We get the entire company together in the same place every month.\n\n\n\n\nAbout the role:\n\n\n* Core software engineer.\n\n* Reporting to SafeGraph's CTO.\n\n* Work as an individual contributor. \n\n* Opportunities for future leadership.\n\n\n\n\nRequirements:\n\n\n* You have at least 6 years of relevant work experience.\n\n* Proficiency writing production-quality code, preferably in Scala, Java, or Python.\n\n* Strong familiarity with map/reduce programming models.\n\n* Deep understanding of all things “database” - schema design, optimization, scalability, etc.\n\n* You are authorized to work in the U.S.\n\n* Excellent communication skills.\n\n* You are amazingly entrepreneurial.\n\n* You want to help build a massive company. \n\n\n\nNice to haves:\n\n\n* Experience using Apache Spark to solve production-scale problems.\n\n* Experience with AWS.\n\n* Experience with building ML models from the ground up.\n\n* Experience working with huge data sets.\n\n* Python, Database and Systems Design, Scala, Data Science, Apache Spark, Hadoop MapReduce.\n\n\n
