\nBreezy HR's a globally loved, Jacksonville-based full-stack hiring platform for SMBs.\n\nAbout the role\n\nAs a MongoDB DBA, you will scale, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to MongoDB availability and performance. You will work closely with our engineering and product teams to expand Breezy capabilities and ensure the world-class performance of our software.\n\nBreezy is fast-paced and we're responsible for providing a critical service to our customers. with occasional travel (when safe) for team meetings and related events. Access to a reliable high-speed internet connection is required.\n\nWhat You Will Do\n\n\n* Participate in the management and operations of customer's MongoDB deployments\n\n* Participate in and execute scheduled change management procedures\n\n* Participate in the delivery of proactive tasks to improve the stability, performance, and fault tolerance of customer environments\n\n* Participate in project planning and execution of database operations\n\n* Contribute to the development of automation and monitoring software, and other essential tools and scripts\n\n\n\n\nYour Experience\n\n\n* 5+ years experience with MongoDB technology, with distributed software administration coupled with reasonably high MongoDB knowledge\n\n* Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal direction\n\n* Demonstrated ability to accept feedback from others\n\n* Communicates clearly and professionally to convey confidence even when under pressure\n\n* Ability to pass a required background check\n\n\n\n\nWhat Will Make You Stand Out\n\n\n* Distributed database (especially MongoDB) expertise in all areas of implementation: installation, configuration, upgrades, tuning\n\n* Strong skills in replication, sharding and backups techniques\n\n* Production experience on Multiple datacenters, Large datasets\n\n* Experience with Linux, FreeBSD distributions\n\n* Experience with ElasticSearch and Redis\n\n* Experience with at least one major programming languages such as Java, Nodejs, Go, Python, Ruby, and/or any client application programming experience used in conjunction with MongoDB\n\n* Experience with AWS, networking, system administration, hardware, virtualization, containers, scripting, Kubernetes orchestration, I/O subsystems\n\n* One or more of Puppet, Chef, Ansible, etc\n\n\n\n\nAttributes\n\n\n* Ability to work well with people and communicate effectively both internally and with customers\n\n* Ability to communicate information to staff members and customers in a clear and concise manner\n\n* Positive, helpful and supportive\n\n* Able to work independently with minimal direction\n\n* Strong work ethic and entrepreneurial approach\n\n* Accepts feedback from others\n\n* Communicates clearly and professionally to convey confidence even when under pressure\n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
