Your primary responsibility will be to continue to increase the talent on this already strong team keep high performers engaged and motivated, and ensure they have everything they need to be successful.\n\nAs part of the Documate team, you will inform and align the team around strategic decisions and ensure we follow the principles, strategy, and roadmaps that will ensure our success. In addition, you will manage budget, roadmaps, timelines, and overall execution in the team to ensure smooth collaboration.\n\nThe Role\n\n\n* \n\nFoster and facilitate the professional growth and development of our engineering team\n\n\n* \n\nBuild organizational capability within our team by recruiting and retaining outstanding talent and providing mentoring and training\n\n\n* \n\nMeet/exceed the security, reliability, performance and scalability required to continue to be the most trusted software in the industry\n\n\n* \n\nMaintain, improve, and document existing infrastructure (e.g., autoscaling, new services, optimizations)\n\n\n\n\n\nYour Technical Background\n\n\n* \n\n3+ years of successful leadership and people management experience and effectively mentoring senior leaders on management and technical tracks\n\n\n* \n\n10+ years of experience in software engineering and management\n\n\n* \n\nExceptional coding skills and strong skills in architectural and enterprise-level systems design\n\n\n* \n\nExperience assessing different technologies and choosing the right one for the business need\n\n\n* \n\nGreat record of building high-functioning teams and retaining the best engineering talent.\n\n\n* \n\nResults-oriented leader excited about working in a small, but fast-paced startup environment\n\n\n\n\n\nYour Soft Skills\n\n\n* \n\nYou’re an excellent communicator and can coordinate across teams to understand requirements and plan architecture and solutions as well as advise and assist on architecture and strategy across the company\n\n\n* \n\nYou take a thoughtful approach to building software and conduct research and planning before writing any code\n\n\n* \n\nYou love technology and building software \n\n\n* \n\nYou have experience working in a remote Agile environment\n\n\n* \n\nYou are a high EQ (low ego) collaborator who brings a problem-solver mentality to drive teams to get things done\n\n\n* \n\nYou have a persistent, winning attitude\n\n\n\n \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
