Smile, developer of the B2B SaaS productivity tool TextExpander, is looking to grow the team with the skills of a Test Automation Engineer.\n\nBring your passion for testing-to-perfection to our product, improving it with the aim of delighting our customers. The engineering team will rely on your technical expertise to take our development and test cycle to the next level. Weโre looking for a self-motivated and independent thinker who can work well with the team.\n\nWork with our talented, internationally diverse, remote team as we learn, grow, and continually improve. Ideally, start with a 6-12 month contract with the potential to lead to employment.\n\n# Responsibilities\n
* Work alongside the engineering team to produce automated acceptance tests for the TextExpander codebase, including both server-based acceptance tests and browser-based UI tests\n* Incorporate automated tests into the development environment for continuous testing\n* Develop formalized test plans and procedures\n* Collect and analyze test automation metrics\n* Work closely with the QA and Engineering teams to correct defects\n* Develop training for QA Automation process \n\n# Requirements\n* 3+ years of experience working in Quality Assurance roles\n* Mastery of test management software and QA Methodologies\n* Strong JavaScript coding experience\n* Working background with JavaScript testing frameworks such as Jest\n* Experience with web browser testing frameworks such as Selenium\n* Comfortable with mongoDB\n* Comfortable with Git\n* Strong English writing, communication & video conferencing skills\n* Self-starter with strong drive, comfortable with little supervision\n* Reliable, smart, honest, organized, positive, personable\n\nPreferred Experience & Skills:\n\n* Testing platforms such as TestComplete\n* Load testing frameworks\n* Automated testing in CI environments\n* TypeScript\n* Testing Mobile platforms (iOS / Android)\n* Comfortable with Macintosh, Windows, and Chrome operating systems\n\nBenefits\n\n* High level of autonomy in your role\n* Motivated and creative teammates\n* Flexible schedule\n* Work remotely\n* 6-12 month contract, potentially leading to employment\n* Rate based on experience\n\nSmile develops productivity software for Mac, Windows, Chrome, iPhone, and iPad.
