Background Information - Job-specific:\n\nOffice of Information and Communications Technology (OICT) / Enterprise Application Centre- Asia (EAC-Asia).\n\nIn 2014 the Enterprise Application Centre- Asia (EAC-Asia) was established to serve as Asia-Pacific hub to build enterprise applications for the United Nations Secretariat. \n\nThe staff being located both in New York and Bangkok, EAC-Asia oversees the development and maintenance of enterprise applications such as iNeed Customer Relationship Management system (iNeed), Electronic Fuel Management System 2 (eFMS-2), Electronic Contingency-Owned Equipment (eCOE), and Electronic Rations Management System (eRMS) among others.\n\nCore enterprise application solutions have been built upon Siebel CRM public sector, Oracle-based identity management systems, JEE Spring Framework, PeopleSoft, SAP and Android/iPhone mobile platforms.\n\nThe is a home based position and the incumbent is expected to mainly work with teams based in Bangkok, New York, Valencia, etc. \n\nThis is a UNOPS position and the incumbent is expected to support projects carried out for the United Nations Secretariat. The incumbent will be part of EAC – Asia under the full responsibility of UNOPS. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nFunctional Responsibilities:\n\nThe incumbent provides expertise in SAP Material Management (MM) process management, module configuration, and client support for mission business users.\n\nUnder the direction of a Senior Project Manager, the incumbent is expected to undertake the following duties:\n\n\n\n* Conduct analysis for business process improvement;\n\n* Configure SAP material management module and validations;\n\n* Manage material master data;\n\n* Communicate with the business community with high level of client orientation and presentation skills;\n\n* Participate in mission trainings and deployments;\n\n* Frequent official mission travel is required\n\n* Perform other duties as may be reasonably required and in line with the incumbent’s scope of services above.\n\n\n\n\nMonitoring and Progress Controls - Impact of results: \n\n\n\n* Timely resolution of issues with high rate of business clients’ satisfaction\n\n* On time delivery of high-quality software with less defects introduced in the production environment\n\n* Timely delivery of properly configured modules aligned with the specifications, quality, and deadlines\n\n* Provision and updates of quality assurance standard operating manual\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEducation/Experience/Language requirements:\n\nEducation\n \n\n\n\n* A Bachelor’s degree in computer technology, information management, mathematics, economics, business administration or other related field is required.\n\n* An advanced degree in the related field is desirable.\n\n\n\n\nWork Experience\n\nRequired:\n\n\n\n* Minimum 2 years of progressively responsible experience in SAP process optimization and configuration in the area of material management (MM) or supply chain is required for a holder of a Bachelor’s degree in the relevant fields.
