTHE OPPORTUNITY\n\nYou will work closely with a small team of mobile engineers, the Meraki mobile platform team, design and product management. Your team's mission is to fill a key gap in our feature set - a mobile experience that makes it easy and fast to monitor feeds, install cameras, investigate incidents, and respond to alerts from mobile devices.\n\nAS THE TECHNICAL LEADER ON THE MERAKI CAMERA MOBILE TEAM, YOU WILL:\n\n\n* Collaborate with the design and product management teams and decide what we should build, and why\n\n* Work with the mobile platform team to utilize and expand Meraki's shared mobile app code base for the new camera app experience\n\n* Design and build an experience that allows users to intuitively navigate up to 6 months of video, paired with rich metadata\n\n* Bring the video wall - multiple video feeds on one screen - to the mobile app\n\n* Enable using motion search - an area-of-interest tool for searching hours of video - on mobile\n\n* Use Bluetooth or other technologies to enable a seamless out-of-box installation and provisioning flow for wireless cameras\n\n* Guide and enable your team to build an app that we can support, and carry forward for many years - systems and designs that last\n\n* Break down and prioritizing lists of product requirements into smaller, deployable features\n\n* Perform technical design and code reviews\n\n\n\n\nYOU ARE IDEAL FOR THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE:\n\n\n* 2+ years of mentoring and technical leadership experience\n\n* 4+ years of mobile development experience with React Native (preferred) or Android\n\n* Experience prototyping, shipping, and iterating on a new product or complex feature\n\n* Have the ability to influence, facilitate discussion, and work in partnership with other teams\n\n* Strategic and product oriented mindset with a deep desire to understand users\n\n* A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field\n\n\n\n\nBONUS POINTS FOR:\n\n\n* Knowledge of multimedia and streaming video fundamentals (HLS, h.264 etc)\n\n* Experience building connected mobile apps\n\n* Experience working with rich multimedia - photo and video - mobile apps\n\n* Knowledge of wireless protocols (e.g., 802.11, Bluetooth)\n\n* Experience working on full stack web applications\n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
