Tigerspike is a global digital services company that solves complex problems by creating digital products, providing consultative services and helping businesses to define their digital strategy.\n\nWe're at an exciting stage in our growth, building a remote delivery team to support projects out of our NYC office and looking for our very first Technical Lead.\n\nReporting into the Technical Director of AMER, you will be responsible for leading teams of software engineers in the research, design, implementation, testing and maintenance of enterprise applications and platforms.\n\nThe Technical Lead role at Tigerspike is a varied one. Typically you will oversee a project (or two) from an architectural & code quality perspective without necessarily writing any code. You'll gain experience with industries that range from NGOs to Healthcare and have the opportunity to provide a meaningful voice in developing products that improve other people's lives.\n\nFor your first Greenfield project, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to redesign and build the next iteration of an existing enterprise insurance policy and claims processing system. You'll be given autonomy to architect and develop the solution with the technology of your choice, provided it meets the project's goals and client's needs.\n\nYou'll reimagine the product's interface and later re-architect their existing monolithic services layer to a modern, microservices architecture.\n\n**Who are you?**\n\nYou're an ambitious self-starter who shows perseverance because you're hungry for results. You're able to quickly learn and utilize new technologies and promote relevant emerging technologies to help improve the business.\n\nYou are comfortable steering projects to successful outcomes for our clients, their customers and Tigerspike by providing leadership, direction and focus to the project team members and clients alike.\n\nAnd lastly, your colleagues trust you and your integrity is untouchable.\n \n\n# Requirements\n* Extensive experience as a full stack engineer, designing and implementing software solutions using React or Node.js\n* AWS based serverless application development experience using the Serverless Application Model (SAM) or equivalent framework\n* AWS API Gateway, IAM, VPC and ElastiCache experience\n* Services Orientated Architecture Design and High-Level Solutions Architecture\n* Express.js (or equivalent framework)\n* EC2, IAM and VPC AWS experience\n* Opensource Relational Databases (e.g. MySQL, Aurora) and NoSQL databases\n* Previous leadership experience, managing/mentoring and motivating others to improve\n* Practical experience in Continuous Integration and writing highly testable code, simplifying Unit Tests\n* Proficiency with git when collaborating on code bases\n* The ability to drive the development forward and be able to translate business requirements into pragmatic solutions\n* A solid history of constantly improving your own knowledge and skills as well as improving processes for your organization\n* The confidence and passion to work in a client facing role, offering a consultative approach to development\n* An understanding of best practice in securing data, in transit and at rest, using industry standard encryption techniques\n* Experience in leading an agile software development team using Scrum and/or Kanban\n\n**It's a Bonus If You Also Have**\n* Microservices design experience\n* AWS Solutions Architecture Associate Certification \n\nPlease mention the words **NEWS TOE UNIT** when applying to show you read the job post completely (#RNDQuMjIyLjE0OS4xMw==).
