MayStreet solves this problem by managing collection, storage and API access to uniquely high-quality data sets. \n\nCurrent strategic pursuits\n\nThe Site Reliability Engineer will build, maintain and evolve the production systems of MayStreet and its related tools / systems at customer sites. This includes supervising initial deployments and guiding new customers through the initial learning process for operating the deployed systems. The position is based in New York City.\n\n\nResponsibilities\n\n\n* Primary engineering and operational support for multiple distributed applications \n\n* Improving all aspects of application reliability, including better monitoring, alerting and documentation\n\n* Engaging with our software engineering teams on support issues and improvements to our tools, processes, and software\n\n* Being a conduit between infrastructure and development teams\n\n* Educating and evangelizing DevOps best practices to the company at large\n\n\n\n\nQualifications\n\n\n* A bachelor’s degree in computer science, equivalent discipline or relevant work experience\n\n* Strong knowledge of Linux and cloud computing \n\n* The ideal candidate will have at least 3 - 5 years of relevant experience\n\n* Experience in customer support\n\n* Basic understanding of data access methodologies, including general API terminologies\n\n* Ability to interact with both software developers and customer operations staff\n\n* Experience using AWS, EKS, Cognito\n\n* The ability to program (structured and OO) in Python\n\n* In-depth knowledge and experience in at least one of: Ansible, Chef, Cloudformation, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes and a desire to learn more\n\n* Ability to profile and debug systems in real time\n\n* Understanding of agile SDLC, CICD and toolsets GitLab / Jenkins / Jira\n\n\n\n\nAdditional qualifications preferred:\n\n\n* Financial markets experience\n\n* Experience with authentication and encryption technologies like TLS, Kerberos and GSSAPI\n\n* Networking experience, analyzing packet dumps, multicast routing on hosts, packet filtering\n\n* OS/kernel experience such as familiarity with OS tunables, log analysis\n\n\n\n\nMayStreet perks\n\n\n* Competitive compensation \n\n* Company-paid medical, dental and vision insurance package\n\n* 401K with matching \n\n* Company stock options\n\n* Generous personal-time-off package \n\n* Entrepreneurial environment \n\n* Small team with growth opportunity\n\n* Exposure to all aspects of the financial technology services \n\n\n\n\nMayStreet is an equal opportunity employer \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
