We are looking for an experienced Scala/Akka developer with strong multi-threaded development knowledge. Should have experience with the Lightbend reactive architecture.\n\nAn ideal candidate should be self-driven, experienced and detail-focused. Comfortable with technical problem-solving to convert a business solution into a high-quality drive and scalable technology solutions. We are a remote development agency and developers must make a concerted effort to assist and collaborate with colleagues through code reviews, remote pair programming, and proactive communication. \n\nPreference is given to candidates with experience in: \n\n\n* Akka\n\n* Kafka\n\n* AWS\n\n* OpenShift\n\n* Kubernetes\n\n\n\n\nQualifications:\n\n\n* 5 years minimum experience with Scala and experience as a Sr Developer on a production scale applications\n\n* Experience working with agile development practices (this project uses Jira)\n\n* Familiarity with AWS\n\n* Comfort with Docker\n\n* A strong understanding of concurrent, parallel, and distributed systems\n\n* Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science\n\n\n\n\nThe ideal candidate:\n\n\n* Motivated by a passion to create highly fault-tolerant apps with excellent design practices\n\n* Enjoys collaborating with other engineers on architecture and sharing designs with the team \n\n* Has experience working remotely\n\n* Interacts with others using sound judgment, good humor, and consistent fairness in a fast-paced environment\n\n\n
