\nAbout us:\nRetail Growth Fund acquired the Ice.com domain in 2014 to launchย the best place for women to discover and purchase jewelry. We don'tย take any inventory because we're a marketplace - which means our capital goes towards building IP and acquiring/retaining users.ย \nA few things that make us interesting:\n* The jewelry industry is a fragmented, $80B market (in the US alone), growing at 5%+ annually, that software has yet to disrupt.ย \n* You will be joining an awesomeย team led by Brandon Proctor and Justin Yoshimuraย (3x exits).ย \n* We are extremely data drivenย and technology/software is in our DNA. You won't be a second class citizen here, guaranteed.ย \n* We don't have time for assholes orย politics.ย \n* Competitive compensation package including equity in a high growth VC backed start-up (Crosslink, Maveron, Quest, Polaris). Salary/equity is determined based on a sliding scale: if you would like a higher salary, we can issue you less equity, and vice versa.ย \n* Small (12 person), growing, and agile team.ย \n* $1k gift card to dog food our own marketplace sellers!ย \n\n\nWhat we'd like to see:\n* True, full-stack engineers with extensive experience in Python/Django or Java. (Django is a key part of our stack but we use some Java).ย \n* Strong foundation in computer science, with competencies in data structures, algorithms, databases, software designย andย dev ops.\n* Work experience with relational databases and SQL.\n* Experience with agile development process in collaborative environment.\n* BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics ORย 4 years of relevant work experience.\n* Goodย understanding of performance tradeoffs.\n\n\nBonus Points:\n* We are currently using Magento, anย open source e-commerce platform built inย Zend PHP - yuck), but we are building a new, badass e-commerce platform (Django, Java, Node.jsย and integrating it withย Netsuite's order management tools (no need to re-invent theย entireย wheel, after all). Related experience is a plus.\n* MS or PhD\n* if you have an awesome Github repo, open source contributions, or a cool project you can demo, please cut to the front of the line...\n\n\nResponsibilities:\nAs a member of our small but seriously talented engineering team, you will play a key role in both shaping and building our technologies. Your scope will be broad, ranging from user-facing features to server-side components and libraries. We are looking for a generalist who enjoys learning and working with different technologies. And of course you will be expected to commit code on your first day.ย \n*This job description is not meant to be an all-inclusive list of duties and responsibilities, but constitutes a general definition of the position's scope and function in the company. \n\n#Salary and compensation\n
