We support several teams of developers working in Haskell, Python, and Typescript. The end-product is a combination of docker containers, puppet scripts, VMware templates, and OS services that create a cyber-security training environment. We are looking for a few folks to help us tackle some new problems. **You will:**\n\n* Design and improve tools to simplify the workflow of the development teams.\n* Bend Kubernetes to your will.\n* Manage and maintain the Jenkins build server.\n* Gradually chip away at the hand-built legacy systems by describing them in Ansible and Puppet code.\n* Design puppet modules that are called by our product to perform last-mile configuration on VMWare templates.\n* Design Ansible playbooks that are used to front-load as much as possible into pre-baked templates, similar to Amazon's AMIs. \n\n# Requirements\n**You are a good fit if you have:**\n\n* U.S. citizenship as required by our existing U.S. Government contracts.\n* Respect, compassion, and empathy for all types of humans\n* A Self-starter mentality that is highly motivated and can work effectively in a team\n* Dedication to the devops principle of using software development workflows to manage systems and infrastructure.\n* Passion for learning.\n* Advanced understanding of either Puppet or Ansible.\n* Advanced understanding of Docker.\n* Advanced scripting skills in either Linux shell or Powershell.\n* Working understanding of Git.\n* Understanding of the concepts required to build cloud-native infrastructure.\n**\nNice to haves:**\n* \n* Experience mentoring or teaching.\n* Experience with VMWare.\n* Experience with continuous integration workflows.\n* Experience with Kubernetes.\n* Experience with Hashicorp tools like Packer and Vault.\n* Produce high quality software that is well-written, well-instrumented, tested thoroughly and securely designed and implemented.\n* Fluent with git, GitHub, Docker, CI/CD and modern team software development and testing tools and practices, including Secure SDLC approaches\n* Strong oral and written communication skills \n\nPlease mention the words **POLAR JUNIOR CRASH** when applying to show you read the job post completely (#RMy4xNDkuMjUuODU=).
